I feel the same way; mid day shots are far more difficult for me.Once you get the hang of it, night shots are very easy. I think people tend to over estimate them simply because not many people take the time to use a tripod, remote shutter, etc. I find it much more difficult to get a good mid-day shot or a properly lit portrait shot. Maybe that's just me.
I have a lot of long shutter/low light shots, I just don't have any that I took this month, and I don't have time to get out the tripod and go shooting right now.Just a reminder:
There's about 10 days left in the month of August.
If you haven't gotten out with your tripod, GO NOW!
There was a very good response here, but would like to see SOME MORE, especially from those who need to push the envelope a little bit and come out of their comfort zones.
Let's see some more!![]()

Hopefully I'll get something post-worthy by this weekend in time for the deadline.
I know we're getting close to the end of the month---but I might actually be able to contribute! I haven't taken my tripod out since July because my Nikon infared remote really started to harsh my mellow.
Today, I received my new fancy pants cable release and am hoping this one performs better. AND, today also happens to be the day that I am meeting up with Karyl (spinetnglr) to borrow her 10.5 fisheye for a little while.Hopefully I'll get something post-worthy by this weekend in time for the deadline.
