My newly renovated house is killing all my computers!!! The 5th computer won't power up since our power outage today. It is not even 4 years old. So even if I bought the 3 year warranty, it would have not been covered. Now I have to spend the time this weekend to open it up and try to replace the power supply. I have a feeling you will only see us with our clothes on our backs and a change of swimming clothes in our carry on. I'm never going to be able to pack for this trip. OOOH, I remembered that I do have the FE gifts!! All I have to do is either go sew fancy or sew plain for the FE holder.

BTW!!! DS17's FE pocket will be on our fish holder!!!!! He is sleeping in MIL&FIL's stateroom. I think it will be best if I leave MIL&FIL's door and fish alone. I will decorate our door only. I don't think this should disrupt anybody's FE gift giving thing since he is a limbo kid.

I bought DS17 a new computer as a grad gift. He ordered parts from newegg.com. He wanted to build a computer because he never did one before. I tried to pursuade him to let me buy him one from Office Depot. He shouted at me: "You won't let me go to the college I want to go. Now you won't buy me the computer I want for graduation!!??" Oh where, oh where did my sweet boy go off to?

Finally after 3 hours of helping him spec out the pieces last night, I ordered his computer parts for him to build. Hopefully it will arrive this Friday so he can put it together and have it working by this weekend. I don't want to share DH's computer with him also. Poor DH, he can't get on his computer until after midnight.

I was able to resurrect my laptop by changing out the hard drive. It took forever to download XP SP1, SP2, and SP3. I still have to reload Office. I still like to use DH's new computer because it is the fastest and the chair is more comfortable.

I don't know what Sawyer might nickname me. The owner of where I work calls me Hiroshima or Nagasaki. Several of the employees here are very offended by his name calling me. I was at first but I don't let it bother me anymore because he is such a jerk and I know to whom I am to file a claim against him since I work with the underwriter. When he renews his policy, I'll stick him with a bigger fee.

Anybody know how hard it is to buy "Made in the USA" ?? I am back on my not buying "Made in China" crap anymore. And finding Leetle Pirate some softer sole type learning how to walk shoes is proving to be pretty difficult.

So I did what any good mom would do. zappos.com baby. If it gets here with a "Made in China" label...I can send it back for free!!

Good thing I already bought my clothes for the cruise!!

Next challenge: hiking boots for DD. Hi Tec boots originated in England. But can't seem to find where they are actually made. But I am done for tonight. Going to bed.

I laughed out loud when that came up...my boss heard me and asked what was so funny!

Good day today..went to the gym last night..got some prepacking for this weekend done and slept good..then, I weighed this morning and I am back to my weight (i think I had some water retention that flipped me out last weekend)..I detox'd myself this week..only eating fruit and salads..no bread or sugar..I think that may have helped! I want to be very thin for this weekend when I see my sister who hasn't seen me for 40lbs! LOL

May - do you have a battery backup for your computer? We have 20 minute battery/surge protectors that were about $200 but they have saved our systems when we have bad storms here...

Anyone read "The Other Boleyn Sister"? I started it this week and it is really good..I was trying to find a book to read by the pool on the cruise, so I may have to hold this one until then

So sorry to hear you have computer problems - that is a time consumption that nobody needs!

OK, well, my FE stuff is basically done now and you had said you were doing 2 FE's so I put together FE gifts for 2 cabins. Make sure when you make your FE that your pockets can hold 2 almost (but not QUITE) 1/2 Lb / 5"x8" items! I am anal ya know...so I am printing out deck plans so I can map out a delivery route and know where I am going...out of the 2 cabin #'s on the spreadsheet you are in the inside one, correct?

That sounds very odd of him...I never filed a formal complaint with any Federal Agency or anything but I DID complain to HR once about this old jerk who thought he was something else and he had been there a long time so he thought he was "safe" when he called me "Baby Cakes" one too many times! I showed him! He steered clear of me for sure after that. But then he insisted on calling me Lee, not LeeAnn. But oh well, better than "Baby Cakes" right?!

So DS's pool got REALLY cold again....it was only about 59 degrees this morning when practice started. But he stuck it out for an hour. I had to pull him out 30 min. early 'cuz his camp has a field trip today. It is only supposed to be in the mid-70's today and they're going to this little zoo up in the Cactoctin Mtns. (near Camp David) and it's very wooded & shady...so I put him in jeans when he changed 'cuz his teeth were still chattering 20 min. after he got out of the pool (and after he'd been wrapped up in sweats). Poor kids. Crazy, crazy weather! His first meet is this evening - with the events that he swims he should have time enough to warm up inbetween events I think if I bring extra towels. I hope.

That's a neat idea...and yes, I have a couple of those bags. (We do alot of take-out food on the weekends so we use them to transport our meals!) This idea reminds me of WAY BACK WHEN I used to rent this little tiny house from my Grandparents in WV. It was so tiny my family always called it the "doll house"! Anyway, it was just an eat-in kitchen with a washer & dryer in the corner, a small living room, 2 small bedrooms & 1 bathroom and only 1 closet! There weren't even any DOORS on any of the rooms except the bathroom! It had no foundation (it was on cinder blocks like a trailer) and had some underpinning. There was NO A/C and NO furnace!! But that's what you get for $150 / month in 1982 right!? Anyway, there was this BIG, BIG gas stove in the living room that pretty much heated the whole house. My pipes would freeze in the winter tho...and the bathroom was SO-O cold!! OMG. I HATED showering. So I would get up and lay 2 towels on top of this stove to warm them up and I would stand in my robe with my butt facing the stove...then I would run in & sit on the toilet with my robe on for a few min. & warm up the seat before I could even stand to "go"! LOL. Then I would go get my towels and wrap one up inside the other one so that I had a warm towel after my shower! It was a pretty funny routine. Ya had to be there to appreciate it.

I was going to put it on the next web site - to be out soon (since we don't have so much time left - and BTW: if'n you and Katie would like to send new pix, I'd be happy to put them up. I already have enough of them other peoples making funny faces)

Sorry I didn't call you last night friend RJ. Between taekwondo testing, and dealing with hormonal hurricane Babs, it was a wild night. Hope you enjoyed.
