Disappointed and Confused

So I sent in my application for Fall 2016 today, and about an hour after I submitted, I got an email saying I was NLIC. I'm genuinely confused by this, since my credentials were basically the same as when I applied for Spring 2016, and I was able to make it to the WBI stage then.

It's so disappointing to me because I feel like I am well-qualified for this program, and since I am graduating in May, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to apply again.

I guess if anyone has advice on how I can let this dream go, I'd appreciate it.

Actually, you can apply again. You can apply for the Spring '17 program in the summer. My dd is graduating in May as well. If she doesn't get in for the Fall '16 program, she will apply in the summer. I emailed DisneyRecruiting directly to be sure she could to that. You can apply if you have graduated within the last 6 months.
Who knows what the computer looks for when applications come in. I'm pretty sure it's just a computer that looks at the applications....I doubt a human being could go through all that stuff. Hang in there....you get another shot this summer!!! Now, get back to your final college semester and enjoy your final days in college...they won't come again!!! And yes, this is what I tell my dd!!!

You can actually apply even for the program immediately after you graduate, so you have at least another time to apply. The computer does an immediate sort and sounds like you were weeded out for some reason, and it is difficult to say why. You might try calling in and explaining that you have made it through before and perhaps missed something in the app this time, they on rare occasions can flip the switch and allow a second app. Otherwise be ready for the august application period. I had a friend who discovered the program late and missed getting in during that 6 month post graduation period. He had signed up for a resume and interviewing class at the local community college after graduation, though and using that school was able to apply again the following term.

I'm sorry that you are NLIC. But keep your chin up (easier said than done I know)!! There are various reasons why you could have been weeded out; however, there is no way to say for sure. As PP said, you can still apply for Spring 2017 since you will have graduated within the last 6 months at the time you're applying. Applications will open mid-late August for Spring. Good luck!

Did you pass or fail the WBI? When did you take it? The WBI stays valid for 6 months, so if you failed less than 6 months ago, it will automatically put you in NLIC.

Yes- that's what I think too. If you applied before the six months are up, you will be immediately denied. For instance, if you applied last August, you may not apply again until late February. Now, if you choose to apply for Fall you should be fine as soon as apps drop in August.
