Disability Pass Questions

My son is autistic, and we are going to WDW in February, so I had a few questions about the disability pass:
1. Do I need to show documentation to receive the pass?
2. Does the pass still get us to bypass the line since waiting is what he struggles with?
3. Does the pass count for just him and one adult? Or can the whole family use the pass?
4. Does the pass help with certain restaurants? For instance, he favors chicken and French fries. Could we use the pass at a restaurant that doesn't serve that to be able to get that food cooked for us.

Thanks so much!

DAS (disability access service) works sort of like a FP+. You'll need to stop at Guest Relations the first day; be prepared to explain why he has to avoid queues (not diagnosis but needs), and have the MBs of your whole party. They'll take a picture of your son. Then at the rides where you wish to use it, anyone in the party can approach the CM to request a "DAS return time" which will be approximately the standby time minus 10 minutes. When that time comes, or any time after, return and have your son scan first then you'll all (up to 6 total in party) enter the FP queue.

More about DAS is here (first post only, ignore the rest of that long thread): https://www.disboards.com/threads/w...15-digital-das-on-tickets-magicbands.3178976/

DAS is only for rides and attractions, not restaurants, transportation, resorts, parades, etc. If you have food preferences, speak with the server to see what can be done. If they have the food in the kitchen, they can probably do something for you. But I recommend checking menus before making your dining plans.

Thanks so much for your information!

Maybe make a list of places with chicken nuggets and French fries!

there are, in my opinion, at least 3 types of chicken nuggets on property (he’s gluten free) and one he absolutely will not eat.

we’ve never had issue with the chef not being able to find something to feed him, but I also carry his favorite snacks just in case! Twice we’ve had a manager go to another restaurant close by (literally the next one over or I would have felt horrible!) to grab nuggets from their freezer if we are doing a sit down restaurant!

what about breakfast?

He is not a breakfast eater other than fruit snacks, so that's something he can eat in the hotel before we go!

when planning meals remember he will most likely be charged at all you can eat meals even if he does not eat a thing

I will just make a list before we go of places that service chicken nuggets. I am sure I can find that on most kids' menus.
