I'm leaving for the Pop in a couple of days. I read a few weeks ago about disabling the motion sensors on the AC units so they wouldn't shut off at night, but now I can't find those posts. Can anybody direct me to them?

What I just did to try and find it is I went to "search" and entered disable ac.
It pulled up all the forums about ac's. I think the one you are looking for is
under DVC Mousecellaneous entitled Just back from our first SSR stay and DDP experience. Let me know if this is the one and if you found it.:)

Sorry not the one you are looking for try search motion ac. the one that says motion detector ac in rooms. Post #10.
It is located under Disney Resorts forum. Dated 5-17-07. Hope this is it.

Here is the info that I saved posted by "Dean" on the DVC Boards awhile back:

You hold the F/C button in until it says Bp then let it go. When it comes back on it'll be in "Cent" so you need to push it once more to get the "F" reading. It then works like a regular thermostat.

Not sure about Pop, but he bypass at SSR is good for 72 hours.

If you can't get it to work call for Maintenance, they will come up and bypass it for you if you ask them to.

As an alternative, you can set the clock radio alarm for one hour from when you go to sleep, then just keep hitting the "snooze" button when it goes off, making sure that you thrash about thoroughly in doing so. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

On the thermostat, push the power button and the down arrow (button that adjusts the temp) at the exact same time. If you do this correctly, you will see the letters "bp" where the temp normally shows. You are now bypassing the sensors in the room. You can then set the temp to whatever you want and it keeps the room that cold whether you are in it or not. The maintenance man said that you might have to do this once a day as the thermostat tends to go back to sensor mode after 24 hours. We found that it stayed on bypass for a couple of days at a time. It was great to come back to a cold room or not wake up in the middle of the night in a sweat again. The CM that did this for us said it was not a problem doing this as they do it for people all the time.
