What is it with guys who can't just pick a simple day and time for a date? Or who can't send a simple, short e-mail once & a while? :confused3 (Sorry, personal rant... nothing to do with A. )

I know...I totally understand though. In a matter of 10 minutes, he listed 3 different times for us to go out. The good news is he seems like he definitely wants to, but who knows if we would actually have time to seriously date. I'm willing to make time, but a date once a month with the guy isn't gonna cut it for me. Then he said that he will probably be working on some stuff all the way through to next week because his supervisor is out of town (but duh...if she is out of town, he won't really be able to work on it. He won't have her feedback to make revisions :confused3 )

I've decided that I'm going to just be assertive and tell him when we're going out and what we're doing (in a cute flirty way of course). I know once we start hanging out, he will totally forget about school ;)

Hey...has anyone heard from Eventer/Tara? She usually posts at least once a day...

Wasn't she supposed to go to the Dr. sometime this week?

Just worried and wondering :flower3:

She goes tomorrow I believe. I think she is just busy with other stuff right now.

Sorry....I'm here. Lurking. Haven't had much to add. Stressed about my Dr's appt tomorrow. Scared actually. Luckily it's early.

Have also been running around dealing with a**hole car salesmen to try and replace DH's car. Found out he is paying $175 more a month then a thought..no wonder he didn't want me to do the bills when we got married!! :headache: We think we found something, a used 07 Uplander. He is upset to get rid of his Xterra but we will be saving $100 a month and gaining a more practical car.

I also found out my best friend may bail on the plans we made to go to WDW next Aug. Grr. I had a feeling she would do this. DH and I are just disappointed. We can still go of course but he was looking fwd. to golfing with my friend's husband.

So that's that. I will check in after my appt. tomorrow..probably around 11am. Keep your fingers crossed that all is well please! :wizard:

Evening all!

Dance, Melinda, Kat,Dene, Lynda, Punkin , Aries and Pigget A huge thank you!

I like the idea of 2x a week to start with so that way its not too overwhelming! Punkin please make that piece of cake a chocolate one!

Thank you for understanding who much this weight issue is messing with me. If I shared how badly this was affecting me some folks would look and say, so lose some weight! UHH DUH!

Tonight went well, I had a big dinner with a huge salad and wrapped the rest of tomorow. I went food shopping and boys those new oreo thingys were screaming at me across the store! So I picked up some special k for my late night urges if needed, and alot of fresh fruits and veggies.

Dh walked the front lawn with me tongiht oh well.

Tonight if I get up and wnat a snack I think I will pop down here and get on here and type instead!

I wnated to thank you all and know that what you say really does affect me in a postive way!

Dene you know I thought of your success with YMCa when I made that decision. Sadly though there is no hunky trainers no pool either. SOme old lady will come and meet me Friday night and go over the wquipment due to some injuries I really need to be mindful of what impact my body will take. You know how concerned I am especailly while holding those oreos in my hand!

I left them in the store!

SO the food addict that I am I have to dash as I am misssing Top chef and Monday nights is Hells Kitchen can you tell I may have my mind on food??

Emerial made some nice salads tongith though so its all good!

Didnt mean to answer for you....but I wasnt sure if you were reading or not tonight.

My DH sold my mom a used Uplander and it has been a good car for her. I cant believe he was paying that much more per month! That is a big differene!

I will be thinking of you tomorrow. I am sure it will all be perfect :flower3:

I left them in the store!

I am so proud of you! That is a HUGE step. I know the late night urges can be hard to resist, but if the junk isnt there calling to you it is alot easier. I think going online is a much better way to spend your time.

Just saw this and it is so aweful. Sending prayers as well.

Tara--I am sure that all will go well tomorrow--Please let us know how it goes.

Tara - I didn't mean to get all nosy. I just noticed that I hadn't read any posts from you at all recently. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and sending good thoughts your way for your Dr. appt. :goodvibes Let us know how it all goes!

Wow, that MN thing... what a tragedy. Read some other news article about a woman leaving her 1 and 4 year old in a hot car all day, then bathing and dressing their bodies, wrapping them in garbage bags, and stuffing them under the sink. I really think some days that the world is going to he**.

Fidge, anytime. Weight struggles aren't easy, regardless of what people think. It is a struggle every day to resist all the temptations the world throws at us. Great job with resisting the oreos and joining the Y!

Eventer, good luck on the dr appt.

aries, congrats!

shannon, good luck on getting the boy to behave.

