DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 2

everyone who is going to DW have a great time and have fun for all of us who will still be here. BTW who is not going i am gonna start a thread. the we refuse to go to the peep meet(due to various reasons)

Count me in on this thread!!! I'll still be here, running amok as much as possible!!!

anyway, i get both dogs checked for heartworms every year when they get their shots. eli's test last year, of course, was negative. that's why i was so baffled when the doctor said the test was positive because it had only been a year since his last test and i'd been giving him the heartgard. i'm just glad it was a mistake!

Punkin...I had a dog 20 years ago (geez...has it been THAT long??? ) when I lived in NJ that got heart worms. we weren't even sure she would make it. The vet had her for a week and actually put some type of arsenic in her veins to kill the heart worm. When we got her back, she was listless and couldn't get excited, but in the end she was fine. After that we gave her meds avery month. Before that we didn't know about them. I'm sooo glad Eli is OK.

Thank you for all your kind words, wishes and most of all ! Shadow is going to be fine. She had an impacted anal gland that abscessed (sp?). I won't go into details, but suffice it to say, that I am glad I AM NOT THE DR.!!!! The funny thing is is that I go to church with my vet! So now every time he sees me he will probably think about what he had to do for my puppy!

Glad to hear Shadow is OK. That must have been scarey for you not knowing what was wrong. I also go to church with my vet. It leads to interesting conversations at the office and usually the staff doesn't realize we know each other outside of there. They usually have LOTS of questions!!!

Safe travels to all the traveling peeps out there! Enjoy your vacations and each others company. Think about us poor saps back at home working.

P.S. -- Note the bling. I wouldn't let myself have any until this momentous ##. Of course it isn't "official" until tomorrow, but I couldn't wait!!

I cut it all Free hand but I had made templates and then traced them out on paper and cut. So pretty much freehand...

I am almost packed...finally. I am trying to sneak things into my room into suitcases without Amanda seeing since she still doesnt know we are going tomorrow morning. Not an easy task. And of course, I woke up today with a head cold an can take nothing for it but tylenol. Gonna be a fun flight!

Utahmama - Norah is gorgeous! I have a little girl who would look fantastic in that costume. Did you use a pattern? My husband sews really well (that's fortunate, because I can't manage buttons without a staple gun) and MIGHT be able to fit in a lovely Aurora look (except Aurora doesn't rhyme with Helena, my daughter's name!). Good work - looks professional!

Gina - I used to belong to Curves. Actually, I joined two different times (before baby and after baby). The first time was more successful than the second, as I had fewer distractions keeping me from going. I think you get out of it what you put in. That is, some people really pushed themselves, both on the machines and on the recovery stations. Also, it helps to DIET while doing the exercise! I didn't exactly do that part. I just ate whatever I wanted. I still lost weight, just not as much as I think I could have. My exercise buddy (who was almost twice my age) had lower cholesterol and blood pressure solely b/c of the exercise. It was a nice, encouraging, low-key atmosphere. I liked it and would probably join again but I wouldn't go often enough to justify the cost (b/c of my kids/husband/life right now).

Girls (and guys???), I'm not looking forward to being weighed in tomorrow. I can say two good things for today: I walked for 40 minutes (even with a gimp foot!) and did NOT drink any Pepsi. The rest of what went in my mouth wasn't perfect but it could have been worse.

I'll keep following your good examples and I'll get the hang of this! I'm somewhere around 135 days away from WDW (who's counting?) and I WILL be 30 pounds smaller.

Gina - I did curves - had to quit - the vertigo was exsaberated due to the fans and movin... aaack! room spins not good!

Uma - HOW AWESOME!! You ROCK woman!! I cannot find DD Aurora's necklace - it was perfect too!! eye roll - but I am so grateful she wanted me to pack it I cant tell you - please tell them to stop growing... the neighbor gave dd a classic black dress she outgrew - fancy silkish material... WOW it was a perfect (no cleavage, long pass knees) black dress - she looks too grown up tho!

Jen - I cant thank you enough for being so willing to share your dd with mine... we had a stressful afternoon, but when she came around and started imagining taking your dd on rides, like teacups... I just want to thank you!!

Packing advice
I added an extension cord (I added up all our chargers, noise machine, curling irons...)
quart zip lock bag - now I packed a hand towel and a wash cloth - I hear there is a lot of rain in the forecast all week - hey, its hurricane season people - but by packing that and your rain gear in plastic bags - when it stops raining you have a place to store the wet stuff!!

Uma, GREAT JOB on Norah's dress!

One more day of work for me before heading to the meet!!! Thanks for the last-minute packing tips, Sandy. I will be rushing around tomorrow night, so I am relaxing a bit tonight.

Since we are currently dogless and in puppy looking mode, my hubby noticed some cute brother/sister Corgi mix pups on petfinder.com, so I filled out an application and sent it in. They say it takes a few days to get to all the applications they receive, so I figured what the hay - we're reachable by cell phone. I did mention that we will be away on vacation, but are interested in potentially taking the pair together. Don't know if that will increase our chances or not . . . but I hope we at least get to have a look at them to see if they would be a good fit for us.

We're going to see if we can check in and print our boarding passes before the 24 hour window. If it doesn't work tonight, we'll be up early trying again.
