The past 8 days, he has has slightly elevated temps throughout a 24 hour period - 99.5 - 100.3. No big deal, as he runs warmer, so started him on Aerius, and still not sure if it's helping?

Last night, he fevered to 102.6 in the middle of the night, for no apparent reason. He has no other symptoms, besides a crumbly cough. We checked his ears (we have a scope), and they seem fine. We listened to chest, and no wheezing, so we haven't started him on his puffers. No diarrhea, no hives/rash, and no other symptoms besides clear fluid from nose and itchy eyes.

We are taking to pediatrician today, as we are baffled. I will say this kid fevers to 106.3, several times in his life, so he can handle very high temps, so we do daily temp checks when he is stuffy or cold season as you don't know he's sicke. He gets warm/low grade like I have my whole life, when we have colds/allergies. Last night 102 only lasted for a few hours (no meds), and he was back to normal temps! This is what we've been experiencing on and off for days now, but not as high as 102.

He is functioning as per normal: school, church, playing outside every day, huge appetite!

Anyone have any idea what this could be? Thanks, Tiger

Hmmmmmm I don't know. Could be a virus maybe? Not sure if allergies can cause a fever. Can he go to school with a fever?

Let us know what the doctor says.

No fever at all, as it went away hours ago. He is home today with hubby as he spent most of night coughing.

Thanks!

Sinus infection? My son gets these from his allergies all the time. Cough from mucus draining, but no stuffy nose. It's all behind the eyes.

Update - throat is really red, and he started draining yellowish fluid today from nose and eyes, so combination of several things.

Doc gave him Biaxin, as he has major ear issues, with asthma, so we need to handle those issues as soon as possible.

Hopefully, that clears it up, and prohibits any worse issues with his ears.

Thanks, Tiger
