Oh drat! I just saw this! Too late now! I would need DS to find you and it's like almost midnite here! He plans to play every minute he can I think between now & May 21 or whenever...keep me posted on your whereabouts and I'll have him look for you next time! He cried (practically sobbed) for about an hour. He shot off some email / comment thing to them telling them how he's going to lose so many friends & all...it's like he's really, really attached to some of these characters.:sad2: And his pen pal out there in CA plays...I guess he'll just have to play with her on ToonTown after this.

That's pretty cool RJ...what program do you use? I was toodling around again this eve. in PSE....I'm stuck now on what to do next & DH isn't home to help!:rotfl2: (I wrote it down I swear I did but I can't find the note!) Anyway, so I'm goin' to bed!

No fancy programs here RJ - me likey your warhol-ish picture:thumbsup2

And yes, speaking in code. DH says we must change our names to protect the innocent.

So please don't use our real names: Gertrude and Stymie anywhere on these boards.

Hi Everyone,

My family could really use some pixie dust and prayers. I will try to make it short in explaining it. about 3 1/2 year ago, my dad was diagnosed with stomach cancer, he had the surgery and they had to remove 2/3rds of his stomach. He did the radiation treatment and kemotherapy treatment all this was done at a well known hospital in New York City, Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital. After he was done with all the treatment, about 6 months later he went back for a routine check up and was declared cancer free, and as time went he lost a lot of weight and his hair grew back, he looked great. Well fast forward to this past week, went for his yearly check up down in New York City, which is a doctor visit and C.A.T scan, when the scan came back with polups in his throat and back area. Apparently their is no need to operate or they can not operate I am not sure, so they are just going to give him the kemotherapy again. What bothers me is, my mom told me that the Doctor told her that we are just prolonging his life by giving him the kemo, I mean what the HELL kind of doctor says something to the wife of a man with cancer, that really made me angry and upset. I really could not think of having my dad around, since over the past couple of years we have grown closer then we have ever been, I think because i am learning a trade and that I am the handiest son of the three, and I think he knows that if something happens to him, that I will be able to take care of things around the house. So if you guys could just say a prayer for our family, we would all appreciate it very much...

P.S. Sorry to put a damper on everyones cruise planning...

Love
Sean and Linda.

Can't wait to see everyone again real soon

 :wizard: Hugs and pixie dust to you all.

Without knowing what exactly is going on with your dad, my stepdad is currently undergoing chemo for lymphoma. A form of cancer which presents as swollen lymph glands or polyps elsewhere in the body. From what we were told, you cannot operate on them as they get "offended" and become very aggressive. Chemo and radiation are used to shrink them into oblivion. Obviously there are so many types of cancer and I do not pretend to know what you are up against out there but perhaps this is something similar??

Some of the best oncologists come out of Sloane Kettering (my stepdads doctor also trained there) but the bedside manners class may need an extra semester in the cirriculum.

I am sorry the doctor seems so impersonal and cold. That is truly not helpful in times like these.

If I may be so bold, my advice is to seek permission from your parents to speak directly with the doctors or perhaps attend the next visit with them. This will give you the chance to ask your own questions and get a direct answer. Sometimes things get lost in translation especially when emotions are running high.

My thoughts are with you. :wizard:

If there is anything we can do I hope you will call on us.

Sean - i too am thinking of you..
They told my parents a similar thing with his brain cancer..we can chemo to prolong his life, but quality of life would not be there..Dad chose no chemo

I am sorry you are going through with this...it is a terrible, horrible, terrible, disease!

and that is all I have to say about that....

Aww Sean, I'm sorry. Here's some pixiedust: and  for you and your family. I think TRM is right - you or your siblings should go with your Mom on future visits, both for more answers and moral support. I will certainly keep you and your family in my prayers for better news on the next visit.

Sean, your family will be in my prayers. I HATE that damn C word!
If you need anything you know how to reach me.

Sue Ellen

I've always wondered RJ... what sort of Croutons are ya?

Seasoned?
Cheese & Garlic?
Onion & Garlic?
Cool Herb Ranch?
Caesar?
Fat Free Herb Seasoned?

Bet you a drink that if you call three more times you will get different answers.

OK, first call today...still gettin' the "no we don't hold anything back" answer! The excursions are first come first served (unlike Palo ressies)! Only 1 more call and I gets myself a drink on Cheri!:rotfl2: Hummm...what shall I have?!:confused3 A Mojito? An Appletini? Hummmm......:goodvibes

OK, so new problem with old cell phone. Around the holidays my battery died right, so I went online & found one on Ebay or something for like $10. OK, so that's been working OK I guess. Seems to lose it's charge pretty quickly tho so am not 100000% convinced it was really "new". But whatever. Saved me a bunch at the time. NOW, whenever I turn it off & plug it in to charge it turns itself back ON and bleeps at me and when I look at it, it says "Unable to Charge"!:headache: I REALLY do not need another freaking stooopid expense right now peeps! Really. I just want to keep the mortgage & cars paid blah, blah...BUT I use my cell phone for ALL of my long distance! :sad2: FRICK! Looks like a trip over to the Verizon store sometime this weekend.:guilty:

So wait... there's a Martini tasting on the 3-day??

How has this not been discussed?!?!

Kimmy is fat free.

Bob is rather garlicky (garlic-ish?)

Ronnie Jo is well seasoned.

I'm kinda cheesy.
