DIS-Functional Wonder Peeps 7/20 & 7/24, 2008 PART II

Geeze I'm going NUTS here! I had to buy a new computer (desktop died--power supply issue) so now I have Vista. NO LIKEY THE VISTA!!!

I'm going nuts trying to pull off old data from the old hard drive and system, and get it on the new one. Praying I can get everything off of it. I have a back up drive, and I think I have just about everything, but GEEZE this is taking FOR FREAKIN EVER to get on the new computer.

Thank Goodness my work email and folders are on my laptop as well, and I back those up often so even if something happened I wouldn't lose my work data. Pictures maybe, but work data--no (well, minus a few emails maybe.)

Sigh...I'll get it all done one of these days.
I'm beginning to wish there were more than 24 hours in a day.

I'm excited though because I have two Thirty-One parties scheduled this weekend (one Saturday and one on Sunday.) I'm hoping they are good and get me a few bookings.

Oh Annie--can I come up to Baltimore and hold a party for you?

Good luck with the computer Sue Ellen. We got a new one about 6 months ago and DH was in charge of all that fun stuff. I wouldnt have a clue where to begin. I should probably learn this stuff, huh?

Hey ya'll...I just realized I hadn't been on here all day much...and I know you missed my babbling!

Found out my cousin in WV who was in charge of planning this years family reunion screwed up. He waited too long to reserve the place so we ended up with a totally diff. place on a totally diff. weekend so I'm thinking about skipping it. What a turd he is!! Anyway, so that puts us home / in town for this annual camping event that all of our neighbors do every year. So I contacted the in-charge couple and found out where they're going & what "loop" and (9) sites they're on and booked us a site to go along with them this year. Happy hour at the campfire! They all have connecting sites but I found one not too far away from them that said it was level on the description. We need to do some repairs to the tent. We made a small cut in it pulling out one of the stakes last summer on that rafting trip. So if it's nice on Memorial weekend we'll put it up in the backyard & air it out & see about patching it. Not sure if duct tape is the right thing to use tho! I also bought another can of spray waterproofing. We only put one coat on it last summer & it recommends 2 coats. I debated about this tube of stuff VS the spray...but the tube looked like a mess. I don't know. Any thoughts on that one from anybody? Should we do BOTH? I was also trying to find a campground with openings at the beach again. DH doesn't want to go with just us tho. He's only interested in going with a group. (He doesn't like us much.) So I guess we're not going to the beach this summer. I was thinking August would be nice...the Delaware / Maryland Atlantic beaches finally starts warming up a little by then! Oh well...will just make me enjoy CC all the more, right?!

Piddled around outside a bit this afternoon...my filters on the pond are requiring extra work (cleanings). Not sure what's wrong. Not happy with it right now.

DS's science fair is Tuesday...had to poke & prod him to work on that today...OH Yeah. THAT's why I wasn't on the computer...his doesn't have Word so he had to use mine.... He's doing Solar Energy this year...using 2 small solar panels with a desk lamp to power a small battery operated radio.

SE - good luck with the new computer! I am not noticing so much of the Vista thing any more with my new one...

I am going more on a FE count than a personal count I think. I don't know....I have several SMALL items (you can read that as both physically small and as CHEAP! ) but I was debating about slipping in more than one night...although I certainly don't have to...my stuff can be done all at once too.

Oh Miss Cheri - I know you told me "my day" but do you have it planned out where it goes on all week with somebody doing something every day? If I do it all just once that would certainly be easier than running around from us steerage folks all the way up to the penthouses & inbetween every other day or so......... Do you have a preference on how this is run?


Rock wall climbing party starts at 3:30...need to leave here around 3:00. Am about to run out to the grocery store to pick up DS's cake. Actually, I ordered 2 - one "normal" cake and one of these "chocolate chip cookie cake" things that he likes. I made him Kona Coffee Chocolate Chip pancakes this morning with strawberries on top. Yummm. I am thinking that I might mix up a batch of the batter to take camping next month. That would be easy enough to cook outdoors for breakfast. I had bought a cheapy griddle thing to put in the camping supplies and I have a plastic squeeze bottle that I could put the batter in! I can just plop that bad boy on top of my handy dandy camp stove & VOILA!!
