Disapalooza 2015

I would love to go to this. I actually arrive that day for a short WDW stay before a cruise. Just need to work out transport issues since I'm staying at AKL. Decisions, decisions...

What about Mousefest? :mickeyjum
Mousefest has been gone for awhile now there are may reasons I've herd about why. Some being that it got to big for the organisers of it to Disney asking them for numbers for meets and payment to close a ride well the meet goes on at it. Some of the stories I've herd involved about 100 people in a fastpass line at one time.

I do think that Mousefest became a victim of its own success. Dave Marx of the Passporter series used to organize it, along with a committee - all volunteer. It went on "hiatus" when he stepped down saying that it was becoming too time consuming, i.e. it was taking him and the committee the entire year to organize. Unfortunately, no-one stepped in to take over the reins/reigns - which I totally understand. I was only able to go the last year they did it, 2008. It was so much fun.

And I must say I am so sad to hear what the DisUnplugged event is going to be. I was all booked for my annual December trip and then one of my co-workers got pregnant and I had to move my trip to October. Dang her!!!! It sucks being a responsible adult. :crazy2:

Does this event require a regular park ticket? Or can you just purchase a ticket to the event like the Halloween parties?

No - it will not require a regular park ticket if it is like all of the events in the past. It is an after hours party.

Unless I heard wrong...I get all the butter beer I want for free (or well included)...someone clairfy this because this is a ticket seller for me.

No park admission required. Your event fee gets you in - kind of like a hard ticketed event at WDW.

They will clear the park of all the day guests and then we will enter - so not only do we have Diagon Alley to ourselves but you will be able to experience an almost empty Universal Studios!!!!

You did not hear wrong - all the butter beer and ice cream you can consume is included. See the first post for a complete list of all that's included.

Perfect timing! We will be in town, just returning from our Fantasy cruise!

I would love to do this, but we are booked to see dlr's 60th in November....we can't do both, unfortunately!

yeah I definitely see that side to I herd from someone from another message board that was part of the committee representing them when they had events at it. That's where I herd the story about Disney wanting to charge them to shut down rides for them, As I said before I think it just got to big and they couldn't handle the number of people attending it anymore so just walked away from it and came up with something to say so people wouldn't be to disappointed.

So we can venture into the rest of the park? We aren't confined to Diagon Alley? Are all the attractions going to be operating like normal? I see that we'll be able to ride the Hogwarts train, so does this mean that Harry Potter World in the other park is opened to us as well? How about the rest of that park?

Not that I plan on really trying to go into the other areas of the parks, I'm just curious how this all works.
