DIS Unplugged Anonymous - Friends of Pete W.

Hi my name is Dawn and I"m an addict. I've been a member of the DIS since 2002, mostly lurking when we're planning a trip. The podcast is another story, I've been addicted to it since February of 2007 and I haven't missed an episode yet and I read the podcast forum and check the blog daily :worship:

My Name is Bill L, and I also am a Dis Unplugged podcast & site addict. I became addicted just after I got an Ipod back in the spring of 08. I stumbled upon by accident. My foundest memories are some of John's hilarious one liners and responses, I find myself cracking up in my car, and I can only imagine what the others drivers are thinking seeing me!!! Thanks John and each and everyone of the panel!!!!

Hi my name is Michele and I admit to being "a friend of Pete W" for sometime now. Not sure exactly when I started listening, but probably just before the Anniversary show, sometime in August 2007. Found the podcast through a search for "Disney" on Itunes, downloaded it and have been a fan ever since. I have been listening to Disney podcasts since 2005, starting with Micecast (our local Disneyland podcast here in Calif.) and later, Mousetunes (RIP) and the Mousepod (RIP). BTW, I had never heard of the "Dis boards" until they were mentioned in the podcast. Its hard for me to find time to post at forums so I never joined. However, when Bob passed away, like everyone here who had come to know his voice a personality over the year(s) and felt like they lost a friend or family member, I came and joined the boards just to post my condolences. I haven't really posted much since then, but I am always listening to the podcasts and with you all in spirit.

My name is Jose Serrano from Norwalk Connecticut. In typical perfectionist style, I was doing some research for an upcoming WDW trip with my wife and son back in 2003 and when I came across this site, I remember commenting to my wife that it was so much more in-depth and better than the official WDW site!!! I have been going on ever since reading the news and catching up. At the time, I didn't know what the heck a podcast was so I didn't even try to listen. Then I got an iPod and I learned all about them and the rest is history. When you love WDW as we do, any way of staying in "touch" is really cool. This forum allows that and for that, I am so thankful. I will always support this website and the people that run it.

It's also worth noting that I expect the podcast like I expect my paycheck at the end of the week! When one is not put out on time, I worry as if I am going through a withdrawal! Great topic for a thread!

Jose

Hi, I'm Jamie - I too am a DIS Unplugged addict. My addiction started in mid-February of this year when I started planning our family vacation to WDW. I have a lengthy commute to work & the podcast actually makes me look foward to the drive! (Although I'm pretty sure the truckers driving beside me on the interstate wonder what I'm laughing at! :confused3 )

Hi! My name is Tressa and I'm a Podcast addict. :goodvibes I've been a loyal listener since sometime in September of last year. I have been a member of the boards since 2007, but didn't take a listen to the podcast until last year. I listened once, and the rest is history. ;)

Hi, my name is Shawna, and I am a DIS Unplugged addict and loving every second of it! (No interventions, please!) I started downloading the podcast a couple years ago, along with a couple other non-Disney podcasts. I was so busy that it took awhile before I started listening, but once I did.......I LOVED them! I don't spend much time on these boards because I'm so busy, but I am a very unhappy person when I can't enjoy the podcast on my commute. I also find myself totally cracking up driving down the road and wondering if the other drivers think I'm crazy! If I am.....it's a great feeling!

I must say that it's just not the same when you guys take a week off. Since I'm trying to cut down on spending every extra penny on WDW vacations (6 vacations since 2003, from Alaska!), I really do need every bit of Disney that I can get for free, so please support my efforts and quit taking time off!!! (he he, just kidding! (not really)

Love you guys!

Hi, I'm Ros and I'm a DIS Unplugged addict. I bought an iPod so I could watch video on cross country flights. Shortly thereafter I found the DIS Podcast, around January 2007. Been hooked ever since. Best company I've had on long flights, while rehabbing knee (for the umpteenth time). From sad little crab-cakes to Pete's rants and all the things in between.

Hello! My name is April (my daughters are Aurora and Lily) and I too am a DIS podcast addict. I started listening about 5 weeks ago, when I got my tax refund and was planning another trip back to Disney.:goodvibes

Now, I've loaded up my new IPod - that, yes, I bought to listen to the Dis podcast! - and listen all day at work. They think I'm nuts. I walk around and randomly burst into laughter in the middle of a very quiet office!

Thanks for all the podcasts and all the support on this board!

Hi, I am Nicole, and I am a Disney addict. I've been listening since December 2007 when I got my ipod. I used to only come to the boards when I was planning a trip. Now I rarely visit other boards besides the podcast board.

Hi, I'm Jeff, I am a DIS unplugged addict. It started while planning our May trip for this year back in Feb. Now I can't stop listining. I only wish I could find a way to get all the great info from the boards too. Theres so damn much, I can't keep track of it all. Had my first Dole Whip last week, it was great. Already dreaming about 2010.
