Thankfully matt managed to get time off work, if not i could of come Friday night/sat morning.

Friday would not be an issue. I finish at 15:30 on an early shift and I could take my lunch at the end of the shift and disappear at 15:00. I work a 10 to 15 minute taxi ride away from Manchester airport and there is a 16:50 flight from Manchester to Southampton. So that would not be an issue. I would just need to swap either Saturday or Sunday and then I could use the lieu day for the other day.

That sounds like it could work - so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, Corinna!

I'm going to see if I can come- just need to check out transportation.

no i havent, not too fussed if i dont. Im a light sleeper and dont function well with lack of sleep.... though i dont mind sharing.

Just wanted to say thanks for the kind words and the welcome

Never mind Blackpool have any of you been to LIVERPOOL?????

There are shops galore (Primark is on 4 floors!!!!) as well as lots of "Posher" shops

There are also loads of other great stuff for the people who are not shoppers, museums, art galleries, etc etc you can even take the "Ferry across the Mersey" as well as loads of great pubs, restaurants etc.

They also have good travel links

Its just of suggestion though for the next DIS Girly Meet

I think we are def going to need name badges for the first night!

I wonder if the hotel does connecting rooms, I think we are going to need one as we aren't all going to fit in one for our pre-dinner drinks!

we're off to Liverpool in August, going to view Evertons and Liverpools footie grounds. Im sure we'll do shopping and tour the sites too.
