Disagreement over time to leave

Husband and I are disagreeing over what time to leave MGM for airport. He wants to leave, 4 hours before flight!!! I say two. Please help me to convince him that I am correct! I love him but he gets alittle uptight sometimes!!!

Your DH sounds as crazy as mine, I think 2 is just right, I would hate to spend extra hours
in an airport when u could be having fun at WDW! We always leave for our trips way too early
too, my husband is a big worry wart

Here's a compromise. Call the info line for your airline from MGM 4 hours prior to your scheduled departure to make sure your flights are on time. Then leave 2 hours before departure.

No less than 2 hours, I would even make it 2 1/2 to give some cushion (and make hubby happy). On my Feb trip, we left MK about 2 hours before, had to go to the Poly to get the car, stop for gas, drive to airport, drop off luggage at curbside, drop off rental car at National and got to the gate about 10 or 15 minutes before they starting calling the rows. In May, we left a little earlier and I was glad we did because we had a problem with the National final bill and had to go inside, that took at least 20 to 30 minutes to straighten out.

WE have a 9:30pm flight..is 7pm a good time to leave WDW property or should we leave earlier to return rental car...thanks for this great thread, I was wondering too as we have never flown before.

That should be fine. We were delayed signing some DVC papers once, and left about 11:30am for a 12:30 flight and made it, but I do like some extra time
