A couple weeks ago I received an email with a pin code that said 10% off room for stays June 1-30, 2011. When I called Disney reservations, I was told it didnt state this in the email, but when she looks at it in the computer, its for anytime through December 24. She also tells me if I get book a package at a moderate resort, the discount is 25% of the rack room rate. Then she says, in addition, if a book a package, I also get a free ticket upgrade so I can add the park hopper feature as my ticket upgrade. This sounds great!!! So now I say Ill call back. I tell my daughter we can stay at a POR (25% discount + free ticket upgrade) instead of POP (10% discount). I sit down and figure out how much 10 nights, 11 nights, 12 nights, 13 nights & 14 nights would cost. This vacation is instead of a graduation party and present.
Imagine my surprise when I call to book a 14 night package at POR with and Im told the price is going to be $3364 instead of $2720. I will have to say the reservationist was very nice and spent about 30 minutes trying to find what the other reservationist found. All she sees is 10% off rack room rate, regardless of whether a value or moderate.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
