Dis Rules at VMK

I made an oops tonight, I mentioned Dis on VMK, while no one heard, I finally found one of you guys - Flowers.

So I did a search and I can't find anything.

If we can't talk about Dis on VMK, how do we know who each other are? I have tried to check the list, but by the time I try to check, the person is already gone. Is there an easier way?

I would rather play games with Dis-ers and Buy from Dis-ers. I just wanted to know and not break any rules -

Please Help.

Well, a bunch of us have Dis in our signatures.

Yeah you can mention Dis, but just don't do it in a way that refers to us as a group or a board. If you say something like, are you Dis? that seems to be ok. But once in front of Hula I said "wow this room is filled with Dis members" and she said not to talk about other websites on VMK.

Actually, "Are you Dis?" may sound too much like asking someone what their title is on another site. (I'm thinking of the automatic triggers VMK seems to have in response to certain words and phrases.)

You might try asking "Anyone here play Dis rules?" Indirect references seem to be safer than announcing that you're a member or asking someone else if they are.

As for trading with Dis members, you can easily arrange that by reading or posting in the VMK Trades and Wishes board.

Hi Leila -

You met me (Jegrezo) and hdmonkeybug tonight too. We were leaving Flower's room when you were there.

You have to be really careful with "dis" in vmk. As we tried to explain in game tonight, you must never give information to someone in vmk that allows someone to find you or contact you outside of vmk.

So - you sort of have to arrange to meet with ppl here, and then meet them in game. Once you find 1 of us - you usually find many. (Like today when you were with Flower and Monkey and I came in).

Also - as you are here more, you will learn people's titles and recognize them more when you see them.

the more you read the boards the more names you will remember in the game and just know by sight who is DIS and who isn't.

I am CL_DaraSue in VMK. If you need help, just find me. Some of my rooms are public, so if you search for my VMK name, you can find me. And, as has been said, when you find one of us, you usually find a herd!

If you need me and you see that I'm online here on DIS (little green light in lower left corner of any post that I've made), send me a PM and I'll meet you somewhere! I also have a lot of DISers on my friends list, and could probably hook you up with some for a DIS rules game of pirates!

During the work week, I am logged into DIS all day to monitor what's happening, but I cannot play VMK at work. For one, it's unethical, but the REAL reason is they block it! However, I can still find DISers for you to play with!

I've noticed, ive used dis in VMK wayyy too much and should have been banned if we were not allowed to talk about it. Maybe they are starting to let forums slide? But i think ill tone down how i use it
