also I received many entries today, I didnt reply to most, I just wanted to save them so its all set. we have plenty of time for judging and tomorrow I will mark all entries I have for you review. I will also update the list so you know I saw it

I am sorry for cutting it so close to the deadline. Would it be ok by chance for me to join in on the fun?. I have been on a vmk break the last few weeks...with the winter break commning in I was just to swamped I had ceramic projects to finish up before the break and finals to study for that I missed out on the Vmk Gingerbread contest Then I finally made my way over here today and see that our lovely Aengus made us a contest! . Your so awesome Aengus..we will just have to keep you around hehe. I am glad I missed the vmk one because I much rather my house be seen by friends. I will send you the pic in a bit. I only had few pieces down before I took my break and I picked back up yesterday working on it so I am going to finish it up before sending the pic in.
I wish everyone the best of luck!! . I can't wait to see everyones beautiful masterpieces.

I have received many entries but I dont believe all of them. Hurry there is not much time left people!!

Dont want to leave people behind, but its still a contest and have to be fair to those who did what they were supposed to.

I will be upating the lists tomorrow morning, sorry with the holidays and all I have been slacking today and yesterday.

OK If you have not sent in your picture at this point, I am afraid it's too late now to do so. Sorry about that, to stay fair we have to do this.

Now that we move on to phase 2, I can mention that a few DISers have already made prize donations that are nothing less than spectacular! I would like to thank them for helping out, it is amazing the generousity shown and it was touching to see so many wanting to help those who did not make the official contest have a great experience as well. Even an inferno is in the mix!

I hope to in the near future open a room where we can schedule times to have other people drop off some donations for the contest also.

Also, if you sent in an entry you are already a winner. Everyone will receive a participation prize, as long as you made that one step!! Woot!!!

ETA: I have updated page 1 to reflect who sent in a registration. If your name has an asterisk it means I have your entry. If it doesnt then you either didn't send it in or I missed it somehow. I have not deleted any PM's since the contest started so if you see a mistake speak now. I can go back and double check and fix it if need be

I am going to give a couple days for the contestants to check and be sure I made no mistake. Then the judges will begin their judging and the winners will be announced on January 14th.

yes you sure can enter If taz can't help you maybe I can later.

You can also take your own screenshots if you can figure it out by using things that are just on your computer.

go to your room, hit the print screen button

load up paint. hit paste.

click the square (select tool)

drag the square to just your vmk window (the parts you want to post)

go to the image menu and select crop

now just save the file on your computer

go to an image posting site, for instance www.imageshack.us

and upload your picture and copy the link they provide.

It is simple once you have done it a few times

It's too late for me to send the picture but thanks for offering to help me and for telling me how to take screenshots. But I think my sister deleted Paint, will doing this work in the animation shop?

it should work in there the difference will be in the last couple of steps. You need to find the crop tool in there. Thats what you will use to edit the picture to be just your vmk screen and not your entire desktop.

a couple things first. I want you all to know, everyone will get a prize, and the 3 best from each category will get a grand prize


Those not in the contest, after New Years, you will see your opportunity to donate prizes to the contest if you wish to. No pressure. I will create a post at that time, and myself & disvaclub92 will have some posted times to sit in a room and wait for you to come visit with prize donations.
