DIS oldtimers (well newtimers too) where are you?

Hey MJ! Cairo's mommy checking in here!

Hey Dan!!!! I havn't talked to you in so long either. Hope everything with you and Marie is great!!!!!

I've been around a while but I only post 2 or 3 times a week.

I don't know what is considered "old" or "new", but I love all the info I've gotten from others on the DIS. We only go every other year, so I don't usually have too much info to share, but I love keeping up with what's going on in the "world".

I'm still here, Dan, doing more "lurking" than posting - really busy helping DD with Christopher (he's almost 18 months old already) and helping DS get ready for his wedding (October 14 - going to Disneymoon 10/18 to 10/21 at VWL, then leaving on DCL on 10/21 for 7-day western Carib cruise, then 10/28 at BWV, then home). Not much time for posting LOL!!!!! Hope you are doing well - maybe we'll see you at WDW some time in the future - DH and I and the whole crew will be there during Jersey Week, and again next May when DD takes her choir back for competition (usually around Memorial Day or weekend before). Hope we can get to see you!!!!!!! Fran

I guess I'm an "oldster" here. Mostly lurk now, do not post much.

I think I was actually #180 (approx) when the "New" DIS began.

Mostly using the DIS to try & find info out about DLP (which we may visit next year).

It's still fun, but not the "intimate" place it was back on the old "threads" board.

As my kids would say "Back in the Day..........................." :)

Ok i consider myself and "old - timer" Since I have used/lurked here for about 10 years. I completely forgot my old name & password so had to start over <sigh>

Love the info I gleam here and listening to other folks stories :goodvibes

Hi all

Not a Newbie, but havent been posting lots lately and only sticking to a few boards. Been keeping plenty busy though :)

before I joined, is my best answer. :thumbsup2 I know there's a date tho. Someone here will know. ;)

Wow! Old thread still hanging on!

Hi! I'm not an Oldtimer, but I'm not really a newbie either.
I usually spend most of my time on DIS on the VMK boards, but occasionally crash the CB. :teeth:

:hyper2: ..... I have always wanted to use that smilie!

Anyway, I guess I am on the upside of middle aged around these boards. I haven't really fit in on any particular board so I am a floater.

I have always been envyous of those that have formed friendships here on the Community Board. I think it would be neat for me to post on any of these boards and people know who I am. I'll keep trying though. Maybe on by my 10th Anniversary here someone will know me :thumbsup2

Hello!! Good thread which I've only just discovered :cool1: Can't believe I recognise so many of the names of posters on here, certainly brought back some old memories :sunny:

I suppose I'm a sort of old time too! Think I joined first in 1999 but then got in a pickle with my user name/password so re-registered in 2000 (I think - will have to check when I've posted this!!).

I lurk a lot these days, used to post a lot more on here and the UK Boards but now just catch up on the odd post when I've got the time.

Thanks for starting this Dan :thumbsup2

Big HELLO to all those who may recognise my name

Hi Dan & all! :cheer2:

I guess I would consider myself an old timer because I can remember the DIS when Pete used to post regularly, and there was only one or possibly two boards. The moderators job was to keep everyone ON TOPIC, and from that eventually the Community Board was born.

I remember the Corn People story, and someone's duck story as some of the classics from the past.

As you can tell I'm mostly a lurker, but it's a fun ride!! :happytv:

Hi all! This is the best forum, w/the best people! I love learning new stuff from here every day! :cheer2:

I started using this site in August 1999 and got some WONDERFUL tips to save bundles of cash. Like got half off the what was then the brand spanking new Holiday inn Family suites -- with the room that had themed kids suites. Shoulda seen guys face who was checking out same time as us when we slid coupon across the counter that gave us, 1st a cheaper rate by about $20 per nite and then every other night for FREE! 'cause of that we were able to spend 4 nights on site as well. :cool1:

HOWEVER you will notice my join date as being this June or July because darned if I could remember screen name or password. :rotfl2: I am gonna stick it in my important file this time just incase I slip from view again between these two visits :thumbsup2

I am an old timer. Didn't leave for any specific reason other than life got too busy after our DS was born in 2003! I will try to make my visits more frequent. I do miss this place!
