Disappearing FP+ - Actual experiences

I'm wondering if it makes a difference in ticket type and packages. It seems that many who are having issues have APs or tickets that they are linking that are not in a package.

We are booked on a package-we have 2 rooms with base tickets. When we first tried to link the 2 reservations so that I could make all of the FP selections it got really screwed up-one ds disappeared, the other ds was there twice. I called IT and they got it fixed. Aside from being screwy on the app, our selections have been ok. I check every day to be sure that everything is there every day.

I'm calling today to add the dining plan on--I am more than a little worried how this is going to go. We are only 6 days out, if we lose our FPs I'm guessing we will have a tough time getting them anywhere close to what we have now. Wish me luck :wizard:
 
I had a MYW package including dining and I lost everything except my dining reservations. They added my hotel back in a minute but took forever to get the tickets back but I lost the fast passes and had to rebook.
 
I don't have an actual report to share, but after reading this was appalled that Disney would handle the fast pass situations as described even if there is a chance that some may be scamming the system. The problem is that this new system has been consistently problematic. If Disney insists on continuing to use it, then they need to also have a grace period giving guests the benefit of the doubt. How can Disney justify treating guests this way? I'm sorry, this is simply not acceptable and I don't think it is ok not to accept a screen shot or paper proof. It's all a paying guest has! Guests are spending countless hours planning and preparing and doing their best to "go with the flow" with all these new changes. Shame on Disney. Sorry if I got off topic here but this really got my Irish up and could not help myself.

I was just getting caught up on the podcast this morning myself and was just as surprised. They would not take screenshot evidence nor paper evidence. You are at the mercy of the system, and if it fails you, you're just out of luck. I was glad to hear they kept working in it and offered the FPP later after they discovered it WAS a compute pr glitch, but it should not fall to a guest to prove he or she is not lying/fabricating when they have evidence to the contrary with a very glitchy system... I guess the best we can all do right now is hope it doesn't happen to us?
