Jodistar Thanks for your kind words!! You are a marathoner??!!!

It sounds like you have been on quite a journey yourself! Just thinking about it - I want to reach out and give you a big

On the event/comp forum someone started a walking thread - lots that post on the weekly thread are definate walkers - and are also planning on the Disney Marathon in '09 (GOOFY!! You are WOMAN!!) I wont be there in '09 - I'll be stressing about my son's wedding!!
Its hard to get healthy mentally and physically - its important, dont let all the pregnant Peeps worry you - you can still drink the water!!

I think there are a few around that are also contemplating motherhood when they reach the right point... I noticed in your signature line you suffered a loss -

I had 3 miscarriages and 1 ectopic... its such a journey.
Hehe... I can see where that would be vague! I mean, I am worried that my body will get too used to it and it not be effective. FWIW, I am stressing weight loss right now over all else, even if it takes some muscle with it. I am definitely doing the strength training to replace muscle, but I am keeping it light until I get about 20 lbs smaller and then I will intensify. Thanks!!
Oops, also wanted to add... I enjoy it, well, as much as indoor machine workouts can be enjoyed. So it isn't that it is boring for me or anything, just that I want to be doing the most effective thing.
Kat I think there is a lot of conflicting information out there - I have read that if you hit a platau then you may need to "mix" up your workouts - but I really think there is more going on then someone hitting a platau and blaming it on the Treadmill!! You ARE mixing it up! You are working out, comitting yourself, and you also do hockey (my son had severe knee problems, wanted to play football and the doc told him he was nuts - stick with hockey he said!!

) Maybe if you need to mix it up, you should just lace up the skates and skate in circles for 20 min!! I think you are doing an AMAZING job, and I appreciate your willingness to share!!

On the job front!!
Dance... what an adorable little duck... er, I mean BABY... yeah, that's it... BABY

What a beautiful thing Jen - thanks for sharing!! When I was pg with my last baby, I picked up a book on old wives tales to determine sex - I think I was hinting at I wanted a girl, so I always skewed the answers in favor of a girl!!
It was an internal one....I was expecting that because of being only 8 weeks or so, but it is pretty interesting to say the least. Sort of looks like what got you there in the first place if you know what I mean

And, I bet you will get one. You will be close to 8 weeks, right? They usually do one around then to look for and hear the heartbeat from what I was told.
Those look great. And the Diva is pretty cute too
Of all the cardio machines I felt like I was getting the most accomplished on the elliptical. I never got 'tired' on a bike really to where I thought I was getting much conditioning, treadmill had to be going pretty fast or steep to get the same number of calories burned. (I have fairly strong legs from dance, so I really needed the challenge I think) Anwyays, the trainer I had said your body would get sort of used to it, but if you change it up with level/speed I bet it will still get the job done. I will be interested to see what Wonder Woman has to say!
And thanks for all the reminders here about drinking water lately. I had really been slacking...bad peep! My Dr ok-ed my 'diet' plan of sorts today too. Said as long as I was eating the right mx of foods, adding 300-500 calories is more than enough for the baby. He said gaining 15-20 pounds for a person of my size was A-ok too, so that is my goal. So... I am back to sharing my food tomorrow! I know you are all overjoyed
Shannon Those cookies are AMAZING!! I watched Martha Stewart pipe an outline of icing on the edges of the cookies, let it 'harden' a bit, then fill the inside with the icing - but I've never been able to get the right consistency - on the icing OR the cookie!!

NICE!
kat - i copied your questions into an e-mail to her and i'll let you know what she says! i'm in court all day tomorrow so i'm sure she'll see the e-mail before i talk to her tomorrow night.
OMGosh!!!
They use those for certain non-PG tests too. I laughed so hard when the U/S technician put the "raincoat" on the wand (not advised with a full bladder). She was very professional about it too. I just had to ask her how she maintained such a straight face.
I had one -

I know I wanted to know why the "shape" of the monitor resembled something youd buy in a "naughty" store and add batteries to it!!
I was going to say lots more (of course!) but I just saw the time, dh must've overslept, dd needs to be up to get to camp!!
WOOHOOTY on the weight loss!!

All of those that are posting about picking up weights, bags of dog food, take a moment and congratulate yourselves on the journey!! and then take the big ole
WOOHOOTY
Adding yet another
WTG to all the dedicated teachers, and VBS volunteers...
DD is still on her high from Miracle camp - last night she said we had to go on a "walk with God" because her counselor told them it was easy to walk with God at camp, but harder when they got home, and harder still when school started!! I feel so blessed... the talks we are sharing... it helps when we want to strangle each other!! (she lost her music, and of course it was my fault!!)
gotta run!
