Thanks guys. I am still sitting here because I am afraid to move. But I have got to try and go to bed. I am not good at cutting back. Plus I am not a volunteer, I am paid staff. I do not do rest well. I have never missed more than two days of work at one time for being sick. I hate to feel like a slacker and there is always so much to do. It was driving me crazy tonight to not be able to do what I needed to do! :sad2:

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE Yes, it is very early and I have lots to accomplish this morning.

S. PoppinsI didn't stay home. My work and DH job is only 3 min from our house. DH didn't leave town until 2 ish.

DS slept most of the day and when not sleeping called with hourly temp. notices. He truley is OCD, but I love my boy. God amazes with him a lot.

DD we are starting in albuteral this morning and hopefully she will be able to kick this cough.

DS#3 hopefully will be well enough for his surgery Friday.

ON TO THE GOOD NEWS--Well I will still be hanging out here and watching what I eat and still making the list for the big meet. But for about 9 months I will be trying not to gain to much weight. :rolleyes1 OCT. 14th.. I know this will not be our day b/c I will be induced--not due to medical but b/c I want as my students say the baby's daddy to be there.

DH is out of town and I would like a little way of telling him we are having our 4th. I know you guys can come up with some ideas.

Stacey go ahaead and put me down for an infant spot in January.

I sitll plan on running and all the other stuff. I do not want to gain a lot of weight this time. I have worked to hard to get it off. Since August I have lost 22 pounds.
This morning I making the call to my DR. He likes to see us around week 6-8.

JUst pray that everthing goes well and there are no complications.

Praying for you. Poor DS--When do you go to the DR? Who are you going to see?

I know this isn't a cleaning thread but I just had to tell you my bargain! I had decided on the purple animal dyson that you all rave about and was trying to find the best price, well I found it for $360 but I had to have it all in one colour not purple (my favourite colour BTW) so I thought hey who's going to see it anyway and it's saving me loads and comes with a free car cleaning kit (about $60) so I've just ordered it but I'm going to have a very dirty house as it won't be here for about 5 days! Isn't it ridiculous what you get excited about! :rotfl2:

:sunny: GOOD SNOWY WEDNESDAY MORNING, LADIES!!! :sunny:

The huge snow storm that let school out early yesterday did not materialize but no school again today. Just about an inch here it looks like....five-six inches just an hour north. We are almost in the record books for most days below freezing here. Count your blessings if you are farther south.

Prayers for Fidge today....her outpatient surgery is this morning. :grouphug:

If you are planning on going to the meet let me know.
I would like to try to make it....maybe DD too although she will probably not walk...maybe just push a stroller if someone needs her to.
I have to give myself a BIG WOO HOOTY..... I walked 2.25 miles today.
Way to go!!! You'll be surprised how quickly you will build endurance! Glad you're here.
Today was a good step.
Good girl!!!! Changing those old, bad habits and starting good ones is really the most important part of this whole thing. Way to go!!! :yay:
Well, it's been one heck of a long week!
:grouphug: Been thinking about you. Thanks for the update. Prayers for you and your family.
Rachel is sick again and she sounds just like Peyton when she coughs. He has asthma.I am giving her breathing treatments every four hours but she is still coughing until she throws up.
Oh, NO!!! Poor baby!! She has been sick so often this winter. Prayers for her and YOU. :grouphug:
So I posted on the WL Lover's thread... you'd think one person would acknowledge... nope, nothin, nada.. zippo...
What a great post!!! No response??? :confused3
Totals for today...
Love the totals, Lynda. Don't you love leftovers?? I can make a Lean Cuisine about of any leftovers in the house. It's really just portion control, ya know. ;)
I've been doing great with my zero point soup! Did I tell everyone I added cayenne pepper? It is really good and I add the cooked pearl barley (in a separate container in the fridge) when I want it to be more filling. I think I love that soup! I feel so GOOD!
Almost any savory diet food tastes better with hot sauce on it....I'm finding! ;)
I've made it a year and don't remotely feel like quitting. It is encouraging to see what exercise I can do when I'm forced!!! :rotfl2:
Way to go with the exercise, Nan! You're awesome!!! :woohoo:

Stacey.....I am like you....keep going come hell or high water, but you must cut back until this hip situation is healed. REALLY!?!?! You must have sick days coming?? You are not a slacker but you can't be your best until you get some relief from the pain. I agree that the arthritis doctor is not the answer. He seems to be helping the pain but not the source of it. Get a second opinion...today! Prayers for you, sweet girl!

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: HEATHER!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! How exciting!!! That makes 2 thread babies due now!

Watch out, girls....getting slim and getting pregnant go hand in hand!!! Careful out there everybody!!!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

WOOOOOHOOOOOTY, HEATHER!!!!!:dance3:

Didn't we just talk about this! I am so excited for you. I will get you on that list today!!! Who is your doctor? Your DH doesn't know yet!? Maybe you could get a babysitter, fix him dinner, and wear nothing but a "Baby on Board" shirt! How long is he out of town? I could make you Ohana bread pudding. Are you going to the wake or funeral?

