DIS Gingerbread House contest winners!
Congrats to everyone who participated and everyone wins thanks to the generousity of our fellow DIS peeps!
Everyone gets a participation prize!!!!! Not only that... Yes there is more! We got so many prizes we are awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes to EACH category instead of the intended 1 winner per category!!! double WOOT!
So for that lets start with a thank you to the judges and all who donated to make this possible. The response was better than I expected, and I had big expectations knowing how generous you all are

A little info how this all worked out. No Webmasters or moderators participated in any judging. All judges were members who reached out to me first and none were appointed. I gave the judges very limited instruction on how to judge and I came up with a scoring system which I will share with you all.
I decided on 7 judges (first 7 volunteers).The judges were told to judge in 3 categories
They were told to interpret those categories in any manner they wished. They were further instructed to give me their top 5 in each category. The pictures given to them were renamed from what was given me and each contestent was assigned a number and each picture was titled with that number.
Thank you judges for your work
I then took their results and put them in a matrix. I assigned points to each place 1 - 5. each first place vote from a judge got 5 points, down to each 5th place vote got 1 point. I could then add up the total points each room got in votes to decide a winner.
