TheDis loaded a video yesterday 8/25/17, showing a Toy Story box opening with a windup Slinky dog inside. The lid of the box said to watch for an announcement from Disney this Wednesday (8/30/17?). Could it be the announcement of the opening date?

I'm thinking it's probably going to be the opening date or there going to show off the slinky dog coaster trains.

Checked the rteetz thread re future openings & refurbs, says TSL is due for a possible Memorial Day 2018 opening. Announcing that next week seems a bit premature to me, but who knows?

Especially considering how far out they announced pandoras opening

I think more likely just show off the construction work to date and possibly the ride vehicle

They have finished the track and it's been noted that some theming pieces have already been installed (which seems to be earlier in the construction process than is typical for Disney) - so that makes gut have been in preparation for this

I'm leaning more to the ride vehicle, as Parks Blog released a video of the track completion a couple of weeks ago. And it was mentioned that they were expecting to receive the ride vehicles very soon. Saying that though, it seems a bit strange that Disney would send parcels to media just to say "look out for a construction update on Wednesday"...
