Hey! This month we celebrate Earth Day on the 22nd. In honor of that, I'm proposing a little challenge for our Dis Kids under the age of 18, who have been a member of the Dis since January '08, to design a room that depicts what Earth Day means to you! You can use any room, any items. You won't be judged on rarity!!! You will be judged on creativity and how well your room is themed to Earth Day and going 'green'. Get creative! There are a bazillion ways we can all save the Earth, show us with your rooms!
Prizes. Lots of prizes!! Reduce, Reuse, Recycle means the top FIVE winners will receive 20 item prize packs of randomly chosen prizes to Reduce my inventory, Reuse what once was new and Recycle to save the planet! Woohoo! Why random prizes? Because it's also Topsy-Turvy Month in VMK! You won't get to choose which prizes, if any, you can win. That is my decision to make, but I will give you a glimpse at 'some' of the lovely prizes that may be included in those prize packs. If you don't like the prizes you see, please refrain from joining this contest. Problem solved.
Rules. I don't have many rules. Most important is that you must be a registered Disboards member since January 01, 2008 and be UNDER 18 years of age. Parents can enter for their children who don't have accounts, I will make that one exception to this rule, but said parents must be registered members since January 01, 2008. Also, please let your children build their own rooms with their own items.
Post your request to enter this contest below before Sunday, April 13, 2008. The sooner your entry is approved, the sooner you can start designing and building your rooms, but make sure you check back to this first post to see if your name is on the list! Please register with your Dis name, not your VMK name.
Rooms must be completed and pm'ed to me by close of vmk, April 22, 2008. Judging may take a week or so, but I hope to award prizes by April 30, 2008. Build your room, take a screen shot, crop it...please! Send that cropped screen shot to me via Disboards private messaging. Room descriptions are allowed, but please make sure your Dis/VMK name is not displayed. Please edit your pictures to remove that before sending them to me.
Don't stress! This contest is for FUN! The prizes may include some more rare items, but may not. Don't get your hopes up for anything specific!