Boy, if you keep going you are going to be able to have a Magical Gathering with just your family!!!!

Heather, I thought I was going to beat you to posting this morning. I went ahead and got up because everytime I moved in bed it was killing me! I don't know when I will be able to get in. Not sure what to do at this point. My PT friend is trying to get me in to see Dr. Bernardo (?), but who knows when that will be because I have never seen him before. DH is not going to let me go to work today - not sure I could anyway.

I have an OCD son too. Except he is real germaphobic. He doesn't even eat after me. He is also weird about asking the same question over and over. And he is constantly doing math problems in his head. Quirky, but cute.

Where did you order from, Jo?? Details!?!

Good for DH!!! Stay still, woman!!! Put on a good movie and try to rest! Take another Loritab when the kids go to school.

Thanks Melinda. I just took another Loritab. I was very nervous about taking one last night because I took one last Friday and ended up throwing up a few times. But that may have been because of my migraine.

I need your prayers!

Tonight was very rough! I am okay now. As long as I sit in one position in my recliner with the ice pack.

My hip was bothering me all day today. Then I came home and had to prepare for the youth small group at my house. Our cook at the school quit so I had to stop on my way home at Wal-mart to get stuff to make an enormous amount of chicken spaghetti for tomorrow's lunch. So cooked for the kids, did prayer and everything with them. They all left at about 8:30. I was hurting badly by then but I had to get the spaghetti cooked and DH was gone on appts. I can not begin to describe the pain. I have a very high tolerance for pain and have never cried because of pain - ever, not even hard labor.

But tonight I stood in my kitchen and sobbed the whole time I was cooking. The pain is that bad. My poor kids - scared them to death. My sweet DS 7 kept coming in and insisting that I sit down. He was crying too. But I couldn't, I had food on the stove and had to get it done. The kids finally got hold of DH who was about 30 minutes away. By the time he got home I had gone to the bathroom. Getting up and down is excruciating! But I had to go. When DH got home I was sitting in the bathroom crying because I could not get up. DH had to pull me (painfully) off the toilet. Our friend who is the PT did not recommend the ER, which is where DH was about to haul me. He told me to ice it and get off of it. It seems better if I do not move - at all.

Right now I need to go to the bathroom again and I am dreading it!

My poor kids fell apart when their dad got home. They never see me sick, much less crying and almost screaming from pain.

Just pray that I can see a good doctor soon. The PT recommended that I not see my arthritis dr. again because he keeps giving me steroids. And pray that I can pull it together for work tomorrow.

Sorry this was so long guys. I can take a lot, but not sure I can take too much of this. I am very busy and I do not have time to be down right now.

Thanks for the prayers! Hopefully the Lortab (DH talked me into trying this again) will kick in soon. Night Peeps!

Ok, I had this kind of pain several months ago. I had a degenerating lower disc. I had to have spinal fusion surgery, I am just now going back to work. Havent worked since the last day of July. Grumpy had to pull me off the toilet also as I was healing. I cried also. You will get through this!!!:grouphug:

OK, now go back and read that last sentence.. I could make you Ohana bread pudding! You are in horrible pain Stacey! And here you are offering once again to do something for someone. This speaks volumes as to who you are!! Love ya, but take care of yourself PLEASE! :grouphug:

Jo- I love my Dyson!!!! Daily I say something like "I wanna marry it!"

IT SUCKS!!!! :lmao: I dont think it' sever been put away because I love to vacuum. I vacuum twice a day. I have really cheap light beige carpet and you can see every crum and cat-hair. What's funny is my Dyson got up the stuff the Hoover and Dirt Devil (yes prior to the Dyson at Christmas I had 2 vacuums that did not work well at all!!!) missed. It picks up that loose new-carpet lint that makes me sneeze. The attachments are wonderful. Mine is only purple in one part. The rest is either see-thru or grey.

Really happy for ya!

I'm up an HOUR early! What the HECK?! I hate that! ohhhhh well!

Bee, what was your pain like? What kind of dr. did you see? How did they figure out what was wrong? MRI? Did your come and go? I have thought up until the last few week that I just had Sciatica (pinched sciatic nerve) and so did my arthritis dr. But the last 3 weeks have been different. A 10 on the pain richter scale and it is getting worse. Unbelievable shooting pain that radiates from lower back to left hip all the way down my left leg. The muscles in that leg are starting to cramp up and hurt - maybe because of the strain? What is the difference between a degenerating lower disc and a herniated lower disc? Do you think the symptoms are similar?

Thanks, Dr. Belinda!

I have the same color carpet. I could vacuum several times a day and still see stuff. You have almost talked me into a Dyson - I think they sell them at Sam's but I can't remember how much.

Stacey.....DH had this problem earlier this year. Yes...the pain can come and go. The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the body....as big around as your thumb. If a disc is resting on the nerve the pain will be as you described...starting in your hip/bottom and radiating down your leg. If it's a lower back issue, a neurologist is the doctor to see I think. He will probably send you for an MRI. Here's a link with some info.

