My dh filled my van with gasoline!! and shoveled the driveway...

He is not wearing clothes!! He thinks its warm outside!! He climbed Mt Ranier last year and has his windproof gear on - but it looks like nylon running gear to me!!

Sounds like fun. It's only a 3 hour drive to Indianapolis from here, (good ole Lewis Co.). However, I really doubt that I can convince DH to let me go. After all, we have a busy and costly schedule for June. June 16th, we will head to KY Speedway for the Busch race and host a huge tailgating party with about 30 people. Then at the end of the month we are taking the kids to the KY Railroad Museum to see Thomas the Tank Engine and from there we'll head to Gatlinburg for the 4th of July week. So I really doubt that I could make it but then again you never know. By the way, I checked out the website and couldn't find a price. Do you have any idea what the weekend would cost? Thanks in advance.

It's so hard to control your child's influences. We have a hard time with that as well. All I can do is tell my kids that tehre are some things that aren't meant for children and try to make sure tey have plenty of child friendly alternatives.

We went to the mall on Sun and there was a cheerleading compition in town. the girls there were all in the short tiny skirts and had so much make up on it made me ill. Little girls 7 and 8 yrs old had this stuff on and no one thought twice about it. I of course talked to my DD's about proper dress and make up. We also talked about how it sends the wrong message to be dresses like that. It's no wonder that child molestation and porn are on the rise, parents are putting their kids is skimpy outfits and make up and sending them out into the world; for what??!?!?! A medal or trophy?

Thanks Melinda for always noticing me. Things have settled down some. I think we are gooing to take over the Fitness Center early (like two weeks) and we are having a disagreement about finances. I just don't think he thinks about the money like he should so I will write it all out for him and see if he will see my point-cuz I'm sure I'm right .

Hi. I noticed that you live in Indianapolis. We were just there a couple of weeks ago for the Monster Jam. This was our 2nd year attending the Monster Jam at the RCA Dome. My oldest son is a Colts fan and was really worried about them losing the championship. He wasn't a Colts fan until the first time that we went to the Dome. He was absolutely amazed and converted then and there.

Thanks guys for the welcome. Let me share a little about myself. I'm a nurse, I work 11p-7am(7on/7off). I work nights so I can have my afternoons free to take my kids to activities. My oldest(my son) is a senior this year. We are experiencing some growing pains- I'm just holding on and hoping that some of that good sense I think I instilled in him when he was little will resurface. My girls (age 15 and 11) keep me busy. They dance 4 days a week. Tap, jazz, hiphop, and this year we added ballet- both girls are on pointe. Since I went to night shift 3 years ago, I've gained 34#. Before that, I took diet pills (I know, I cheated) and I lost down to about 120-125. Which was great considering I'm barely 5'. I'm now at 168#. I told ya'll before we joined a 24hr access gym and I've been going almost everyday. Not seeing much results yet so I'm struggling to keep trying.

I scanned through some of the posts from last night and this am. To the mom with the talent show song issues- my daughter is dancing to "Got the Music in Me" this year. Its cute and hiphop style without the nasty language. I'm with you on homeschool. My youngest goes to middle school next year. Our middle school have more problems than the high school.

I'd like to know more about the PEEP meet and the marathon. I've never been much of a runner-but I love Disney and this may be a good incentive for me to stay focused and give me something to work for. So please forward any info on the meet and the marathon.

The Feb exercise challenge? The goal is for 25 min per day? Ok -I'm in. Only I walk alot with my job so I can usually go longer on the tredmill - just at a walking pace with 0.5 incline though. The other day I stayed on for an hour. The gym we use the TV's are connected to the tredmill and only work if the equipment is moving- Charmed was on and I hadnt seen that particular one so I was tired but it was too far to drive home to catch the end of it. We live in a rural area and "town is 20min from us" - it is getting closer though.

To those of you in the snow- I'm sorry! Central ALABAMA is so warm. It was 65 yesterday. Going to be cold tonight though- 30's and highs tomorrow in the 40's. BURR!!- Just Kidding- One of the girls I work with is originally from Indianapolis and another is from Chicago- they just love Alabama winter.

Well, I'm at home today. It started snowing last night, and it hasn't stopped yet. It is blowing badly! And there are drifts in our back yard, our driveway, and on our street. I got up this morning and took the puppy out. The snow was deep, and the wind was bad, but it was dark and hard to tell how bad it was. DH came out to help me clear off his demo, an SUV, and there was a drift along the driver's side and on the street in both directions. The wind was crazy! I said, "I am starting to question my sanity here." He agreed. We came back inside, I let the puppy out again, and you couldn't even tell where we had been out an hour and a half earlier. I called into work at 8 to see who had made it in, and 2 people were there. Someone who lived in town had called in! I told the receptionist I would try to get in later if things cleared up, but it doesn't look like that will be happening. We had to have the furnace guy come out because last night it was out. DH and FIL reset it, and we started smelling something hot, so we turned it off until we could get the furnace guy out here. He got it going again and seemed to think the issue was related to the filters DH had just cleaned last night & the fan working too hard to compensate for the fact that the heat wasn't working. Anywho, it's back on now and no smell! And I am home, on the couch with a down comforter. Hope everyone is staying safe and warm today! Be careful out there!

And how about a challenge of 30 minutes of activity today??? Come on UM! I know you can do it! You can so rock it! So can anyone else who wants to join in! Who wants to match UM and me???

Jst got Back fro SDV atlantic city abby 1 Was freaking Awesome!!!!

It was amazing I had a blast i got some much done. heres some pics
There were 400 scrappers and 7 vendors.

This was most of upstairs.

I don't know if I can make this or not, but it sure sound like fun! We are headed to Indy the following weekend for the Gwen Stefani concert. If anyone plans on going, let me know though!

wow now i feel bad i have both those songs on my ipod . but i am one of those who believe that you can listen to anything as long as you don't take to heart what the words mean, my brother is in a band that is anti-death metal i listen to that and support him but i don't really take to heart what his lyrics are... i am gonna be in trouble when dd 5 grows up....

I know what you mean...I love all kinds of music! I grew up listening to the Big Hair Bands of the 80's that our parents hated and now I listen to everything from Tim McGraw to Ludacris. My IPod is a virtual Jukebox...

My kids sleep through anyting, but not me. Between the lightening that lit up my entire room and then the thunder that rattled all my windows I was up a good bit. Well I must go and finish getting ready for work. TOday is my evaluation day and I think I want to dress a little nice-Wish me luck--I wonder if my boss thinks I am as good as I think I am

We used to live in Meridian, MS (in tornado alley) and we would have so many tornado alarms in the middle of the night that we got used to sleeping on the bathroom floor. Our parents didn't even wake us, just drug us in there on blankets!!!
