Our family of 5 usually goes to WDW every two years in the month of May,and we LOVE the weather! We just found out SIL is getting married in Feb 2011 in Florida, so now our dates are moved from this May to Feb! We really llike the warm weather and from what I've read the temps average 70 in Feb, the kids like to go swimming at the hotel and we always make one day for a waterpark! Will any of that change?? I know when it's 70 here in Michigan you really don't feel like swimming and wearing shorts. What is it really like and do the shortened hours affect your vacation?

Take it from someone who has gone many times in Feb. It is rather cold to swim even though they say the pools are heated it's cold. Especially that walk back to your room.
We have had many trips where the weather was in the 30's over night so make sure to pack warm clothes too. I always pack my spring jacket and put my gloves in the pockets. It can get rather cold if you are viewing fireworks.
I pack a sweatshirt with a hood and was happy that I did as the wind makes it feel colder.

Also keep in mind if your trip is around Presidents Day, that is the same time that the New England states have winter break and it will be crowded. It is all the same week as the Daytona 500 race and there are a lot of race fans that stay at Disney. Also twill mania competitions are also held at Disney during the week of Presidents day.

On the bright side you will have more time to save money for your trip.

I was definitely wondering around the same thing!
I'm planning a trip down in Feb 2011, and it seemed like it would be pretty warm, like, a cool summer day, to a warm summer day, but nothing too hot (15C to 23C).
Then again, that's a summer for someone from Canada, where we go down to -30C.

I would love to spend time by/in the pool, will it be too cold for that?

I know this February it was unseasonably cold. Many people on the boards were reporting that they had to wear gloves and/or coats to the park especially in the mornings and evenings.

Is there any way you can separate your Disney trip from your SIL's wedding trip?
