Annie - it was cold here last night..69!! BRRRRRR!!!!

We are supposed to maybe warm up to about 68/69 for our high's tomorrow!


I saw that wedding video on Ellen last week. that was funny. i don't think it was staged - the guy looked like a total klutz.


my power just blipped. i was in the middle of inputting my TS orders from yesterday. Grrrr. So frustrating. That happens here a lot for some reason. Have to re-set all the clocks etc.


I think I shall finish the orders later...need to take the checks to the bank...and run my other errands....

Well, this day sucks. I just went to go run my errands and my truck won't start. I apparently left an interior light on in it since we got back from that wedding on Saturday. So I had to call DH to come home & jump me. (settle down there Phyllis!)

Pretty chilly here too. Looks like in the 50s for highs all week...Wednesday 48. This is actually below average.

LOL! Each week the owners of the Dis and Dreams and some other members (WM Corey, WM Will, etc...) do a round table discussion via podcast. I don't do the downloading stuff...I just listen from the computer. Im not very technical either. http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-podcast/

The Dis has never participated in Mousefest before, but they are this year.
http://www.mousefest.org/default.asp I go every year, not particularly for MF, but it's usually that weekend Im down there. But anyway they have been alluding to some HUGE event that they are planning for the night of 12/13 and they aren't giving us a clue as to what it is. It looks like they will announce it on this weeks podcast and I'm dying to know.

Hummm...so on these podcasts...you just sit & listen to people talk about Disney stuff? Like listening to the radio?

Gert - DS also still misses VMK...he said he still has it as his Homepage...people still ask them if they'll ever bring it back. (The answer is still "No".

Definitely a convenience to just be able to scoop 'em right out of the freezer with the ice cream scoop!! I am still working my way thru trying everything myself. I just ordered some more stuff last week to try. I personally am not a huge fan of alfredo sauce but have ordered it to try 'cuz DH and DS both like alfredo and I liked their Pine Nut Basil Pesto and the Marinara sauce so I figured I should give it a whirl. I also ordered the Perfect Parmesan Biscuit mix to try 'cuz they just look yummy! One of the guests at my neighbors party brought a blank check and a list from her neighbor to order for her...she ordered 6 boxes of them so I am guessing they'll be good!! I have found that the cakes are also quite moist. DS likes the Absolutely Almond Pound cake with the Berry Tempting Topper or the Rhubarb Strawberry Fruit Spread on top. So far the Artichoke & Spinach Warm Dip mix has been a beeg hit too. I have sold several of those. A couple of other items that have been popular are the Bayou Bourbon Glaze and the Pomegranate Chipotle Sauce. Anyway, that was just a little rundown...thanks for taking a peek!

Well, I suppose I shall go to the grocery store today maybe. I didn't make it that far yesterday (but I DID finally find DS some furry Crocs)! Hummm...might make a meatloaf and mashed potatos tonight. DS and I get our flu shots this evening and DH has his early class. I had made the appt. late (6:15) hoping that I might be working by now...but obviously that was unnecessary to have thought ahead like that. I could have the meatloaf mixed up & just stick it in the oven when we get home from the appt., right? (As in I should not leave it in the oven while we are gone, right?)

Yes, Annie...don't leave the oven on while you are gone.

And yep, its like listening to the radio, but on the computer. They do differnt segments, like Julie (Corey's wife)does the Store Tours, shopping info, Kevin does dining reviews (some of those are classic), they do news, and rapid fire(each one has a quick blurb about something), they review the Halloween Party, stuff like that. Its a nice Diseny fix when you cant be there.

Coach Johnna just filed a complaint to the league regarding her game this past weekend. And now we wait for the response...

Not doing anything exciting today. Clearing off the desk (who keeps piling all of this stuff on here?) And paying bills. Blech.

Soccer? Ah I will be glad when the season is over. We only play 8 games but man every year about week 6.5 I am kinda done. Short story - league sent email out to coaches Friday about some "points" which should be read as "things coaches and refs are complaining to us about". Included in that was making sure your players wear the league uniform with specific reference to goalies wearing a jersey that is not blue or white (our players all wear the same reversible shirts) Well in our game a goalie was subbed in wearing her team jersey - she picked up the ball. My sidelines wanted a hand ball. My players were confused. Ref on other side of field says "that's his goalie". Coach Johnna says "then put a jersey on her". Ref on my side of the field says "I'll take care of it at half time" Coach Johnna and parents say "take care of it now" Ref blows a fuse does usual ref rant about bad parents and not having to take it. Coach Johnna says "Just do your job - put a jersey on that goalie" Asst Coach Eric says "Coach Johnna go the other way" he calms parents down until ref says "don't know why you are complaining you are winning". Mild mannered DH could not believe this dumb answer A. it should not matter-enforce the rule and protect the goalie B. we weren't winning. DOH. All she simply had to do was put a jersey on the goalie. Ref says to sideline "if any of you would like to leave feel free - I hear a specific "get out" and assume players grandmother who jumped out of her chair to yell "do you job". Imagine my surprise when I look up to see DH takes Leetle Pirate and leave the field. Goalie never puts on another shirt.

Ref is just plain wrong here - player safety has to come first. If this goalie had been hurt it would have been her coaches fault but I don't think those parents would have felt the same way. It would have been bad coaching on my part and my players would be bad mouthed. My players would have been carded and/or removed from the game and that would be the refs fault. Cheesed me because the coaches had been warned by email not 2 days before. And this coach's entire family plays soccer including him and the wife. He should know better and I am sure he does. Coach Johnna does not enjoy lame delay of game tactics or placing your players in a situation like that where they could obviously be hurt. So I filed a complaint. I think these coaches should be somehow held accountable for this kind of Cr@p. So wished we played that team again.

Coaches Coordinator responded today and thanked me for my email. Really!? Said I had some valid points and she would send an email out to all the coaches again. Worked wonders before so I expect the same result. She "assured" me the ref issue would be handled by the Ref Coordinator. I would like to be invited to that meeting. Thinking of going to the board meeting for the purpose of stirring the pot a little more. But figure the league really won't like that. Really curious as to what goes on in those meetings.

Anyhow that's my not so short story.
