OK, the phone interview is over already...very quick...only 17 minutes. Sigh. She was looking for someone with more CRM experience than what I have...BUT it's a beeg company (2,600 ppl around the world) so they have a big HR dept. and this is at their US HQ. They have an HR meeting together later today & she said she sees a lot of good stuff on my resume that she likes so she's going to take it to this meeting and pass it around to some of the other HR Generalists. That's positive I guess. Maybe they will have something else turn up.

Well, DS and I were at that fair for about 5 hours yesterday! (My foot was NOT happy with me!) Why do all carnival rides spin? My stomach was not feelin' the spinning very well last nite for some reason! The "Spider" did me in!! My stomach was done with the rides by the time we hit that one! But it was a pretty nice Midway this year...

We went to the Rabbit Barn...lots of ooo's & ahh's...the place was packed! DS wanted to adopt a bunny...they ARE SO-O cute...I found a little black lop that was born May 22...took first place in his class...only $65...he was so cute - love those long ears...but not sure that Buzz & Woody would like to have a bunny for a brother?! We'll have to read up on them. I had a bunny when I was a kid...but it was outside...I'm not into keeping it outside...not sure how the inside thing would go over...thinkin' not so much! But oh so cute.

DS wanted to eat caramel apples (since he won't be able to have them for awhile after he gets his braces next Monday). What a sticky mess - he had caramel on his nose! I had to have funnel cake! The grease smelled too good to pass on!

ANYWAY, I only got 2 ribbons....I came in 2nd out of 21 entries in the class that I put the Blue Lagoon pic in and I came in 4th place out of 26 entries with the beach seascape from Heads Up Bar.

Mine is the one with the red ribbon, next to the first place winner (with the blue ribbon)...

And this one mine is the one with the yellow ribbon...

The Olympics are killin' my bedtime! Michael Phelps seems to never swim before 10:30 or 11:00! Even with TIVO it's tough to keep up....anybody else watch the syncronized diving? Pretty neat...

Love me some Olympics. Addicted. Seriously. We were up til 1 last night for the men's team gymnastics. Tonight looks like it'll be the same for women's...

I will be right there with you, oph. The Chinese men were AWESOME I kept thinking "ouch!" everytime one of them flipped around on the parellel bars. C'mon, that just had to hurt! Can't wait for the women's tonight.

I also stayed up to watch the women's sand volleyball. Growing up on/near the beaches where it was invented, I have a certain affinity for it. Can't play it to save my life, mind you but love it just the same. One of the commentators (Karch Kiraly went to UCLA same time as I did - LOVED to watch him play! He dated, briefly, one of my sorority sisters so I used to drool over him when he'd come pick her up.)

I want to watch the trampoline, women's tennis (with Bab's who starts tennis in two weeks), women's swimming, nad whatever else catches my eye. Man, I wish they'd put off the start of school just until the Olympics is over.


Annie- Bets hasn't flown since DD was a baby and there was some turbulance. She's been scared ever since (altho, I've been workin' on her....)

Mornin' ya'll

I stayed up until ALMOST 1:00 to watch Phelps and the women's gymnastics...i felt bad for that one girl - u know she just wanted to cry so bad but didn't want to do it on camera. VERRY tired now today! Hard to get up with the sun not coming up so early too...

I am SO-O pissed. I have been going out & spraying my poor tomato plant faithfully with an arsonol of products. Gave it some more Miracle Grow and I was back up to 10 tomatoes...one was actually getting a little size to it. The sprinkler ran last night so I dropped DS off at camp I just went out to spray it again and 10 of them were gone already - including the biggest one!! Branches and all - GONE! GRRRRR!! I cannot find this stoopid worm! I am hoping my parents or my aunts can find it when they come on Sat.!!

Question for some of you Moms with prior orthodontic experience...will DS still be able to eat peanut butter & jelly sandwiches? They said no toasted bagels with the braces (a bit of a problem for me as the swim coaches recommend the bagels for the carbs + I have been trying to get more calories in him with the butter & cream cheese on them...). But PB&J is also a fairly substantial staple in this house too...and I was making him one for lunch today & started wondering if the peanut butter was going to be another problem?! Other than raw carrots, apples, hard & sticky candies (like gummys & snickers) and hard chips like tortillas what else is he going to have to give up?! I have enough problems getting the kid to eat!

no bagels? Hmmm I guess cause they are crunchy. Cut them up into bite sized pieces. Should be OK I would say. And if you are using super mega chunk PB I would switch to a creamier formula and go for it. You only wear braces once. Or twice. What's a few broken brackets!?

Just scheduled Sears Home Service. YIPPEE. Not even slightly warm my dryer. No workee.

Must reschedule riding lessons tonight. Soccer dontchaknow. I need coffee. Olympics are killing me also. I could nap all afternoon - but how come it is when I go to bed I can't sleep? Nope brain won't shut off. Wide awake. Get sleepy about 5 am. It's not good for me. Today - no iced tea in the afternoon. Gonna start there and work my way up to hiring a nanny and just sleeping all day.

OK gotta get leetle pirate up and walk Ry to school.
