Disappearing Threads?

A few threads that I was following/part of seem to have vanished? I can not find them in my subscribed list and they do not show up when I search the title or look through posts from other users who were also part of the thread. Do threads ever actually get deleted?

Why yes they do. If the mods decide a thread doesn't belong they can delete it. Easy way to see if it's deleted; check your post count. If it went down the thread was deleted. There was a post yesterday that both of us took part in that I wasn't surprised got deleted.
