DH and I were looking forward to the Boeuf Bourguignon, linguine. It’s changed, drastically. It has a new presentation, in a cooking pot, but the quality of the meat and taste of the gravy/sauce was very disappointing. The liquid was so thin, it didn’t stick on the linguine.

Maybe others like the new taste and presentation, but we don’t think we’ll bother going back. The restaurant used to be a favorite.

Yea we noticed changes a few years ago and haven't been back.

We took Chef's off our list two years ago. Bummer
Until this, we always had something we liked to substitute for what was missing. Now, the Mac and cheese would be an entree we could share, but there’s nothing left that would appeal to us as the other entree.

Wow, that's a shame! I know you really enjoyed it. And I loved the rattatoie (not sure I spelled that right) I had last time. Now I'm wondering if that might have changed.

I hope it hasn’t changed. Maybe with my DSis, I could share that with Mac and cheese. DH wouldn’t care for ratatouille.

Seems the EPCOT non Disney owned are changing while only a guess…. To make up for the DP same type of experience at Mexico. The Disney owned have seemed to remain the same with the exception of snack prices and the morning muffin…. Once acceptable for the price now more expensive and nothing more than a small muffin stump with at best a small puff of a top.

I think you’re right - they’re adjusting menus so they can still make a profit after what the DDP pays them. My understanding is that restaurants in general operate on very thin margins.

I ordered that when we dined there in July.

I ate about 3 bites and was done. It was horrible.

I couldn't even eat the linguini because it was in a pool of that disgusting sauce.

That is disappointing to hear. I would still recommend the salmon if anyone is interested in the restaurant.

I never had a bad meal there but we haven’t dined there in 6 years. Years ago I stopped going to Ohanas after my first visit there in 1996. Quality at many Disney restaurants has gone south over the years

Our trip in May the food was ok but the waitress apparently didn’t like us and virtually ignored us while chatting with her other tables. It was so blatantly obvious that a nearby waiter brought us our food. I was nearly in tears she was so rude. No clue what we did

We used to really enjoy Chefs de France. Been going there since before they converted the patio to an indoor space (that’s a looong time ago!). Not anymore, unfortunately. It’s off our list too.

This use to be a place we would book every time we visited but started taking off about 2 or so years ago.
Now I just visit France for the Vue!

Last time I went in December 2022, I was disappointed - it wasn't terrible, but was just very average, things tasted overcooked or like they had been sitting out a while, service was spotty - I chalked it up to possibly being post-pandemic malaise, but it did make me less inclined to book it again. Monsieur Paul's in Dec 2023 was still very good though.

looking forward to the Boeuf Bourguignon, linguine.
This used to be one of my favorites also, even before when it was paired with potatoes vs. linguine. Unfortunately now it seems it is just a cheap knockoff of what the dish used to be. It is really disappointing because we used to really enjoy this restaurant.

Its average cruise ship food now

This used to be one of our favorites. The food quality seemed to drop about 3-4 years ago and it dropped off our list 2 years ago after a less than average meal. Too many better options out there. Which is too bad as its an awesome location.

Had lunch there a few weeks ago with friends and we had a very enjoyable meal. A large part of it was our fantastic server who knew the menu inside and out, had great suggestions, brought us multiple baguettes (the key to my heart ) , and was just a delight to talk with and told us a lot about his home in the French Riviera (we submitted a cast compliment in the app and spoke to the manager on the way out). I did notice the change in presentation on the boeuf bourguignon ... he actually recommended subbing mashed potato for the pasta and that was a great way to enjoy the sauce. It was not busy at all. Seems it has definitely fallen out of favor or perhaps that's true of all table service spots during Food & Wine. Anyway, I'd definitely go back but it's probably not at the very top of my list. I like that they have the option of the prix fixe OR ordering a la carte ... something for everyone. And champagne. 🍾
