Well tonight I will see if my hard work has paid off! I have been to the gym 4 times and spent all of Sunday Gardening! And I mean serious gardening!! I ache a lot today which I guess is a good thing! May have to give the gym a miss for a couple of days and just swim instead, get my muscles stretched again!

I have tried this week to eat healthily. I did succumb to a McDonalds on Tuesday, but hopefully I have worked that off by now! I need to lose 1.5lbs this week and then I will be a gold member, I will be disappointed if I don’t make it but at the end of the day any weight loss is good!

What I was going to ask people to do today is type up a rough guide of what you have eaten in a week to lose weight, or any recipes that you have found useful.

Here is mine
Strawberry pink fizz jellies!! Yummy trust me!

Points value per serving 1.5
Servings 6
Prep time 15 mins

You will need
100ml boiling water
2 sachets gelatine
3 tablespoons artificial sweetener
425ml Grape Juice
425ml pink sparkling wine
175g strawberries halved

1. Pour the boiling water into a very large jug and sprinkle in both sachets of gelatine, stirring to disperse. Stand for a few minutes stirring occasionally.
2. Stir in the sweetener, slowly stir in the red grape juice, and then the wine.
3. Share out the strawberries between 6 glasses, pour in the jelly mixture. Transfer to the fridge and chill for 2-3 hours until the jelly sets.

YUM YUM!!!

I started my diet last Monday, and this morning I found that I had lost 3lb, I haven't done any exercise (yet!!), and all I have done is cut out chocolate, biscuits and crisps.

Hopefully I'll start an exercise video soon.

Good luck everyone else

I am a little dissapointed as I had stayed the same this week.:( I thought that with all the gymming I had been doing that I would have at least lost half a pound. My WW leader says that it may catch up with me next week tho and I should lose. I hope so!

But Gems,

It may be that you are building muscle tone and getting fitter / slimmer but it just doesn't show on the scales. If you are going to the gym this much it must be having a good impact on your health / fitness / weight etc.

Well done Mandy!

As for me - I have still been good. Even resisited a yumtastic looking chicken and cheese bakey thing at the pub on Saturday and had the low fat pasta option instead!

What a great idea to post recipes. My favourite book for low fat cooking is Sue Kreitzman and she does a good low fat Veggie book too.

My favorite recipe from her book is Grilled Vegetable Lasagne If anyone would like me to post the recipe I will :)

Went to Doctors today, about an on-going headache that I've had for a few weeks - and guess what ? I've got to give up chocolate !!!! It's different when you choose to stop eating it, but it's no fun being told NOT to eat it.

:scared1: Mandy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shall we form a support grpoup for you?? Does the doctor think it's definitely that or is it maybe a case of trying to eliminate various things and the start of that is choc??

:scared1: No Miffy, the Doctor has said to cut out cheese and chocolate, and as I don't eat cheese (except on Big Macs) then the chocolate has to go !!!

when I was about 17 and started to take the pill I kept getting bad migraines, the doctor told me that I couldn't eat chocolate cheese and red wine!! Apparently these can all be "trigger foods" I only gave up on the red wine ---- well to be honest I don't drink :teeth: but it sounds like I made an effort!!!! ha ha

When I cam off the pill last year my migraines went completely so I am convinced that it was all the hormones floating around in my body. ::yes::

Well, i lost 1lb this week!
i can't believe how slowly its coming off..
I'll be 90yrs old by the time i get to my goal

At least you are still losing though Netty :) well done!

Gem - you will do it next week :)

Mandymouse - fabulous what a great start:)

Netty - Well done on your 1pd :)

Karen - Well done for being good :) Can you post the receipe for me?

No weigh-in for me this week - I was on holiday. I was also very naughty!!!! I did swim for 3 day's (no not literally for 3 day's ;) ) and we cycled 18 miles yesterday and boy to I have a sore backside LOL:) A few too many milkshakes and other goodies I think!

My favourite treat is.....Sin-Free Chip's.

Chop your potatoes in to Chips. Lay then on a plate and cover with kitchen roll. Pop in the microwave for 4 min's. Then put them in a bowl and spray them with Fry Light :) Lay them on a try with foil and frylight on. Then pop in the oven for 20 min's.

Yummy Chips :)
