Have you guys been watching the news about VA Tech.
YES! I know two kids who are at VA Tech! I called already and one is fine. The other little girl coached our swim team last year. So scary! Start praying for those families now!

Another wonderful evening spent with Peep Lynda!! Thanks Lynda for coming to the play with me!! DS had like 7 SOLOs!! (he only messed up one - I was so proud of all he played - usually I cannot hear the bassoon - but he had a microphone, and he sounded good!!)

the play was good too - but I was all about listening to the bassoon!! and I didnt sneeze once - only had one runny nose, and I made it wait until a scene change!! :rotfl2:

and anytime, anyone of y'all head to Woodfield Mall, you better tell me - I'm 20 minutes from there!! just sayin!!

It was my pleasure Sandy! The play was really good! I enjoyed it! :) In fact, DH and I watched the movie last night while folding laundry. He had never seen it.

We definitely need to plan a peep meet when those AKL Villa models open! :yay:

800 pages? :scared1: Holy Snikey!

Only 23 more weeks to get skinny! :teacher:

THIS keeps me out of the snack mode, I tell you what!

1-1.43 pounds MUST be lost by me per week to achieve this! I can NOT "same" or gain at all!

So..

I MUST break down and FINALLY exercise regularly or I'll be fighting and up hill battle.

I watch that "Biggest Loser" show where they lose 10+ pounds every week but they diet AND exercise. I dont think I'll want to do it to their extent (sit ups till they vomit!) but they make it REAL that you can indeed lose 1-1.43 pounds per week, IF YOU TRY! You as in ME.

If you dont exercise, Your skin will literally hang. I KNOW this for a personal fact.

Water....MUST!

Vitamins/Calcium....MUST!

Skinny Minnie Peeps....MUST, must!

Get goin’ Wendy! Did you do those sit ups today? ;) I have to do something when I get home, and I don’t feel good at the moment, but I WILL do it!

Oh, I forgot to mention, when Lynda first came to Perkins (and yes, I was bad, she was good - she got the salmon and broccoli, steamed, and that fish did look good, I looked guilty! How could I invite a Peep to dinner, and then eat a French Dip sammy? :confused3 that just told me Lynda is one tough, strong lady - and I'm honored to be in the same room with her!!

So I had showed ds the pic in her siggy - "Do you think that may be Lynda?" "I dont know, she looks young"! (and he did LOL because there was another really old lady with a yellow sweater identical to the one I was wearing - :rotfl: ) And I agree Lynda you look mahvelous!!

Thanks Sandy! And that is too funny about the old lady with the yellow sweater! :rotfl:

Lynda, I am sorry. I think you are beautiful, dont get me wrong. I just thought your siggie picture made you look a little older than you are.

I hope what I wrote, wasnt taken wrong.. I LOVE YOU!!!!

Ok back to business..

I might be going to Disney!!

I need to lose weight. I am starting slim fast for 2 meals aday starting tomorrow.

Love ya!
B

No offense taken, Bee! I really do think it is the hair. Part of the reason I grew it out is because I think I look younger with it longer. Now, weight-wise, I think I was about the same then as I am now that I have lost 35 lbs. That picture was taken in May ’05. I DO plan to replace that picture when we return from WDW in May! I am hoping to get a really good one of DH and I to use. (Of course, if Stitch was in it, that wouldn’t hurt either. ;)) Of course, that picture is also resized so much that it lost a lot of quality, and DH pointed out that it was taken at the end of a very long day! (That was EMH) So, I want to replace the picture. (I just don’t look like that anymore, and I want something updated!) So don’t feel bad! I agree with you! :goodvibes

I hope you get to come to WDW in September too! :)

Dont worry about it Bee - because bottom line, we all read your post ( and I'm sure I'm talking about all your posts!!) in the spirit it was intended - LOVE!! I just wanted you to know Bee, you are a welcome spirit here because of who YOU ARE!! YOU are a KIND, BEAUTIFUL, CARING soul!! I dont have to meet you to "get" that!! We all go thru rough times... horrible times... no one knows what anothers "cross" or burden there are... but its how we handle them - and I feel your determination, your love, your dreams - and it makes me proud to have you as my friend!!

and I did ask Lynda if she read what everyone was saying - she should be flattered - she is an AMAZING, AWESOME PEEP!!

I was and am flattered! I didn’t read it all until today, but thanks to everyone who commented on the pictures! :)

Sounds like a bunch of us (dare I say a ton of us?:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: ) are in the same :boat: ! We're either staying the same or (like me) gaining! Let's turn this around this week and get back on track to skinny minniedom! I'm thinking of putting pics of dene and Lynda on my Fridge for inspiration!:goodvibes

Thanks! Glad to hear I inspire others. On days like today, when I feel like carp & like I need a little inspiration of my own, it’s nice to hear! :goodvibes

 to all those needing them! I had a LOT of catching up to do and not a lot of time to respond! Everyone, please know I’m thinking about and praying for you!

