thank you!!!

DH and I were talking last night after we put little man down and it was not good---

vent away! i don't have any advise for you......just hugs... i know that has to be very stressful.

GOOD MORNING,EVERYONE! :sunny:

Another gorgeous day here in central KY! Current tempurature: 60!!! High today: 83 and cloudless with low humidity! If anybody needs me I'll be at the pool.

i'm jealous. it's cloudy and rainy here. have fun in the sunshine!

okay, peeps.....big news! this morning i got up and weighed myself and i was completely surprised to see 134 pounds!!! that's 2 pounds down from friday. why can't i have pretty numbers like that on fridays??? anyway, that's 4 pounds from my goal and 1 pound from new bling! i don't get it.....all i did friday was work, then come home and mow the yard. then yesterday i typed all day, laid out in the sun for awhile and then cleaned out my closet. i guess the mowing and the closet cleaning did something! plus i ate decently both days. ray made me grilled garlic shrimp last night for dinner....:cloud9: yum!!!

hope everyone has a good sunday! i may go jogging today (if it doesn't rain) to offset the hamburgers and other fattening things i'm bound to have tonight at ray's mom's dinner. later, taters!!! :goodvibes

I'm alive! I feel like I walked the entire original Oregon trail, but I walked every stinking sandy, rocky, uphill, downhill, sideways and crooked mile! :yay: We only did @ 15 miles total over a day and a half but when you're in a dress to your ankles and it's hot and windy and you're walking thru ankle deep sand, there's alot of praying that happens! I stepped on the scale when I got home yesterday and it says I lost 10 pounds! I'm sure 8 of that is pride and will be back as soon as I can walk again without asistance. I really had an amazing time as did my son and all the youth with us. It's amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it. I'll post some pics later of it. Anyhoo, just thought I'd check in incase anyone was worried about me getting left dead along the trail. ;) There's waay to many pages for me to catch up so if there's anything I need to know, let me know, k! I'm going to go back to bed for an hour and then drag my butt to church.

Ryan is back in the hospital. He has been having low grade fevers and last night they admitted him again after being gone for 1 night. As of about an hour ago I got another update at church--his lung has collapsed and he has fluid around the lung, but not in the lung. They will drain it as soon as possible. We were told that this in not uncommon, but we still do not like it. Ryan says that he is not in any pain and is taking deep breaths. He is a trooper. Hopefully this will all be cleared up. As his grandmother and my dear friend says--Greater the Victory greater the Testimony.

10 pounds????? WOW!!!!!! that's so awesome. welcome back to reality!

what a little fighter! he will remain in my prayers!

i just finished up the child molestation trial i've been working on since february......:woohoo: not that i'm happy with typing a child molestation trial...just happy that it's over! this was one i was typing for my boss for extra money and it ended up being over 950 pages! in case you're curious (because i've mentioned it a few times) the dad got 70 years to serve 40 and the mom got 30 years to serve 10. HORRIBLE situation....glad i'm finished hearing about it! :sad2:

I'm still behind on this thread but trying to catch up from my trip. I skipped weigh-in this week, but I can tell you it's up. I did have a giant corn dog and the most decadent candy apple, but I'm back on the wagon, and exercising my tushy off (literally, I hope). I saw that ThinkTink is wearing a pedometer on her trip. I did too, and averaged 10 miles a day. I went to SparkPeople, and figured that's about 900 calories a day for my weight. I hope everyone is well. I got far enough to read about Shannon's dinner and a movie date. :thumbsup2
I'm not doing a trippie, but there were a couple of things I wanted to share with y'all.
Before our trip to DL, I read about the feral cats there that are descended from the cats Walt Disney brought in to get rid of the mice in the castle (ironic, isn't it?::MickeyMo ) When we were getting ready to get a picture by the castle, look who we found in the bushes :
100_0343.jpg

There were three others, too. They were all tiny and adorable.

The backside of TOT
100_0326.jpg
was visible from our hotel window.

The castle was beautifully lit for the fireworks show.
100_0330.jpg
DH and I had the perfect spot, right in front of the castle where we could see :tinker: really well.

Tom Sawyer Island was all pirated out:
100_0308.jpg
and I acted like a kid there:
100_0309.jpg

I had a great view of POTC and New Orleans Square (my favorite area of the park) from the treehouse on the island:
100_0310.jpg

We did a character brunch, which we haven't done in about 10 years :
100_0316.jpg

I splurged because we had our Disney rewards card from our Disney Visa card. We had a great time all around, and DH and I still get to go back on 8/5.

Hope y'all like the pictures. Notice the beautiful weather. High of 85 degrees and low humidity.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I've had a positive influence on the people at school because of the way I have been eating... just the other day, when I was at school to help interview a new teacher, the principal saw me and wrote herself a note to make sure we had healthy snacks and foods available at the retreat we have August 20th. :cool2:

I'm glad I'm back and that you're talking to me... I felt like such a desserter... I was all caught up in a bunch of stuff and couldn't find a way to juggle everything.

