Can anyone tell me if there is free parking for disabled badge holders in orlando/theme parks? In most car parks in uk its free, this will be our first time in orlando.im not sure if disabled rules apply there.

Sorry no, you still have to pay.
You can get free valet parking at WDW hotels though.

Florida does respect foreign disabled placards.
You would be allowed to park in the blue parking spots. In some states placard holders are allowed free parking at parking meters but that is public areas only. There is no free parking for the disabled other than on street parking.
There is one very strict law that in Florida allows some free parking but it is for vans and wheelchair only and a long thing to get a free spot in the terminal building.

As was stated hotels and Downtown Disney offer free valet parking for disabled guests.

If you look on the uk planning board you will find a sticky about how to change your blue badge for a florida state disbled badge so that you can use it anywhere. I believe there is a small charge to apply but wehave decided not to bother - all the details are there so you can decide for yourself.

It is best for you to call them and find out for yourself.

Section 316.1958, F.S., provides for recognition of special license plates or parking permits for
persons who have disabilities which are issued by other states or districts which are subject to the
laws of the United States, or by a foreign country that issues disabled parking permits displaying
the international symbol of accessibility, provided the state, country or district grants reciprocal
recognition for disabled residents of this state. The section further provides that if an individual is
required by law to have a Florida driver’s license, a disabled parking placard or license plate from
another state or jurisdiction is not valid for parking in spaces reserved for persons with disabilities.
There is no such requirement for a Florida vehicle registration.

Sorry, disabled parking is not free at any of the theme parks. Valet service at the resorts that have valet is free for disabled permits, though. Parking is free at the theme paks if you stay at any of the Disney resorts. Just make sure your room reservation parking permit is displayed in your car window.

In the US, handicapped parking permits allow you to park in the handicapped parking area/spaces.
They are still allowed to charge the same rate as they are charging other customers. The WDW park parking lots do charge everyone except Annual Passholders and people staying at a WDW resort.

The UK Board thread that someone else linked to is a good resource with several places to contact. People usually post enough to it about their experiences that it's fairly up to date.

Sue M that was really helpful I will look at that