I make it my policy to NEVER consult my husband on domestic purchases. That may sound sexist....sorry thread dudes. Lynda....I'm always afraid I'll run into old flames or friends at 7ish in the morning at the grocery store when I've been up all night with a sick kid!!! I'll bet you looked beautiful out shopping and all.

I wish he didn't care about these things sometimes to tell you the truth! I have never met a man who cared so much about decorating decisions! :rotfl2: But we got it worked out. We bought the whole shebang! Sheets, comforter, duvet cover, accent pillows, and a couple of new regular pillows! Of course, this was only after we went to almost every store in town that carried the stuff and went back to the first place we had stopped! :sad2:

And it was right after all this that I ran into that old friend! Considering how frazzled I felt, I did look decent. (I checked when I got in the dressing room! :rotfl2: ) I am really feeling like an :eeyore: for not introducing DH. I am really bad about forgetting introductions! I don't know why, but I hate it when I realize I've done it! Not to mention that I feel bad for not recognizing the guy! Which is really hard to believe considering I would have married him if he'd asked back in the day, and we weren't even dating! :lmao:

OK, I keep forgetting things!

Sandy asked about the pants too! I am down a size at Old Navy!!! ;)

Have you guys been watching the news about VA Tech.

Hey, I did not know yo didn't work on Mondays so when you get to work in the morning there will be a message to call me :goodvibes

This is horrible incident. I can only the imagaine the fear and pain the these people and their families have gone through.

I'm back... 12 loads of laundry, washed, dried, folded.. and still in the car!! :rotfl2:

Thanks UMA I guess its the teacher in me, I just dont like being bad, AND getting caught... and I have points!! :scared1: Pumba thinks my Tink "Do You Believe" picture was a lil too tall... or my countdown could've been too long - I took it off so fast - dont have to tell me twice let me tell you!!

Lynda WOOOHOOTY!! and our last comforter dh had a say - only it was me that dragged him to the Linens N Things, Bed Bath Beyond... and Kohls, and sears... and Penny's and we got the one at the first store! :rotfl2: I think he went to make sure I didnt get Princess Pink!!:rotfl:

there are no words to describe the horror of Virginia - on one hand I flash back to columbine - we had just visited that town for a Hockey tournament, and ds friend went to school there... and they were fine, but the terror that hit that town for weeks afterwards with prank 911 calls, and prank bomb threats to other schools in the area..

and now having a child, 2 children in college... I cant and wont be able to wrap my brain around it.

I know it is an unpopular opinion, but I have always admired rosie O'donnel for going out on that limb and demanding something be done. May her voice be heard... may our children be safe. There is no way to secure a college campus, or anywhere actually, if a bad guy wants to self destruct and take others with him - its a suicide... I just cant wrap my brain around it...

Is anybody on tonight? I need someone to tell me that getting my Masters is worth this tremendous headache!!! I have another assignment due tonight and I am at my "had enough" breaking point!!! I am tired of writing papers, I think that is why I haven't even been DISing much. By the time I work on the computer for hours everyday for work and school - I am sick of looking at the computer. If I weren't such a ridiculous perfectionist, maybe this wouldn't be so bad. I mean I tell myself, hey this assignment is only worth 5 points - don't sweat it, just get it done. But it has to be perfect, which means I probably spend hours more doing this than a normal person. A "B" is okay, a B is okay, a B is okay.

Yes it is worth it!! (I don't have mine yet but I plan to get it sometime withing the next 5 years). It is tough right now but you will be so glad that you did! You can do it!!:cheer2:

OK UMA - I'll take that challenge!!

:cheer2: UMA challenged me to 100 situps - How 'bout YOU!!:cheer2:

Go Sandy!!:cool1: Way to go on the situps!! I need to do some tonight. Don't worry about the siggy.

Have you guys been watching the news about VA Tech.

So horrible!!:sad1: I'm sending lots of prayers out today.

I wish he didn't care about these things sometimes to tell you the truth! I have never met a man who cared so much about decorating decisions! :rotfl2: But we got it worked out. I love sleeping on new sheets! What colors did you go with?

OK, I keep forgetting things!

Sandy asked about the pants too! I am down a size at Old Navy!!! ;)

Awesome!! You are doing fantastic!!:yay: :yay: (I love Old Navy! ).

Hi Peeps! I hope everyone had a good day!:goodvibes Today I walked a mile after work. I have been trying to get rid of a headache all day and I really didn't want to but I want a loss this week. Tonight I am going to do some situps and some work on my balance ball.