And I don't know if anyone has noticed, but I haven't really talked about Jay, the Hunky Trainer Dude, so much lately. He's still my friend, talk to him all the time... just not crushing on him anymore. Am soooo over that. I love him to death... but more like a little brother now.

Some of my favoritie things about being a "loser"...
1) not having to worry about fitting into chairs with arms or booths at restaurants
2) having lots of room in the movie theater seat
3) having lots of room in student desks
4) knowing that the next time I fly somewhere, I won't have to take my seatbelt extenders (I own two different models for different airlines)
5) having sooooo much more energy

Idea for the new Peeps... I said this a while back, but there are so many new Peeps I thought I'd repeat it. Go to the gym, find the dumbell/barbell closest to the amount of weight you have lost. Pick it up and imagine carrying that thing around 24/7. :scared1:

We're all dorks here! I  your luggage! I have the brown carryon luggage with the Mickey heads... looks like a Coach bag from afar.

I am super glad you are back too. And we understand... life can get so complicated sometimes.

My DH manages a luggage store, so we have Her Royal Highness' Matched Luggage (TM). Nothing so cool as Mickey luggage!

Glad you are through with it.

Man, sitting around in a room pretending to be interested is tiring... hope everyone had a great and skinny weekend!

It took a day but I finished HP tonight!! Very sad to reach the end and know there isn't anymore. I was right on one of the people I predicted to die but not the others. VERY GOOD!!! You all need to read it!! :thumbsup2

How exciting...I got mine yesterday but haven't started it yet. I'm trying to savor it.

And please I beg of you and all the other Harry Potter fans on the board....please please please do not give anything that might even be semi construed as a spoiler (not that you did...just saying for the future). ;) I'm so nervous that I will accidentally read something online or someone will say something around me...especially since its the last book and everyone is so curious about the ending.

Thanks! :goodvibes

okay....i know some of you guys are gonna tear me a new one for this, but i'm not a harry potter follower so gimme a break. we were over at ray's mom's house tonight for my birthday dinner and i saw that ray's nephew had the new harry potter book. well, i was really bored because ray and his nephew were playing the wii and so i started reading the epilogue. I KNOW....I KNOW......i'm spoiling all the fun. but i was just curious what it said. i hope all the HP fans don't cast a spell on me now!!! :rotfl2:

to the BB fans......WHAT IS WITH AMBER'S CRYING???? it's getting on my nerves. it's a little ridiculous. and i hate jen....i mean really despise the girl. but i do have to make the comment that she has an amazing body. i like the fact that she's not skinny...she's built and that's what i want to look like. a girl can dream..... anyway, if only she had more going on upstairs. i was hoping for another janelle this year, but i don't see it happening.

I was in Kroger yesterday, but didn't have my "Kroger Card" with me so it would have cost $35 instead of $20... My friend works there and was going to get me one today, but they were out. I'm sure I get it some time this week. Almost don't want to read it because it is the last... And I wish they could put everything from the books into the movies; but, could you imagine how LONG they would be? :scared1:

Punkin... Glad that is over for you. I don't want to try to imagine...

dwheatl... Thanks for posting those pix... reminds me of our trip to DL for the big 50th celebration. We were in the Grand Californian with the Downtown Disney view... could see (and kind of hear) the nightly fireworks over the castle from our balcony.

Okay... I read that as "that's what I want to look AT"...:rolleyes1

BTW... every time I glance at the pic in your siggie, I think Goofy is flipping me off :lmao:

Re: HP...I can totally understand not being interested. I'm surprised that I became a fan myself. I bought the 1st book in college to read on the plane home because I kept hearing about this great new series. And I loved it! Instantly hooked. But its taking all I have not to read the epilogue  As long as you don't tell us HP fans what it says, I know I won't cast a spell on you. (But wouldn't that be great if you could cast spells...:rolleyes1 )

Re: BB...Amber is annoying. She always looks like she just finished bawling. I mean I am an emotional person as well and I'm sure she misses her family but give me a break. Quit it with the waterworks. And I agree that Jen is quite the character...super annoying. What did you think of the nominations? I wasn't surprised but there is definitely one nominee I want gone more than the other.

BTW... every time I glance at the pic in your siggie, I think Goofy is flipping me off :lmao:

OMG it does look like Goofy is flipping someone off! :rotfl2:

Love the pictures Danielle!

Punkin - I'm having a brain freeze

HP - LOL about the movie - I was thinking book 7 needs to be a two part movie they have to fit it all in!! I'm on a few message boards, and I succombed to a spoiler - so no nothing here - I will say dd has asked dh to read it... so to make it last and she'll have someone to talk to about it with!! DS decided to refresh his memory so he's rereading book 6... Me, I read it... (yep I read the last chapter first!) and I laughed, and dh, dd, and ds yelled at me to leave the room... I cried, and they screamed at me!! :rotfl2: Hard to believe its been ten years!