I am being bad tonight... 3 lite beers and a glass of wine, and I skipped hockey. Did I mention my vice isn't cookies or cake, but alcohol? I am still at 1300 cals and I did 30 min on the elliptical trainer and 100 crunches on the ball at lunch, so it is only a mini-splurge. And... the hot tub is fixed!! :yay:

Yes, it is true. Dene' has yet another date... Dene' didn't have this many dates back in the day. Of course, this is yet another "first date"... who knows... maybe this one will lead to a 2nd date! :lmao:

Quick recap:
Guy 1 - Meet on match.com (I contacted him first). Award winning radio journalist... exchanged some soul-baring emails... thought a "naked picnic" was an appropriate first date... uhhhh, NO! Apparently, his soul was not the only thing he wanted bare.:rolleyes1
Guy 2 - Meet on match.com (he contacted me first). Truck driver... talked on the phone something like 6.5 hours before we meet... likes to go to swap meets, car shows, and antiquing... I don't. Nice guy and all, but not my type... also, a bit aggressive with the kiss goodbye... and NOT a good kisser.:scared:
Guy 3 - Meet on eharmony (we were matched on 29 levels of compatability:laughing: ). Real estate salesman/broker/whatever... man of very few words (very short answers, then asks one or two questions)... or he just isn't into email as his favorite means of communication... either REALLY busy or something because it takes him FOREVER to respond to email... it may be a good thing because I haven't had the chance to say anything I'll regret later (as I did with Guy 1 & Guy 2).

Positive points in Guy 3's favor... he lives an hour or so away from me... I assumed we'd meet for lunch half-way between in Fort Worth somewhere (I left the when and where up to him... he seems to be busier than I am right now). Tonight, I get a message from him... we're going to meet HERE, where I live, in a place on The Square called Stringfellow's... I've never been to Stringfellow's. I don't know if he has or not, but he bothered to find a place to eat here so I wouldn't have to drive to Fort Worth. If it doesn't go well, I can be home in less than 5 minutes... if it does go well, we can wander around the little shops on the square (not my favorite thing to do, but I haven't in years... plus, it is nice neutral territory). :cool2:

in case anyone's at home, that fan's guide to disneyworld show comes on in 30 minutes on the travel channel. it's so cheesy, but i love it.
I've been DVRing all the Disney stuff this week, then watching it when I get home from work. I just watched the behind the scenes one, and still have the fan's guide to go. I think the DL one is on tomorrow, which works for me, because I'm flying back down on Friday (conference first, then DL w/DH on Mon, Tues, and then Wed morning before flying home).

okay peeps i am totally by passing weigh in on friday last night was my 14th wedding anniversary and we were lucky enough to stay at a bed and breakfast(let's just say they treat you right) i had 4 of the most decedent mint brownies about a thousand calories each:rotfl: and utah mint truffles(Why do they put these things in your room:confused3) (okay wendy lou i know what you are talking about) and for breakfast lets just say i have never had a breakfast like this, cinnamon french toast , homemade sausage alot of fruit(of which i could not eat ).okay i will stop there stop drooling!!! it was a theme room it was the kings lodge with a pool table and a 45 inch plasma tv of which we watched movies on all night(Hot Fuzz and the 300.. (oh with surround sound it was awesome )well anyways back to reality i have my two nieces here too watch a 4 yr old and 2 month old who needs to be fed plus gotta do the whole fabric store switch a roo with wendy :hippie: :santa: :wizard: pirate: :bride: :cool2: princess: :cheer2: (these are our disguises) take care all .
Happy anniversary. Your disguises had me :lmao:

I've decided that I'm going to just be assertive and tell him when we're going out and what we're doing (in a cute flirty way of course). I know once we start hanging out, he will totally forget about school ;)
That worked for me. I asked DH when he was going to ask me out, then found a place he could take me for free. Once I got the ball rolling, he was very considerate and romantic. He was just a little shy and awkward at first. Good luck with A.

I feel terrible about the MN tragedy. I really have a fear of bridges since the Loma Prieta earthquake in '89. DD and I were looking at the video and talking about how awful it must be to be in one of the cars left hanging. Prayers for all involved and their families.

Also, Kat, are you eating 1300 and then burning a bunch on the exercise. I'm averaging about 1250 if you subtract the workouts from what I'm eating, and I've been going nowhere for the last couple weeks. I don't know if I need to eat more, less, or just different. I guess at this point I'll just figure it out after the trip.

I'm getting in the hot tub by myself now, since DH is already in L.A. See y'all tomorrow.

Balance $0.00......

thats right final payment was made to Disney and its OFFICIAL!!

Lucky! I still owe a little! EEEEK!

Aries!!! Thank YOU!!!!! I totally LOVE the thing ;) you sent! You are the best and I really appreciate all the extra you do all the time! I cannot wait to see you again :yay: :yay: :yay:

So. I haven't gotten a recipe scrapbook in months! What's UP????
My pages are ready to insert and send!

....Way to go! I'm about to plunge myself into Disney debt again! :sad2:

CHICAGO
....:welcome: Where have you been? We've been waiting! :confused3

EVERYBODY ELSE.....:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

DENE....Isn't Stringfellows that new nudist restaurant? Just kidding! Hope this guy's a winner!

:rolleyes1 I am NEVER gonna live that down. Every once in a while, Jay will send me a text message asking where he can find a good nude beach, etc. And right after my date with Guy 2, Jay sent a message asking if anybody was naked yet. And my friend Beth just got back from Michigan, where she bought me a t-shirt she saw in a bar... that said "Somebody's got to get naked"
