Dis Old Fogies Clubhouse – Six of One, Half Dozen of the Other. Makes No Difference!

....My last manager was super old school. A month ago, we had a one on one meeting. He told me I was frustrating and I should do what I'm told to do. Um........all I was doing was calling out an issue that he created and the two-up manager agreed with me. That was the trigger for me....
...wow... :sad2:

I'm glad you found a new job easily PIO! You all have been very locked down. So Cal has been closer to normal since April (when Disney opened). Our retail businesses barely closed, they just didn't let customers inside of smaller locations.

We have plans to drive to my parents over Christmas. And I have a plan to stay at the Grand Californian in January. I really hope that our trip to WDW in February will come through. I fear that our cruise in March will be postponed (meaning we move our deposit to another sailing.) Fran is not comfortable getting on a ship right now. We've both had our 3rd shots. Mine was yesterday and I'm waking up with a sore arm and a headache. I also drank a ton of water overnight.

I'm envious of your Aulani trip Angela, I was planning a similar trip where we would stay in Hilo to see the Volcano. It would have been in Sept. 2020 and we all know how that year went. 🙄

Every year my DS's job has an incentive trip [this year was Lake Tahoe] and next year it'll be in Hawaii - he's DVC, so he wants to coordinate a couple of extra days there, at Aulani, beings it is such a long distance from here on the East coast...

We threw added the 2 nights in Volcano at the last minute since we were flying SWA it was easy to change our flight. You'll have to plan yours again sometime. This trip finally has most of our timeshares used up so we'll be back to every other year again after our January 2022 trip.

Nice incentive trips your DS gets. I agree add Aulani to make the long flight worth it. Even from the West coast I prefer the longer trips to Hawaii.

...especially since it's only a 4-day trip.

My travel funds have turned into home improvements. So far, we've put in new light fittings, new fence and automatic electric gate, fixed up our old sash windows, put in new curtains and re-stumped my 87 year old house.

DH wants to put in another cat-net area so I'm looking into that as well. i'm having a conversation with the company that did our first catnet area in 10 days time.
I'd also like to put in an extra storage room in the attic. I'll probably call up a few places and make enquiries next week,

The next things are the big ticket items. The kitchen and bathrooms need to be remodelled. That's probably next year's jobs.

It's amazing how much we can get done around the house when we aren't pushing the funds into travel! :P

You've been busy around your place PIO, sounds like you've made some great improvements over the past year and a half.

Our house definitely suffers when we travel often, especially our flowers.

Sadly, they are changes that not many people would notice. :(

Wishing all of the fogies a Healthy, peaceful and prosperous New Year in 2022.

Alison did you make it back South yet? Were you driving or flying?

We were driving and we we made it home before the second round of storms hit So Cal.