BB - I cant understand why the Dick Danielle poignant moment was shown, but not Dick blabbing everything she asked him NOT to tell anyone! Disgusting! Editing!

Major whine fest - blog - etc -
I dont know how y'all do it. I was scheduled to do a long run, 5 miles... next Saturday is my first ever race (just a 5k) well because I had to read HP :sad2: Then I had to take a nap, then big brother came on...:sad2: so sad, too bad, I ran anyway... I am SO NOT A RUNNER... I am a whiner, and a quitter... its what I do best. I feel sorry for me. I made it. I had a great determination. I didnt have to walk at all. Dh did his long run - 12 miles... or was it 9... but I am so fat. the pounding of the fat on my knees and ankles is tremendous. It took me at least 80 minutes, which is pretty much more than 16 min miles, which means, I'm going to be swept in the Disney half marathon.. You know how stupid my mom's scale was? well my home scale showed me gaining 3# so that's not even close to getting rid of this extra weight. and I havent done crunches... I must be at a 2 week mark... I always quit after two weeks... WHERE IS THE MAGIC PILLS> Its not easy, but today is over. I made it today. Tomorrow, I just have to do 3 miles... or cross train. BUT I have to do crunches.

I will say the one and only reason I went out there at 8pm tonight is because of the wish running thread. There are people there with serious medical problems... and they overcome. They run. They make a goal and they do it. I posted my goal of a 5 mile run and then they posted good luck, and cheered me on... how could I let them down?

So if you have the courage to help me through tomorrow. I'd appreciate it. I dont want to exercise alone... so just knowing there will be others doing 100 crunches, or strength training... I think it may help me.... (and I feel pretty stupid, I'm the dork over hear just crying... I'm sure its all JK Rowlings fault!! )

Night peeps!

Okay... I read that as "that's what I want to look AT"...:rolleyes1

:rotfl2: wow...you're really delusional tonight, huh?

it's not that i'm not a fan. i love the movies! i just literally have not got around to reading the books yet. i know i'd enjoy them.....just haven't done it. don't ask me why because i don't know. i take that back. i did start to read one on the way to savannah once. my friend erin had it in the car and i was bored so i started reading it. it was the one with the dementors and harry's in an alley way with his cousin or something like that at the beginning of the book. i only got through about 1/4 of it before i started to get car sick from reading while riding!

i want jen out! but i have a feeling it will be kail if those two stay on the block. i don't particularly like kail, but i can deal with her for awhile. i just don't know how long i can stand jen. did you hear what she said tonight about slop? "since i haven't been on slop yet, i don't really feel sorry for the people that are on slop." what kind of logic is that? it's like saying, "i haven't had cancer yet, so i don't really feel sorry for that little kid dying of leukemia." WHAT???? she just bothers me. and when people are talking to her she just stares at them with her mouth open. the girl is a moron.

Night peeps!

 but the important thing is YOU'RE DOING IT!!!!!!!! you're getting off your bum and you're going out there and you're trying. what else can you do? just keep doing what you're doing and it will come easier and the weight will eventually fall off. like has been said so many times on this thread....slow and steady wins the race!

i'll be right there with you working out tomorrow. my best friend/trainer/wonderwoman got back from vacation yesterday, so i'm back on schedule this week at the gym. i'm sure i'll be in pain by wednesday from not having done any weights last week.....:scared: but it'll be worth it!

WE are praying for Ryan and a x special one for you it is not hard going thorugh such things not pregnant!

PLease know you have a bunch of crazy blessed peeps hanging in your corner! Who wouldn't want a bunch of pixie dust crazed big hearted peeps knocking at God's door, you know some of us here can be a bit pushy and have had great success in getting our prayers answered.

I think God just knows oh those peeps are praying , they wouldn't let up so I better get on that one! They dpn't know the word NO!:thumbsup2  :grouphug:

Oh ya. Jen needs to go and take her soulless, expressionless, hair-flipping, lying ways with her.

The one with the BIMBO voice would get my vote just to not have to listen to her.

Dick is somewhat cool now that we get to know him. But I dislike his immature side.

Kail is really a nice lady I think but she's sheltered. Her comment on the gay housemate was weird about her "not minding gay guys until they put on all their makeup..." or something like that. Made her sound narrow minded...but she likes his heart. :confused3

I LOVE America's Player! What a fun position he has. I wonder if the other players will freak when they find out he's been playing them (nicely)?

You people are distracting me from my new Harry Plotter book. I read the very last chapter first! Harry DIES ;) I can't help myself! I always do that! Is that the ultimate in impatience? :sad2:
