First day back at the gym. I stayed on the elliptical for 40 minutes by reading Carl Hiaasen while I was on there. The chocolate has been calling to me, and I've answered it a couple of times. I didn't know why until AF showed up this morning. I hadn't seen her since before Thanksgiving. I was getting a little concerned about the water around here, but I guess it's just that my 45th b-day is just around the corner.
I know I'm behind. I love many of the romantic movies listed, but my favorite (and DH's too) is The Scarlet Pimpernel with Merle Oberon and Leslie Howard. When she says "If only you were the kind of man a woman in trouble could depend on." and he says, "Are you in trouble my dear?" OMG. I'm blushing just thinking of it. Verrry romantic. I also love Bridget Jones' diary, especially when she runs after him in the snow and she's just wearing her undies and her coat.

I am off to spend a day with rowdy boys and my attitude is very poor lately...last night my youngest told me I was no fun at all, which hurt my feelings, cause I try to do everything they ever want. DH only added to it and egged him on, DH was just joking but sometimes alot of truth is said in jest...so now I feel awful, I sick and my feelings are hurt AND I get the added pleasure of running them all over town, but I 'll make sure they dont have any fun at all just wanna go back to bed and ust into tears, and this is SO not me I DO NOT CRY!!! Time to go put on my cabbie driver hat, so rry to vent this morning, thanks for listening, I'll be out til around 3 then I will be at home the rest of the day, cause I am no fun and I have no life

I'm sorry. I love when DD and I argue, and she runs to the computer and types madly. I want to say, "There's only one n in meanest mom ever!"

Music and Lyrics was great! And all of you 80's fans will love it!!!!

DH, DD, DS and I went to see this last night. It was a lot of fun.

I didn't feel well today (Sat) and spent the whole day on the sofa watching TV and napping. I got all caught up tonight though. I should post personals but it's 1am and I should be getting some sleep.....

All caught up now. We're watching my surprise Valentine's present-season one of "Dead Like Me". I was so sad when they took it away from Sci-Fi, and my family said they wanted me to be happy.

One time we were watching Titanic and my DS (about 4 at the time) came in and caught the end of it. You know the part where she is on the board and Jack is in the water and Rose says, "I'll never let you go, Jack." Then she pushes him into the water. My DS was very upset. "She just said she would never let him go!!!" He didn't quite get it."

I'm with your DS. When she's breaking his fingers to get away, it's very unromantic. Their love story didn't do a lot for me. The part of that movie that made me cry was the mom putting her kids to bed and telling them it would all be over soon.

HAPPY SUNDAY, PEEPS!

DANIELLE.....I saw the Scarlet Pimpernel as a child and fell immediately in love with Leslie Howard. There have not been many actresses before or since as beautiful as Merle Oberon in that movie. So many great lines in that movie.....They seek him here, they seek him there......

Luckily, she didn't drink much of the slushie or my cream colored carpet would have turned GREEN!

Ewwww....so sorry Allie! Been there....DD threw up on Halloween night after about 3 pieces of pizza and half the chocolate in her trick or treat bag....no pretty and the carpet had only been down 2 weeks.

ok, well, there is this "rum island punch" and a "pub crawl"... as well as a Fort Macinac that's fun.. I personal get to ride a horse, while dh prefers to run around the island... we bring our bikes... its just wonderful...

That's so cool that you have been to Mackinac Island for vacation and your second honeymoon.

We love Mackinac, too! We have vacationed in northern Michigan a couple of times and love it there! We've stayed in Petosky, Bay View, and one trip to Grand Haven. Did two day trips to Mackinac...rented bikes, shopped, ate. Very, very beautiful there and in all of northern Michigan. It's a wonderful place to visit in the summer time!

Stacey....When the movie came out....ten-ish years ago...DD was about 4 and saw the scene where they "do it" in the car and all the windows are steamed up. I overheard her telling a friend about the movie and she says...."And then they take a shower in the car!"

We did go eat at a place called Chesterfields tonight (Melissa and Heather will know of it) I had Caesar salad and grilled tuna and loaded potato but I did not use the butter and I did not eat it all and I had fried zucchini sticks with horseradish sauce, but it was not my fault, my in-laws ordered it and I had to eat, but it is zucchini and the breading was light. And I have my bread to DH and when DH asked if I wanted to go get ice cream I said no, but if he asked right now......


We do not go here a lot, but I love there sweet potato fries.

Okay, so a friend of ours has started selling Fresh Air purifiers and he gave us one to try. I think it costs about $800. Anyone know about these? We left it on sanitize when we went to eat and when we returned the whole house smelled different. A very clean, crisp smell - kind of strong, but not bad.

I need this since I am allergic to most fragrences--Just went and bought OUTZ (sp) and I have not decided if I can keep it yet--had a bad headache but not sure if it was from that or not.

Allie - Sorry about your DD! Pray she is better tomorrow.

