Thanks Fidge! Nothing worse than a sick DH - I feel your pain! ;) You know I have been thinking...and maybe it was the painful trip down Summit Plummet! I do not recommend this for people over 30.

Stacey, my hip hurts for you (;) ). Not too badly but I can NOT sit Indian style or raise my one leg to put on a sock or whatever. It's chronically buggin'.

I hope you are feeling better soon!!!! All our prayers are with you. I wouldn't say that if I didn't mean it. You are such a sweetie and we hurt when you do.
Is it more comfy to sit in the recliner? Seems like it would be with your legs raised. Hope your family is being good to you.

Summit Plummit!!!! I cant imagine!

hokay - all caught up fer a minute! chatty patties!

Fidge! so glad to hear you are here and okay

Stacy - thinking of you!

Myboyz - 6 mi - good job!!! and they thought I was the overacheiver!

MY DOGOODER REPORT!

Cals - 1600 (not as low as I'd like but better than some days)
Exercise - 40 min!!!
Water - 3L (I'll be up all night!)
Vitamins - check!

good job me!!! now if I can stay out of the kitchen til bedtime I'll be alright!!

oaky I need advice - I am counting cals now and seem to be doing a little better at staying off the binge, but I have randomly set my goal at 1500cals per day, if my goal weight is 155 don't you think that 10X my goal weight is a decent amount to shoot for without starving?

Thanks!! that says I can have more cals per day than I thought, I'll try it for a week and see if I get good results!

That sounds pretty good to me. I think I have heard 12x goal weight, but I am using less than that too. My goal weight is about 160 lbs., and I am shooting for between 1200 and 1800 (less than 1600 most days though) calories per day.

Whew, I have just read all the posts from today. Lots goin' on!

Congrats on the baby, pigget74!! That is so exciting! Hope you are feeling well! Sorry I don't have too many ideas about sharing pregnancies. The only person close to me that was ever pregnant was my DSIL and I don't think she was really into the doing something special thing. She probably just said, hey chris, I'm pregnant. Anyway, they did buy my mom a book of nursery rhymes as a mother's day gift one year and said that she will have to start getting re-familiar with them so she could read to the baby. Talk about tears! It was the first grandchild for both sides of the family so to say we were excited would be a very big understatement. You could say something like, "what are you doing on (insert due date here)?" and when he says "nothing" or "I don't know", say "well do you think you could take me to the hospital to have our baby"? or something like that. Just another idea...

Stacy - ouch! Take care of yourself and go to the hospital if you think you need to  . Here is some magic medicine :wizard: that you are able to be comfortable and rest easy.

Ok, I was really bad in the individual replies today but I swear I will try to get back in the game. I think about you all a lot and look forward to the time I can just relax at the computer with my Peeps.

My day was long! Did therapy at the schools for a few hours then had to trek across town to our clinic and do my other client. And I'm still not feeling 100% from my cold so I skipped out on my biology class I'm taking at the community college. I know I should be going but I'm a little bitter that I even have to take this class to get certified later on so I'm being really stubborn about it.

Foodwise, I feel like I have been ok but I think I ate all of my flex points this week and weigh in is tomorrow night. I'm a little nervous - I really want to see the number go down my first weigh in. So right now, I'm trying to drink a ton of water and really watch what I'm eating.

:grouphug: , :cheer2: , and pixiedust: to everyone who needs it! Off to get a little work done for tomorrow.

Yeah, it says I can have more than I thought, too...I'm trying to stay about 100 less than what it said and hope to lose. I'll weigh myself tomorrow and we'll see if it's worked so far!!

OK, I have been trying to stay caught up today, but I was actually busy at work...working!:scared1:  Actually, I have been pretty busy for a couple of weeks now, which does make it more challenging to stay caught up here, but I am caught up. I had some quotes ready at work, but ran out of time to respond. It was food day, and I was pretty good, I think. There was a lot of cookies that looked REALLY good, but I had none! Here's totals for today...

B: whole grain waffles w/ Promise & lite Aunt Jamima’s syrup & Light n Fit yogurt (310)
S: string cheese (70) 4 pieces broccoli & 2 pieces cauliflower (30), 2 tbsp dip (120), ¼ cup baby carrots (20), 10 grapes (30), Fuze (20)
L: leftover lemon pepper chicken breast (200), Activia yogurt (110), ½ cup pasta salad (200), 2x2 in. brownie (110) I was FULL!
D: salad w/craisins, gorgonzola crumbles, almond slices,...(260) & 1/4 cup Sunkist honey dipped almonds (160 & YUMMY!!!)
S: WW chocolate cake (80)

TOTAL: 1720 calories & about 80 oz. of water

Stacey - PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!! I am glad you are feeling a little better and that you are getting this checked out. I hope things improve very soon! for you! Be good to yourself.

I forgot to say CONGRATULATIONS Pigget!!!!! How exciting!

Sorry. My mom is here doing our taxes on TurboTax, so she is asking me lots of questions, and I am distracted a bit.

Gotta go post my trip report installment! Check back in later.

Grumpy will be home friday night.. I dont want him to turn tail and run back out.:rotfl:

Glad Grumpy is coming home for you! We miss him too! I'm sure you are more than ready for him to be home again!

