Dis Network of rivers???

This ride is great! Many thanks to all who have joined the "river" for a wonderful job.

Someone I know needs to get to work on a room or two. I will speak to her later today and put her to work.

LOL, this is me too! I am so busy investigating the new areas and working on my Christmas gifting, etc., that I kinda put the 'building to join river' on hold for a bit.

Everyone involved so far, what a wonderful job!! I have taken the ride so many times now, and enjoyed bringing more and more DIS and other friends to try it! THE DIS ROCKS!

CapeCAD and I each have a river room that we'd like to link in with!! (Mine is lame, but I just built it quickly this morning. LOL)

I rode the DIS River Ride this morning and that's what inspired me to create my own room.

You can join in anywhere - just find someone who is around and then switch start teleporters with them (assuming that your rooms loop the way you want). If you want to join in right away, I can come online and hook you in.

Ok, I have added my 5th room. it fits into the loop! Kinda thrown together, but it's called Dis Ride: Scary Part or something. Question: I noticed a lot of ppl like Cazalet and Moussedude have their names in the room title...but it won't let me type Miakoda in mine! Anyone know what the deal is with that?

It never let's me or CapeCAD type our names in either. For mine, I type in Cape Girl, and for his he types in Cape Dude. I'm wondering why some people can type theirs in, too!

Any new rooms, for now anyway, can't have a character name in them.

My Splash Room has my name in it. Maybe it's just the riverboat rooms?

i'm with husky on this one. All the room titles with my name in it were created long before the changes to vmk were just made. I tried to name a bayou room and a river boat room with my name in it (as well as other older room types) and it doesnt let me anymore either.

Excellent job, all you people, with the River Network! If I only had time (and imagination), I'd love to join in... I've shown other people to it, and they are amazed.

I'd like to repeat a request though: please, please make it so that the it is possible to re-enter the river if you get booted to the room entrance.

Those of us with slow computers / slow connections tend to get booted off the river, to the room entrance. It's a bummer if you can't get back on the river to see the rest of the rooms

Well I have not been able to get on since Tuesday, and I can not wait to check out all the rooms that have been added! I really want to get in there and finish decorating my christams in space room! I am sorry it is kind of lame right now, but I am trying to get a christmas tree to put in there! I am pretty sure my hippo room is ok though!

Oh and for all of you that have two or more charachters on at the same time please log some of them off so the rest of us can get in? LOL I know that is probably not the problem but I do not know what to do at this point.

Anyone know if this is a permanent change, or a glitch? I can't even type my name in the chat box. Some other ppls names I can type, and some I can't. I couldn't type the name of a friend who was in the room, but I was able to say the name of a non-friend in a host game room. Weird. I want my name to be on the room title so everyone will know I made it. I know that I'm probably the only one that clicks the "I" in the rooms to see who made them if their name is not in the title!

You know what? We should start timing how long it takes to ride the full circuit (without falling off and starting again) and keep the times updated here in a post. We can see how it takes longer and longer and longer to ride it! It seems every time I ride, there are at least 3 new rooms! I showed Empare tonight and she loved it. I will make her get cracking on her ride, and CoughCoolGhoul has already completed a 2-room ride. I think he may plan to do more before joining the network.

So, next time I ride I will see how long it takes! I don't own a stopwatch for counting seconds though, so maybe someone that does can be the official timekeeper? It will be fun to see the length of ride change as more and more people join (just think....the river stuff has only been around for 4 vmk days!) It's already longer than some real disney rides, and in a week it could take an hour to complete!

I think I'm going to make another ride that is not going to be connected to the network. It's gonna be awesome...I've already bought over 150 crates!

Woot, woot, CL_RealLabGirl just traded me a transporter before the close of VMK tonight and I got it placed with just 3 minutes left to spare before closing. My last room - my Christmas room connects to her Splash Room.

It's really a small miracle to get it in place at all. This week has been so crazy for me. I'm not nearly as busy as I was this week. I spent all my spare credits on Christmas goodies thinking that was the important part this week, but then when y'all come up with the river network I wanted in so badly. I've made a lot of mules this week for the river parts, and spent the last couple of days laying the parts in between Christmas shopping, a couple of classes, a couple of holiday parties, decorating the house.....

I have 6 rooms on the network. The first five were done already I just had to add the river tracts and rearrange a few things. The last room my Christmas room is still very raw in design. But I just had to get on the river network tonight or bust! I'm planning to redo the Christmas Room to something more fancy after our............

We are going Friday if it is not raining or Sunday if it rains on Friday. It's just a day trip we'll be coming home that night.

I went out and found an online stopwatch this week because I wanted to time how long it took to make a mule and have him trade with me. ~Weird, I know~ But someone said it only took them 10 minutes and I'm thinking how the heck can that be? It seemed like it was taking me forever.
