Hi Everyone!!

When: December 9-11, 2011
Where: Villas at Wilderness Lodge

Who: ME!! Lynn, 28, from outside of Boston, and a huge Disney fan! This was my first semi-solo trip and I wasn't really sure what to expect.

Jen, my best friend since middle school! She drove over from Tampa to meet me Saturday night for Disapalooza!

What: Well, the main purpose of the trip was to attend Disapalooza 2011. What is Disapalooza, you say? Only the largest meet up of disboards/ dis unplugged podcast groupies! 700 of us took over the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (WWHOP from now on) and had the best time!

What else? I had been down to WDW in February so I didn't feel the urge to do *everything* as strongly. Seeing the Christmas decorations was my main priority and maybe doing some rides I haven't done before.

The Plan:
Friday 12/9- Arrive in the morning, go to all four parks!
Saturday 12/10- Hit Epcot and MK before Disapalooza at night!!!
Sunday 12/11- Shop at DTD before heading home...

Yes, it was a quick trip, but SO WORTH IT!

This is what I left...

Clearly, at 3:45 in the morning the drive to Logan Airport was pretty easy...

After my bags were checked at every possible check point I was ready to go. Not sure what about me screamed suspicious, but that's ok. Plane was uneventful unlike last time! (Last time the fog was so thick in Orlando, that we had no idea we were landing until we hit the tarmac. It was so scary to feel that bump out of nowhere!!)

The family next to me kept looking over as I watched the documentary about the Sherman Brothers.

I kept getting teary and I don't think they had any idea who these men were despite the fact they probably know the majority of the songs written by them. Watching the documentary has become a little tradition for me and helps get me into the Disney spirit (as if I needed help!)

I made it through MCO and down to the Magical Express. Although the bus was right there, I waited 20 minutes on the bus... A definite downside to WDW transportation. (Waiting for buses became a trend on this trip) The bus was full but before 10am we were finally pulling away to the world! It was about 30 degrees warmer than it was at home, so even waiting a bit couldn't bring me down.

Before I knew it, I was seeing my first Christmas decoration!
On my way into the Magic Kingdom!

Joining in!

What a great start. Isn't it always nice to leave a place so cold for a place so warm? It makes going home that much more difficult.

Can't wait to read more!
