Rick, Betsy and Katy came this morning and we went down to the Swimming Hall of Fame on the beach for a karate demonstration event promoting Olympics in China. Hot, Hot. It was supposed to be 91 and it felt like it. There was no place to sit and a few umbrella. Everyone tried to huddle around them in the shade. They were having diving also and there is absolutely no shade in those grand stands. We left as soon as Katy did her fan whatever. I didn't get burned but Betsy's arms and shoulders did. I was in the shade more than she was. Also, I was coated with sun screen. After my skin cancer on my face, no more Florida sun for me. We all came back to my place and went straight to the pool. It really felt good. They took me out to dinner at Bonefish Grill for my mother's day. What a nice day!

Beautiful family picture!! At our church, the girls wear white dresses and the boys wear blue suits. However few boys wear black suits. I hope you did not have a hard time finding a white boy's suit.

Thanks for mentioning about your DH suit for Palo. My DH was wondering what to wear. He has a tux but I don't think it would be appropiate for the 4 day cruise.

I've got a dress in mind but I am not sure how to post pictures. I may have to email Cheri and get her approval if it is appropriate. With this new dinner time rotation is the 2nd night is still formal night? Will I get lauged at if I wore the same dress on formal night and at Palo?

I had a garage sale which was part 2 from 4 months ago. I made over $300. This was more than our tax refund. woohoo.

There isn't a formal night on the four night cruise. The attire is pretty casual on the three and four night sailings. I don't think wearing the same dress twice is an issue at all. Plenty of people do this (and men do it all the time with their suits!)

Hey SE - I saw a thread over on the DVC boards that said your boy (Jon Bon Jovi) was at the DVC Vero Beach resort recently with his family! HAD to think of you!

So I have been thinking more about this bus driver thing. I wish DS was older. It's an EARLY start - the High School buses pick up around 6:30 am!! Then they move on to Middle School then do the Elem. pick-ups - and most do 2 schools per run... I do not think I can rely on DH to start getting not only himself up but also to get DS up, dressed, fed & dropped off or whatever. That would just be such a dramatic change to EVERYONE. If DS was in High School he would have to be up early himself so I could get him up before I left...but DH being in charge of someone else besides himself?! THAT would be funny.

That's nice! We have a Bonefish Grill here but we've never been - I've heard it's quite good tho. They're not on our "curbside take out" list!


DH gave me a gift card to my fav. greenhouse / nursery (he forgot MIL gave me one at Xmas) and he downloaded all of David Cook's songs from AI and made me a CD (from DS)...he printed a couple pictures of him and made a little CD cover...personalized it with the date and all the Mother's Day info. etc.

Thanks May! And yes, we could not find a white suite anywhere. No one sells them anymore. I ended up having to take Cams old one to a tailor to be taken in(he was way bigger at 8 than Colt is now). A few kids wore khaki pants with the blue blazer but most had the white suits.

I will be rewearing things on the curises so, we can laugh at each other.

I hope all the Moms are are enjoying their Mothers Day!

Oh and Annie, while I really like the ticker with all the drinkies, I think the bottle of Rum fits you better.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you that deserve it.

Ophie's brother was in Orlando on vacation starting on Thursday, so we went up there to for a one night stay at OKW. We got up there in time to use the pool with the sandcastle slide before dinner. Went to Bahama Breeze in Orlando, which is closer to the Sea World Hilton they were staying at. Then we went to Beaches N Cream at the Beach Club for ice cream. Ophie's sister-in-law opted for gilatto instead (RJ's favorite treat). We split mint chocolate chip ice cream and just chilled by the pool. I sent some pic texts to Beano and RJ of the pool and of the restaurant. It was hotter than the blazes at WDW. I can only imagine that it is gonna get hotta. Welcome one and all to the home of the humid summer!

It has officially begun. Best weightloss program in the country. Come to Florida and stand still. You will lose 5lbs an hour guaranteed!!!

Hey RJ! Kay had the mango gelato. She said it was quite yummiful. It was late last night by the time we were there so they were out of the Raspberry, so no RonnieJo-Raspberry-Chocolate combo for her... but when we're there I'll make sure to get you some... even if I have to drag the cast members into the back room and break into tomorrow's stock.
