I made a couple of magnets to put on our car for the trip down.You can get ink jet magnet sheets in the computer paper/label isle at your local WallyMart (at least at mine). Telynn made the great stick figure family for me over on the DISign board.

Here are the Mickey heads that I made. I am by no means as talented as the DISigners, but it was a simple one. Use whichever one you need. Just copy them and print them out on the special magnet sheets.

The ink jet magnet sheets are Avery 3270. I think I paid about $7 at Walmart for a pack of 5 sheets (but don't quote me on that). Or check ebay, everything is on there. Great minds think alike! I did the same thing for our car - just the LGMH with my screen name on it.

DH is not too thrilled about the idean but I figure I throw it on the back right before we leave - it'll be hours before he figures it out!

We should come up with a special honk for other DISers to do when the see the magnets on cars!

Your family one actually makes me nervous - do I now know your kids' names? Maybe you want to edit that here! If it's on your car, couldn't anyone figure out the area where you live, etc? It just seems like TMI, but maybe I'm just on edge because we found out someone has been calling homes in our town, pretending to be part of the Big Brother/Big Sister organization, but it's really a scam to find out about when you are home or not. They called us twice - and knew I had kids! Very scary! So, when proud parents put those decals on their cars with the kids' soccer number and name, I think they've just made it a bit easier for a predator.

It's only on there for the trip down to Disney so I'm not really sure what someone can do with your kids names while riding around in a car. Obviously, anyone can see that I have kids. They don't know our last name nor where we live (except perhaps the state so that would be quite a hunt).

As parents we certainly all try to keep our kids safe so I appreciate the concern. Everyone has their own idea of what may be risky and, for me, I think this is okay.

Quick question- when it rains doesn't the paper on the magnet get ruined?

It's not really paper. The magnet sheet has a plastic-like front. I'm not sure how it holds up in the weather . It's just for the trip, though, so if it gets ruined it's not like I put a ton of money into it.