Stacey, I sent you a PM with my number. So, we could visit for a minute.
I had to have an MRI, I also had to have a procedure in a sterilized room that I was awake for that they stuck needles in my spine so I could tell them when it hurt. Not my most fun day. And the MRI, I thought my fat self was gonna get stuck in there.. SCARED ME:rolleyes1

I feel awesome now.. But, my right hip was killing me and I ad a tough time. It does feel so much better now though!!!

...and how's the hair?

Your food choices rocked today!
I had a weird snack today. I dunked a spoon into a jar of peanut butter. It was heavenly. I didnt want to look at how many points it was but I will...
YAY! only 2 ish, 3 to be safe! See, I wanted a Reeses peanut butter cup, and that spoonful of yummy peanut butter was SO worth it.

I've been doing great with my zero point soup! Did I tell everyone I added cayenne pepper? It is really good and I add the cooked pearl barley (in a separate container in the fridge) when I want it to be more filling. I think I love that soup! I feel so GOOD!

Hair is awesome...I LOVE LOVE LOVE my stylist Marcus, he's the best!

Yeah, I was very proud of myself for the eating. I just need to keep it up. Oh, and I'm totally a peanut butter snacker. I buy Skippy reduced fat creamy, and I dunk a spoon probably 3 times/week!!
:)

Oh, so many responses, and not a lot of time, so here it goes....

Eeyore - I can't believe you were ignored after that lovely description of the WL. :confused3 You will never be ignored here. We love you!

Winkers - Take your time to grieve. We are here for you when you need us. Remember the precious moments you got to spend with your dear grandma.

Bee - You do what is best for you! If Slim Fast is it, then go for it! We are here to help you along. You are an inspiration to me.

StaceyPoppins - Take care of yourself. Rest and stay off that hip. I will pray that you find a Dr. that can REALLY help you. I am feeling much better today, so now you take care of yourself.

Pigget - CONGRATULATIONS! Another Peep baby! How exciting!

DisJo - Good score on the Dyson! You must give me details!

Ok, gotta go get ready for work! Have a good day peeps!

winkers – I’m so sorry for your loss. Know that you and your family are in my thoughts.

mony – Great news on the baby – thanks for letting us know!

pigget – CONGRATS!! Wow, two Peep babies on the way - how exciting!

Stacey – Listen to your DH! I’m sorry you’re going through all this pain – here’s hoping for some relief very soon. For what it’s worth, I had sciatica when I was pregnant and it was second in pain only to child-birth. Barely.

ACCOUNTABILITY: I was bad, bad, bad, bad yesterday. No exercise. Much chocolate. I feel like carp today. I need to remember how awful I feel today and how great I felt yesterday after eating well and exercising the day before.

Danielle, thank you for putting all the prayer requests in one post!!

Stacey - You are in pain, you have tied a knot and are hanging on by a very thin thread. Have you mentioned this to your church? Are you on their prayer list? You need an intervention!! Can I speak up for you to find something to help you? Please, dont sacrifice yourself, or your family for your church - you are not the best you you can be with this pain - the pain is a HUGE flag that you HAVE to take care of - the pain can be an indication of an answered prayer, but you are not listening to it!! (yep, sometimes the answer is no, sometimes the answer is surgery... :confused3 and you are at a point where you cannot ignore the pain!!) and you are definately in my prayers!!

Duncansweetie!! CONGRATS!!! :cheer2:

Jess - one day at a time, one step at a time!!! WTG!! :woohoo:

Winkers - :grouphug:

:dance3: AnnNan !! and wtg in throwing out the  to Bee, and all of us!! :yay:

awww Pigget!!! :cutie: CONGRATULATIONS!!! :wizard:

Monica!!! You have company now!!! :cloud9:

I overslept!!

Thanks Al and V. I appreciate all the encouragement. Al, glad you are feeling better. V, I have had sciatica problems since my first pregnancy. This is so much worse. With the sciatica it has always come and gone. Rarely bad two days in a row. This has been three weeks of increasingly worse pain. How long did you sciatica last?

Stacey.....DH had this problem earlier this year. Yes...the pain can come and go. The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the body....as big around as your thumb. Thanks for the link, it is one I have been looking at this week. I am always trying to self-diagnose.

Okay, the needles in the spine thing - :scared1: Thanks, I am about to call you!

You guys are the best. At least I won't get behind today! I guess I will be right here in this recliner. DH just left to take the kids to school and deliver the chicken spaghetti for the school. He is such a good guy.

By the way, what kind of surgery is Fidge having today? I will pray for her.

Thanks for the advice. You are right. Whenever I get spread too thin, it usually effects me physically. God really has to get my attention. Type A here, I hate being sick and I rarely am. I have control issues too. As DH said this morning, "Church will go on tonight without you." I know he is right. Thanks for the reminder.
