DIS Divas Trip! (old thread, see first post for link to new one)

There's already a lot of posting in all the threads listed regarding the runDisney weekends and GetTravel and the other things that are all involved with it so you should be fine. But meet ups can definitely be planned!
!

Fantastic! Thank you!!!!

Good afternoon ladies!

I am so excited about finally having a permanent place to live soon, that I decided to get some address labels for the first time. I didn't like any of the ones that I saw, so I made my own!

Beth--- I am pretty sure the corn cheese stick is an everyday craving. For me at least. :bitelip:
Me too. I found a really good recipe and make my own.

Nice, do you buy pre gummed blank labels? I'd like to make my own too. Yea for having a permanent place to live!

Did you still have the itch to sign up for it? I knew I wasn't going to but there was still this desire to regardless of my disinterest in the actual theme. Darn inaugural medals!

I sort of did just because it's an inaugural race. But I figure being there and volunteering is the next best thing.

TGIF, ladies! :)

I had a fun weekend. Didn't feel the earthquakes on Sat at Knotts. They made an announcement and you could tell the Calif people from the out of state people. We just shrugged our shoulders.:rotfl:
:rotfl2:

Good morning, ladies! :goodvibes

Hope you all had a great weekend. Who's temps are heating up?? I just noticed this morning that we are in for some rising temps here in Vegas. Looks like this week will be in the mid to upper 80's! Of course, it will only continue to rise from there. I am not a fan of the heat! Good news is that it looks like our CA Spring Break trip will only have temps in the 70's, even some upper 60's. Nice. :teeth:

Have a good day everyone!

Happy Monday! Hope everyone is having a good day so far! pixiedust:

Ah, you beat me to it! :p Happy Monday back at ya, January. How are you feeling? I love looking at your ticker.... 22 weeks pregnant. For me those weeks were the nice "in between" time. Over the morning sickness, but not yet so pregnant that I was wishing for it to end already! ;)

Yay! I love the heat, why else would I live in Phoenix?? It might be 97 on Wednesday! As long as it's not that hot when we do MouseAdventure in 3 weeks, I'm okay :flower3:

I like the heat too. I'd rather be too hot, than cold.

Hello, everyone! I am up to my usual things. Which usually means having too many projects to do. LOL! I guess I just like to live on the busy side of life.

In the middle of making 2 Easter dresses for my granddaughters Reese and Ches, and an Elsa costume for Reese for her Birthday coming up. (No Elsa costumes to be found anywhere, unless you spend over $150.00 bucks!:sad2:) So now I have to make one up, because there is no pattern for one.

Also in the midst of planning 2 family reunions. One of them has been going on for over 115 years! And I offered to do it this year. Why did I do that? :confused3 LOL! I have done lots of parties, but this is special, and I hope to live up the tradition. :rolleyes1 You should see the family tree. It is printed up and takes up at least 4-5 picnic tables set up. Oh, and this is my Italian side of the family, so you can guess the tradition there. Ha! We have a picture from 1898 at the picnic. Amazing! The Family names are Peluffo-Piuma-Briano. I come from the Briano's. How is that for some good Italian names. Oh, and I am a very, very distant cousin to the Gallo's and Franzia's.
:rolleyes1 The picnics at one time used to be at the Gallo's private park. Ah.....but those days are gone.

Anywho's life in a nut shell.

I am so glad the wearther wasn't too bad for my off road Sparten/biggest loser challenge Saturday. I am still feeling the pain of finishing those challenges. Man my body had buises everywhere. Yes I said everywhere. :crazy2: With that said I am already looking to do my next one in Temecula Ca in Sept. :cheer2:

Sounds like you're as busy as ever huh? Did you say you may be doing more Sweatshirts? I was wanting to get another one but a pull over type.

Melody, wow! That all sounds incredible!!

Coming from a small, distant family, I am happily teary-eyed, imagining the richness that must come from a multi-generational, large, close family. Good luck with the sewing and planning! And, if you feel like sharing, I'd love to hear how it goes :)

I don't even want to know how hot it is here today. Even this morning at 8am when I went to job#1 it was already super warm. Plus there's an apartment complex construction site just a few blocks from where I am that caught on fire so we've got the added smoke to boot.

It's going to be a long summer. It is just starting to dawn on me that I'm going to be working outside a lot more than I used to and our costumes aren't exactly the coolest things in the world so I gotta go drink me some water!

Yeah I just go to Walmart or Staples and pick up a packet of labels. I made the designs in photo shop to fit them.

Thanks. I'm going to give it a try this weekend.

Nice and warm here! Love it !

Mel, your reunion sounds wonderful. I would love for my family to have one. There are a lot of us spread all over but we just don't keep in touch with the distant ones.

Planning to be back in the parks on the 27th.:cool1:

Found this in another thread:

Check this out, if you have thick skin, search your user name, you'll likely come up in circle of sarcasm. The link doesn't work, pretty sure the DIS doesn't want it on here; google "unoriginal DIS" to find the website. Pretty funny!! I saw some recognizable names on there!!

I heard about that site around the time I joined the dis. It is pretty entertaining, although they can be very cruel to some.

I know, guess they have nothing better to do... oh, and they're, of course, all perfect!

At least my name didn't show up!!