Pigget must be busy today. Heather, Madison is at her friend, Laura's, house tonight. They go to church with you. When he asked how I knew you, I told him through our daycare. Sounds funny to say you met someone online. Anyone else feel that way? Kind of like online dating, but not.

I love that family. Just had a lazy day--took Kaite to soccer and came home and napped. THen cooked an early dinner and layed around some more. When I did get on I had to make Andrew get off VMK and he wa not happy. When I finally made it to DIS DH gave me that look--so I went and sat by him on the couch and called it a night. Just have been very tired.

We are watching Flyboys right now.

Bee - we saw Music and Lyrics last night. I loved it!

So we leave in 6 days, peeps to Disneyland!

But my 17 year old has to stay home for his Full Time job at Arbys (he's doing training) and is in college classes he can NOT miss. He WANTS to stay home, too. So the rest of us went shopping today and when we got home the microwave was on fire!

He had put a really nice flax seed neck pillow that you microwave for 30 seconds, take it out and shake and microwave again, (repeat)for 6 minutes!!!!!! It was put in the microwave awkwardly and so the carousel would not turn. So my lovely neck warming flax seed and lavander neck pillow caught fire and totally ruined our microwave!

He was SO appologetic, but I just said, "Let's look at all the lapses in COMMON SENSE in this situation!"



P.S. His Girlfriend is out of town durring the week we're gone or I'd be dragging him to DL!!!!

OMG my DS8 just said, "they keep showing these commercials for Tampax, and we dont even know what it is!"

Hey missing first service this morning because my hip/back is out again. Not sure what I did. Took a Lortab and using ice so I can go to second service and teach. Then we are taking youth to eat and a movie, then small group at our house at 5. Sundays are so busy!

DS7 asked me what those roll things are in my bathroom.

Here's a good tampon story for ya! When I was in college, we would be given a goody box at the beginiing of each year in the dorm. It had sample products of different things like tylenol, oil of olay, and tampons. Well one year they had to recall all of the tampons, because they had just discovered the link with Toxic shock syndrome. Don't ask me how we figured this out, but somehow the girls on my floor discovered that if you turn tampons inside out they look like guaze bells. So we kept our recalled tampons, turned them all inside out and put glitter on them and used them to decorate a Christmas tree in our lounge! Well the guys from a few floors down saw our tree and loved the decorations. They told us that guys weren't crafty and could we make them those cool bells for their tree! We were more than happy to do that! We got such a great laugh out of it, and I don't think they ever knew that their tree was decorated with tampons! So next time your kids ask what Tampons are just tell them that they are Christmas decorations!

Utahmama- Unfortunately common sense cannot be taught. We have those pilow things too. I am going to remind my kids not to nuke em that long. We had to replace microwave once because someone baked a potato in it with one of those nifty little aluminum nails in it!

We went out to eat last night and I was good. We had Japanese. I ate salad,1/2 c rice,veggies,petit filet mignon and 1/2 serving of green tea ice cream and diet coke. I skipped the tempura and sushi and said no to fied ice cream and drinks. This morning I made low fat Krusteaz blueberry pancakes. This week I am trying harder.

Good mrning or afternoon all! Did you know if my fingers get confused it types faternoon, omg! I guess thats my state of mind today, yup sure is! Ok I have been now hoovering at this 201 point and its really annoying me right now! OK its just annoying me and the fact really that the Drs scale is like 8 lbs more than my home scale so I am positve the Dr is right. Its just the numbers I can't handle the sight of right now.

So I am cleaning out basement last night and I came across my old size 16 sohrts you know I couldn't even get them over the bottom of my thighs! I know I am prbably just getting frustrated and have to do something besides cry about it, but right now I am so close to running to Wally World and sending some Green Goblin to camp courtesy of me!

I have avoided my starches, chocolate and changed dramatically tons of poor estting habits and I wnat some nice big results NOW!!!!

OK I think I am done!

Stacey - thanks for asking about me. I'm actually really really sore! And swollen on one side. I've been living off sips of gatorade and mashed potatoes. My sore side is the side where my tooth was sideways so I think they had to do a little extra work to get it out, hence the extra soreness. The Dr also said that the swelling would peak at about 48 hours which is in a couple hours and sounds about right judging by my face right now. The percocets are fabulous but they knock me out within 15 minutes of taking them so I'm pretty much stuck on the couch or in bed if I take them. I'm getting a little nervous about this week, Tuesday and Wednesday specifically. My supervisor at the schools has been giving me and the other clinician a really hard time about our performance and right now I can barely open my mouth! I've already used my 1 absence so I can't even call in sick. Judging from her reaction when I told her I was in pain and having them out, I don't think she will be very sympathetic. That and I haven't even written my lesson plans - I am screwed with her.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I've been skimming and staying caught up but just not in the mood to post a lot. If you could send a little pixie dust that I start feeling loads better soon, I'd appreciate it!
