DIS Ladies Only Trip 2007 WISH!

I also stopped at the mall today and looked wistfully that clothes that don't fit me. I hope by November. :goodvibes

That is a great motivator Kat!:goodvibes

Well my victory for the day was when the kids came home from school, they wanted to watch a movie, so I made them popcorn (the yummy, movie theater butter kind) but I did not have any, I had a banana instead. I shocked myself!

My kids had that tonight too, Jenna. I had a couple pieces. But literally just a couple. I'm o.k. with that.

I'm home alone now and I am kind of hungry so I am thinking about food. I think I will just tough it out and let the zamboni do it's work. :thumbsup2

Hi ladies! Stay strong, Kelly! Good job forgoing the popcorn Jenna and Kat.

Beth, thanks for reminding me that a slip does not have to turn into a train wreck!

I went to the fish fry at my son's school tonight and one of the other moms who I have not seen in a while told me it looked like I lost weight! I then proceeded to have french fries and a fried fish sandwich. But I skipped dessert! Okay...I have never been much of a dessert eater.

But it doesn't have to turn into a train wreck, Christine.

I wish I wasn't much of a dessert eater too. :guilty:

I will be out today but I will see you girls tomorrow. Good luck with today. Saturday's are hard for me. Usually a lazy day and prone to snacking. Of course that won't be the case today, there will be other issues with today, but I know how tough the weekend can be.

Good morning WISHers :goodvibes

I made it through last night without eating. It helps that I was able to just crawl in bed and go to sleep. I've never been much for snacking in bed so that is my safe place. I am going to turn into a sleepaholic until I meet my goal :thumbsup2

It's very weird that when I go to bed hungry, I don't wake up hungry but when I go to bed full, I wake up starving :confused3

Fish frys don't happen all that often so you'll be ok... I hope you enjoyed your indulgence and now you can get back on track :thumbsup2

Yes Kat, you will have some challenges this weekend but go ahead and enjoy your pasta and your cocktails - it's a celebration. When you get back home, you can get right back to healthy eating. We'll be here to help you do that :goodvibes

I have been thinking a lot about this... in the past when I have been doing really well with weight loss and then I travel, I of course give myself permission to go all out while I'm away but I always fall off the wagon, so to speak, when I get home. I need to figure out a plan for any travelling I do in the future so that I don't give up when I get back.
Do you think it better to limit yourself while on vacation or maybe just loosen the strings a little, like having desserts at a couple dinners, etc or is it better just to let yourself go, eat everything you want and pay the price later....

I am bored. :bored: When I am bored I think about food. I wish my job kept me busier so I could forget about food.

I eat on weekends. Even worse, I drink on weekends. I have made a cheese and bread plate. Manchego and brie cheese, peppadew (they are sweet/spicy South African peppers, have had them at Jiko and in New York, just found out i could buy them at Whole Foods), rustic pane bread. The cheese and the bread are not good.

I had turkey and brie panini for lunch. But I'm having wine.

That's to drown my sorrows that I am not at WDW, but I will be next weekend. Going to fish restaurants though.

Think instead of what you want to buy on your new shopping spree and what cool stores you want to shop at that you can't now. :thumbsup2

Week-ends are tough for everyone I think.

I did okay at the mall today. Instead of pizza or something like that, I got a Subway sandwich with no mayo or cheese and lots of veggies. :thumbsup2

Not so sure how tonite will be though since I am heading back into town with my mom.

I'm home from work and DH is getting pizza for supper :worried:

That's great that you got a sub Beth... that's what I ended up getting for lunch today too. It was good but I am hungry again and I only ate it at 2:00

Don't be bummed Kelly. You can do this. There will be many more week-ends and many more pizzas. lol The key is learning to deal with it.

If you want a slice, have one!! One slice will not kill you. If it's large then cut it in half. Take off any meat toppings so it's just cheese, blot the oil off the cheese with a paper towel. And eat it slowly.

Don't do what I do and wolf it down in three bites. :sad2:
Savor it, enjoy it. Maybe even put it on a fancy plate and eat it with a fork and knife. Make it last. And then have a side salad and some water on the side. It will be fine.

As for being hungry often, I am the same way. I think in my case it will take time for me to get used to not eating all the freaking time!! Cause that's what I would do. Literally. I would always be snacking on something. Even if it wasn't "junk" I was still putting something in my mouth.

Drink lots of water and you will get used to it. :)

The weekends are always tough. We had mexican food tonight, but I had chicken fajita meat, on corn tortillas (instead of flour), and just a drop of cheese on them, so not too bad.

I tend to snack a lot on the weekends, but so far so good!:thumbsup2

Keep up the good work ladies, it will be worth it in the end! :yay: :yay:

Sounds like everyone is doing well--or at least better then this time last weekend!

I spent the day at my church cooking food for the men's retreat weekend. I was good until the men left the dining room after lunch and the kitchen crew sat down to eat. I think I ate continuously from that time until I left at 9:15! Subs for lunch taco bar for dinner...Just one big food fest...:sad2: I have to be back at 6AM to do breakfast. I will likely stay through lunch. There is just so much food on those weekends!

First, that is so great that you give your time that way! Second, it is always hard when you are in a large group and food is around. :sad2: Maybe you can get in some exercise to offset what you ate? If not, just know that tomorrow is a new day, and I am sure that you will do better!:thumbsup2

For me, I know that we tend to eat out dinner on Fri and Sat night, so I made sure that during the day, I was extra good to help make up for splurging alittle that night.

Hello

Where is everyone today?

I gave in to the pizza last night. I had 2 pieces but I think I managed to just barely over on my WW points by about 2 or 3 which fits in with my flex points for the week. I was very good later when I was offered ice cream at Cassie's skating carnival and then even better later when Scott made nachos as a late night snack. :thumbsup2 So all in all, 2 pieces of pizza isn't bad.

Not going to do well because I will be eating rice noodles all week.

Well then you did just fine! Ice cream and nachos are not easy things to say no to, so good job Kelly!!:cheer2:

I don't know what rice noodles are, I guess, but how bad can they be? I am sure you'll do fine. Anything in moderation.... :)

This week-end had been a little tough for me, actually this whole thing has. But, I am okay with whatever the scale says on Tuesday since I realize that I cannot change many years worth of bad habits in just 7 days.

But I am trying and doing better than I had been, so that's the important thing. And even more important is no matter what the scale says I will be sticking with it. :thumbsup2

Checking in everyone.

As far as eating on vacation and getting back one when you get home, that's how I do it. Vacations don't send me over the edge on my eating. Emotions do. I know I won't eat the way I will on vacation when I get home so I allow myself that luxury. I know it doesn't work that way for everyone but it goes o.k. for me. Also, with all that walking you do at WDW, it really counteracts alot of it.
