lol..i am glad I could strong-arm some of my contacts into donations..I forgot my bonding agent sent a big one...maybe I should have been nicer to him today...

in other news..the bookkeeper gave me his 5 day notice today!!! YIKES!! I think he wants more money from the owner...darn him for knowing we are dependent on him!!

I havent thought much about packing lately. Check again after school gets out. Lets see, DH will wear the suit he has on in the pictures I posted. No tie with that. He will do that for Palo, and now that I think of it, maybe the dress up nights too? I'll have to check with him on that. At least 1 of the dress up nights Im sure.

The kids, I dont know yet. Going over what I just thought here, they will need 2 outfits for pirate nights, 2 casual outfits and 2 dress up night outfits. Going on that I will probably pack one for each and they can wear them each twice. I will be doing laundry.

Oh and dont worry about my Kaluah. I can get that at the Resort Shop, its easier.

OK, just back from my first ever field trip! It was only about 40 degrees this morning but it turned into a gorgeous afternoon and at lunchtime we were able to ditch our jackets in the buses. Mt. Vernon is an estate on the Potomac with like 8,000 acres so it was a lot of walking. But the kids seemed to enjoy it. They insist the paint colors in the Mansion are true to the originals...there were some pretty yukky colors goin' on in there. But it was interesting.

I was only planning pirate night / theme attire for the 4 n cruise...no true costumes for us I don't think and DH & DS will probably only wear headgear of some sort with pirate themed T-shirts or something...DS had a Jack Sparrow costume for Halloween a couple years ago but I doubt anything but the hat with the dreads fits him any more...I'll have to see how much room we have when I start packing for real... Isn't everybody else that's going on the 3 n cruise going to be at the VR on that pirate night???

CamColt - if we're stopping for other stuff we can talk about the Kaluah - won't hurt us to get it for ya if ya want!

OK, so I got an email today while I was out about an admin. job I answered an ad for a couple weeks ago. It's at Hughes Network Systems which is HUGE and VERY CLOSE to us... I need to answer it positively as I need to go check it out if I can. Out of all the ads I've answered (not that there's been THAT many) I am really surprised they contacted me for this one as the job description does NOT have my name screaming all over it and it specifically states that it supports a large dept. of 40 people - something I have never done and is not reflected in my resume....BUT....getting into a place like Hughes would have a lot of advantages....I have to look at the whole "get your foot in the door" aspect of it....I think they're one of those places that close for the whole week of Xmas! Last week I only found 2 ads to answer! The week I answered this one I only found 5. So the odds are against me right now... I must draft a return email this evening after we get home from swimming....

I thought the 2nd night was formal day but SE wrote that there was no formal day on the 4 day. I was going to wear the same dress for 2nd night and 3rd night at Palo.

There is not a "formal night" per se on the 3 and 4 nighters, however they do have an optional dress up night. On the 4 night this is Monday, and on the 3 night it is Saturday.
