Dis docs, I have a question....

When I had that diverticulwhatchamawhoosis attack, the CT showed a cyst in my kidney. The first report showed that it was a simple cyst, but then the next report showed it's not a simple cyst and it has enhancement and an irregular shape. I go in to get it ultrasounded next week. Anyone have any experience with this? I've been having rib and back pain on that side so I guess I'm not shocked.

A)Kidney cysts are almost always benign (not cancerous).

B)
Some people have kidney cysts caused by an inherited disease called polycystic kidney disease


I would not become alarmed at this point, but since it may be the source of your pain, I think it is great that you doctor is taking steps to get to the bottom of it


Do you have any family members with similar issues?
