The Holiday Delights tour that was mentioned on the podcast shows you the major night time Holiday events in the Parks where the Yuletide Fantasy tours are a daytime event. You will attend the Castle Lighting at MK, the Osbourne Lights at Studios, and Candle Light at Epcot.

You will also go behind the scenes to learn about each event. The tour is in a testing mode this season so there is very limited space.

OK.. Silly question Kathy... The link says you meet at 8:45 am and it is a 4 1/2 hour tour. how can that be possiable if everything you are seeing is at night?

You must not be looking at the right tour. It has new in front of it. There is no start time listed.

I was looking in the wrong column

New- Holiday D-Lights Tour 11/30-12/16/2009

I am not trying to be a pest.. I promise... with all of the information this site has to offer a typo or two is not the end of the world.

I am sorry

Just booked the Holiday Delights Tour for Dec 2. The guest relations booking agent could not tell me much more about it but you can cancel up to 3 days prior so maybe more will be posted. The tour departs Epcot at 5pm and is 4.5 hours. (arrive at 4:45pm). From what they told me on the phone the Candlelight Processional is first, then Magic Kingdom, then DHS. Got 15% discount with the annual pass and she said I would not get a AAA discount unless I was on a AA vacation. Total price for 3 with discount was $304. Have to decided if this will really be worth that cost. Perhaps for that price they let you ring bells in the orchestra at the Candlelight Processional.

Wow - even with a 15% discount that seems too low for 3 people [of course, only with a Disney tour would I ever be able to say that with a straight face:goodvibes] I thought it was $175. per person. Is one of the participants a child?

I would love, love to do this tour when I come down solo in December, but I just can't justify that kind of moola. :guilty:

jennselke - Please let us know all about it when you get back home. We're doing the daytime one on 12/6.

I want to do one of these holiday tours soooo bad. If anyone goes, please let us know how you liked it! Even better, can I nominate Kathy to do one of the tours and report back on the podcast??

colaboy29, thank you for posting about this tour. We are now signed up for 12/2!

Adding to the information provided by jennselke. Each tour is limited to 40 people. Used Disney Visa for payment and received a 20% discount.

I booked 12/7 today and received 20% discount too using my Disney Visa :santa:

Don't mean to bump such an old thread, but I just saw this tour will be available when we are in Disney. Anyone have any feedback that went on the tour?

Thanks!

We went in Dec and loved it as did everyone on the tour that night. You basically see what anyone can see but you could never see it all in one night unless you were on the tour. The best stage part is very limited. We did go into the one of the holiday decoration warhouses and of course your driving backstage, enter into attractions from backstage etc. We were only down for 4 nights and felt it was worth the money so we could fit in all there was to do.

You also hear a lot of Disney trivia which we love. The tour gide was excellent. You get a limited edition pin too. The seating for the holiday show in Epcot was quite far back but we were still happy. After the Osborne lights you get to have sugar cookies and hot chocolate. The had it set up so you could add marshmallows and candy canes to your hot chocolate if you want. Lots of special little touches.

sorry this is a rambling response-been that kind of day.

You're not rambling at all, thank you for the great info. We have never been to Disney during Christmas, so pardon my ignorance if I am way off with my questions.

  1. How many people are in a group?
  2. Is there a special viewing area for Osborne Lights?
  3. You mentioned attractions, do you go on rides during the tour?
  4. How does this tour save you so much time?
  5. I assume you're on a Friendship from Epcot to DHS, but what about to MK?

Sorry for so many questions, but this December trip seems like a whole new adventure for us.

Thanks again.