Last night my husband and I were trying to pick out our counter service restaurants. Does anyone have any favorites? Right now the only one we know for sure that we want to go to is Flame Tree BBQ. We really liked that the last time we went. So, other than AK does anyone have any suggestions?

Gorgeous! Congratulations!
Shh! No surprises! DH and I spent a LOT of time watching season 2 yesterday. We're going to eventually get caught up. I  Christopher, junkie or not, he's cute!

I'm sorry...I can't agree with you on Christopher. He makes my skin crawl...maybe you will feel that way too after a few more season! :rotfl:

You are stunning! ALl the girls look great. I love your bridesmaids dresses!
Thanks!! :goodvibes

Happy Monday Peeps. I have not had the TV on all day, but I see here that there is some news breaking so I am going to go check it out.

EEYORE-I got a warning last week too :sad2: I was so upset over it, silly really. One of my pics was too tall, so I changed it up a bit. I hope they are ok now. I dont want to get in trouble again. What stinks is that I rarely post anywhre here ut this board and the TR board. the one time I go to the codes/rates board for a question I get busted :headache:

And now I dont remember who- but congrats and dropping a pants size!!! :woohoo:

be back in a bit....off to watch some news.

At AK - keep in mind if it is really really hot out - go to Tuskar House - its air conditioned, Flame tree is not!!

At Epcot the surprise counter service is in Morroco of all places - I am a very very picky eater, but dh and I shared a meal there, and we were really impressed... (we often just go to American Pavillion for dd - and its a/c - air conditioning is very big with me!1) We tried the sushi place there is a counter service on the same side as the drum show, but I didnt care for it... dd like the china chinese food...its like you cant go wrong with ANYTHING in Epcot - in the Soarin Building is Seasons and it gets rave reviews (and it is a/c!!) but we're never on that side of epcot at lunch time!!

MGM - ABC Commissary is disgusting - but we always eat there :rotfl2: I know its not really disgusting... but I prefer Backlot Express - but its not always opened, and if you hit it right when the Indiana Jones lets out - its way crowded (or wicked crowded11) MGM has the fewest places our family likes!!

MK - in Tomorrowland - just know that that place has 3 sides - and 3 different menus, one has chicken and ribs, one has sandwiches, and one side has burgers... we eat there and then we eat over by tomorrowland - its a/c 11 (shift key is not working dagnabit!!)

I'm sorry...I can't agree with you on Christopher. He makes my skin crawl...maybe you will feel that way too after a few more season! :rotfl:

Ugh. Great, now the only semi-cute one goes down the tubes. Not like P*ssy is cute, and Tony certainly isn't. Still a great show though!:thumbsup2

Thank you for the suggestions.:) I look for places with AC too! MGM is the one we also have a tough time with. I was thinking that we might time it to where we will go back and eat at POR food court or head over to Epcot.

Just wanted to share my good news with the peeps...I got hired today by one of the people I was talking about this weekend :goodvibes She only wants part time for now, which is perfect for what I need, and wants to bring the kids to me, and will pay me what I want. It is a few more hours than what I had before so that is a bonus! More $$ for Disney. And once summer hits she wants me full time, and on into next year. The best part? She is NORMAL (at least so far) and her kids were so sweet. They played with DD for a bit and were having a blast. Even cleaned up the toys before they were leaving.

So, just like you all said...something better came along and I am better off. Still irritated at how I let that other lady treat me, but that is my issue I guess.

Eeyore....you're fine! It's no big whup.

I've seen some major big siggie lines. They're just getting people to comply.

You are not a menace in society.

OK, thus far today...

(sit down and be prepared to be WOW'd)

A Gallon of "water" (Cherry C.L.)....:thumbsup2

A HUGE lettuce salad with a sliced chicken breast with Light Done Right salad dressing.

I "forgot' (really) to eat breakfast...which I vow not to "make up for" later.

and vitamins.

and 100 sit ups....ow.

A peanut snack bar. Savored.

Geez, I quoted myself! Maybe I'll do it again after dinner! Just keeping myself accountable, one meal at a time!!!! This is a one meal at a time battle.

Yayyyy! What a huge blessing for you!
I hope her kids stay sweet for you and she stays normal!

Ugh. Great, now the only semi-cute one goes down the tubes. Not like P*ssy is cute, and Tony certainly isn't. Still a great show though!:thumbsup2

It's his nose and horrible hair that drives me nuts!! :rotfl: I don't think I like anyone on that show. Keep me posted on how you like season 2!! It's been years since I watched it but I think I remember what happens!!! ;)

Happy Monday Peeps. I have not had the TV on all day, but I see here that there is some news breaking so I am going to go check it out.

What news is this?? :confused3