Here for a giggle for the day.... I dyed my hair last night with new shade, DS asked me to come and read and got lost and forgot about the dye! OMG I have red on the top I can't believe it!

My mom had to come pick me up from the airport one time with Purple hair because hers went terribly, terribly wrong...no kidding...it was Lavendar! :upsidedow

Well, it's been one heck of a long week! My grandma passed away friday afternoon and we had the funeral yesterday. I was blessed to be able to hold her had as she passed, it was truly a blessing. The doctor said it was colon cancer and my great grandma also died of it.

I am sending you lots of prayers and hugs :grouphug:

Oh, and I also sent you my book today! Sorry it is so late!!!

ON TO THE GOOD NEWS--Well I will still be hanging out here and watching what I eat and still making the list for the big meet. But for about 9 months I will be trying not to gain to much weight. :rolleyes1 OCT. 14th.. I know this will not be our day b/c I will be induced--not due to medical but b/c I want as my students say the baby's daddy to be there.

Congratulations!!!! That is awesome!!! Keep us informed about how you decide to tell him!!!

Stacey & Fidgie - hope you are feeling better!!! :grouphug: go you both!!

I only had time to catch up! I have to go and get ready to watch LOST!!!
I am recording the before show and I can go start watching it now and fast forward through commercials!

Bee, what was your pain like? What kind of dr. did you see? How did they figure out what was wrong? MRI? Did your come and go? I have thought up until the last few week that I just had Sciatica (pinched sciatic nerve) and so did my arthritis dr. But the last 3 weeks have been different. A 10 on the pain richter scale and it is getting worse. Unbelievable shooting pain that radiates from lower back to left hip all the way down my left leg. The muscles in that leg are starting to cramp up and hurt - maybe because of the strain? What is the difference between a degenerating lower disc and a herniated lower disc? Do you think the symptoms are similar?

Thanks, Dr. Belinda!

Stacey~ DH has degenerative disk disease and he's feeling the same way you are. He also has migraines and sees a neurologist on a regualr basis. The neuro told him that it's an emergency if he loses feeling in both legs or if he wets himself. Dh has been to several rounds of PT and saw an orthopedic surg. for his back. His curr PT is referring him back to the ortho because there's nothing PT can do to help him and he's been living on vicodin for awhile. We were told it wasn't a matter of if he needed surgery, it was when the pain wasn't controllable anymore. I'm hoping we haven't hit that point yet but if so, maybe fusing the veterbrae or replacing the disk will help him.

Between Dh not feeling well and my sis working a double and me going to let her poor puppy outside, I'm pooped. I'm not going to make it to 10pm tonight. I was just getting ready to hop ont he TM when sis sent the mayday so I didn't get to exercise today and all I have to say about dinner is..... it ended in a part of a piece of chocolate cake....... I was really good until then though so hopefully I didn't do too much damage.

Heather - I came up with the perfect idea! You should knit a pair of booties before he comes home!!!:rotfl2: Just a thought. I would do it for you if I could knit. I can cross stitch though. As a matter of fact, I just have a little more to do on the one I started for my first born's nursery. At 11, I hope she will still want to hang it! :thumbsup2 Sorry I did not call you back, by the time I realized you called I figured you were at church. Call when you get a chance. How is your DS?

Stacey, my hip hurts for you (;) ). Not too badly but I can NOT sit Indian style or raise my one leg to put on a sock or whatever. It's chronically buggin'.

Summit Plummit!!!! I cant imagine!

Thanks for the prayers! I know how you feel with the sock thing. DH had to put mine on today. It is very frustrating to me. I am independant and hate to ask for help. So having DH help me to the bathroom has been very humbling! He has been so sweet, makes me feel kind of bad for being so snippy when he was sick a few weeks ago. The recliner is the best place to sit. I just can't get out of it without help. Summit Plummit was terrifying from the top, but it is over so fast you don't have time be scared. But it hurt my butt when I hit the bottom. Warning - this slide will cause wedgies and may cause you to lose your top!

hokay - all caught up fer a minute! chatty patties!

I think 1600 is great, especially with 40 minutes of exercise! And 3 L of water!!!:scared1: I haven't been doing so good on the water drinking. Going to and from the bathroom hurts.

Thanks Shannon. I keep hoping a Dr. will give me some magic medicine...But in the mean time, I will take yours!

Thanks for the hug! I love reading what you eat everyday because it gives me ideas. Your meals always sound so good.

I have considered joining WW online. Has anyone else done this? Do you think it is worth it?

Your poor DH. Does his kind of come and go. That is what mine has done for the last 3 weeks. But the last 2 days have been consistent, steady pain. How did your DH do at Disney?

Ok, I made whole grain "busgetti" (Ronzoni Healthy Harvest) with Hunts no sugar added sauce and parmessan cheese. It was glorious! The whole grain spaghetti was SOOOO much better than I remember. I think I loved it! Very full and happy.

I made garlic bread out of hot dog buns (NOT for me though) and my kids thought I was a genius! They loved it too and they're picky.

It's an early to bed night tonight! It feels like the same as sleeping in and I need to be good to myself!

Bee good to yourself!

Bee good to others!

Bee accountable!

Bee honest!

Bee active!

Bee healthy!

Bee strong (when tempted or bored, or sad, etc)!
