Day 0 can be found here
We had breakfast at Chef Mickeys this morning. We usually do CMs for dinner the night we arrive but couldnt this trip so we opted for breakfast.
We check in at the podium (very little wait). The hostess told us to sit in the circular area to wait to be seated. DH came to me (I was parking the stroller) and said that he guesses they dont do pics for breakfast because we were just told to wait to be seated.
I thought that was crazy! We walked up and sure enough, they were taking pictures so we just got in line (sidenote: this pic actually came out good. The photographer was good and patient).
We were quickly shown to our table. The food was good but I was unhappy with the characters. They barely came by the tables and when they did, we could barely get them to sign the books. Forget pictures, they didnt have time for that. All in all, we will not be doing breakfast at CMs again. Well stick with dinner.
We head off to Downtown Disney for some shopping. Nothing exciting to report. All went well.
We get back to the lodge (by the way the bus service has been great so far) to see where we have been moved. We got room 5032 right off the elevator by RF. We walk into the room and have 2 queen beds (yay!). We also have an excellent view of the otter pond and even the Castle. Things are looking up!!
About an hour later my youngest son starts with this AWFUL cough. The front desk gives me some options (for doctors) and we chose DOC (Doctors On Call). They were wonderful, came out here to the hotel room to look him over. Theyll also have the drugstore deliver the prescription to the front desk and charge the room. How convenient this was! Now, you definitely are paying for the convenience for the doctor the visit was $235 (which they told us before they came out). Although this is extremely expensive, we felt it was worth it to not have to lug the kids out, take a shuttle to the clinic and wait. The doc also provided all the forms to submit to our insurance company.
With that settled, we call for a crib, and we call again, and again, and again. Finally, 8 hours later and countless phone calls the crib arrives at 11:30 PM. Were not happy! At Midnight, housekeeping calls and apologizes for the delay.
DH and I think were being tested, were just trying to figure out what the test is on
