DIS Divas Trip! (old thread, see first post for link to new one)

Can't wait to meet you and baby "BOY". Babies are such a wonderful blessing. I am sort of hoping for an early birth then he can be the first and only male at the Diva Meet and Greet. He would have 99 nana's -- play on the 99 ghosts from HM. Congratulations to the new Mommie and Daddy :).

Beth what an awesome Tag! It's good to know that the tag fairy is still around. But you talk so much, you are always bound to get new tags :p

I hope you can make it for at least part of the trip :thumbsup2. I'm also crossing fingers that I make it for part of the trip.

And here's my big announcement for the year: I'm pregnant :). I'll be 38 weeks pregnant during the ladies trip so I'll be very uncomfortable to say the least. But there is no way in heck I will miss the trip so even if I'm in early signs of labor I will be there! I already have a couple volunteers to push me around in a wheelchair :thumbsup2.

I go on Saturday to find out what I'm having, so if anyone can send me some good juju vibes for a boy, I'll appreciate it :wizard: pirate:.

I have a friend who wants to come to the trip. She's not on the DIS. Do I just tell you her name, and she'll be added. She's a local like me and doesn't plan on staying at the hotel but driving back and forth. Her name is Cheryl. I'm getting her the info on the Meet and Greet and everything.

WOW Katie! What exciting news! Congratulations to all of you! What does Laila think about becoming a big sister?

TGIF Ladies! I'm so glad it's Friday this week dragged a little for me :snail:. Anyone have any big plans? I know several ladies will be in Disneyland for Mouseadventures and I'm so happy to be meeting up with a few of them. I need a break!

Whoo hoo Katie! And can't wait to see you on Saturday!

I'm so looking forward to tomorrow it has been a LONG time with just hanging out with ladies.

Awww thanks  but I really hope the baby doesn't come that early! I need one last child-free hoorah for my own sanity! Plus he'll have plenty of time to meet all you great ladies. Laila has grown up with a lot of the ladies and they are her honorary aunties. I swear once a week she asks' me if we are going to meet my friends at Disneyland. She misses everyone.

Yep, that's about it. Beth will eventually see your post and add her to the list.

She's pretty excited but that may change once the baby arrives LOL. Currently she calls it her Cookoo bird??? She carries around a pic of my first ultrasound and when she can't find it she'll say "where's that picture of my Cookoo bird." It's pretty funny stuff.

Just popping in for a quick hello!! It's Noelle's homecoming today so I'm going to be helping her get ready for that. I hope everyone at Disney this weekend has a great time!
Go Dazzling Divas!! :cheer2:
Go Dashing Divas!! :cheer2:
Go Dynamite Divas!! :cheer2:
Go Green Feather Boa Divas!! :cheer2:

Fingers crossed for Katie for a male cuckoo bird! :cool1: :rotfl:

Welcome to our new member, Cheryl!! :wave2:

Take care, ladies!! :)

Congrats Katie!

I've always wanted to see a Disneyland Birth Certificate, so keep that in mind. :thumbsup2 ;)

ROFL! On one hand, that would be pretty cool. On the other.... hm.... I'm thinking Katie would probably favor a more traditional birthing experience. LOL Although giving birth at the Grand wouldn't be bad. And it would still be Disneyland....

Well, I'm now 80 days till my next DL trip. LOL Currently, the next trip is set for December 17/18 so I can see the Christmas decorations in CarsLand (missed it last year since I was at WDW).

I tweaked my back a week or so ago and riding Space Mountain and Screamin this week probably didn't help it any. At least I didn't go on the Matterhorn. I'm hobbling about like a little old woman. I need a costume for the witch from Snow White. I've got that hunched over thing down pretty good. LOL

Nothing much going on around here. I've almost finished with my photo album from my WDW trip last year. I'm using the Project Life format. I printed out 191 photos at Target a couple weeks ago. I've got most of them in the pages. I just need to do the journaling cards and decorate the binder. The binder I got is black with little white dots. Easy to "Mickey-fy". Because of that project, I got seriously behind on a couple other crafty things that need my attention. Maybe this week.... LOL

Hey! Is anyone going to be at DL the last week of October? A friend of mine from Utah is looking at going Monday-Wednesday that week, and I may pop down either Mon/Tues or Tues/Weds. Still tentative, but if I make it down there, I'd love to see any Divas I can!

Good morning, ladies! Happy Monday.... not! Going to bed at 1 a.m. and waking up at 6 a.m. is not fun. I wouldn't recommend it.
Hope y'all have a great day! :)

Hello ladies,

I'd like to share with you something new that we are doing this year. A Diva group Meal Planning Committee. The reason behind the formation of this committee basically boils down to numbers. We are now a group of 100-plus members! It's very exciting to see our huge growth from year one, but when it comes to things like meal planning and reservations, I knew some changes would have to be made.

In the past, we've discussed meal options on our trip thread, and those who had an opinion or preference, were able to share it. With such a high number of attendees this year, most likely that discussion would only lead to chaos and nothing really being accomplished.

To avoid that, I invited a couple of ladies, chosen based on a range of income, age, number of years with the group, and even food preferences, to be on the first ever meal planning committee. This year's members are Tina, Cheryl, Trudi, Kandace, Bridget, Capri, and myself.
We have been working for the past month on forming a schedule of meal options that include a variety of both counter service as well as table service meals. I believe we have come up with a good selection that will appeal to most, if not all, of the group.

The meal sign-ups will begin next week sometime so keep an eye out for that. The meal selections will be posted, along with a couple new guidelines that we've had to implement not only due to the size of our group, but also based on Disney's new policy regarding no-shows at meals. So, when that post is made, please make sure to read it thoroughly, and make your selections carefully.

I'd like to thank all the members of this year's planning committee. They've done a great job! I'd also like to note that this committee will be changing members from year to year, so those on the committee for the 2014 trip, will not serve on the committee for the 2015 trip. That way we can get fresh voices and opinions each time.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask here. Otherwise, keep an eye out for the meal sign-ups to begin next week. Thanks, ladies! Looking forward to a great trip!! :cool1:

Beth, you're making me even more excited for this year's trip! Or is it next year's trip? Whichever! Now if I can just decide whether to commit to the meet and greet.....

It was a pleasure being on the committee!

I think the meal planning committee is an awesome idea! Thanks to everyone serving. I know you all work so hard and I always appreciate it.

Congratulations to Wendy on your darling girl, and to Katie on your darling girl to come. It does give me a momentary twinge of baby envy, but just a tiny one.

I am enjoying my freedom as it arrives, with a 10 year old and a 17 year old.

Ladies,
I have a week in a 1 bedroom at Saratoga Springs reserved for Dec 15th that I am not going to be able to use. I just realized it was going to cost me about $300 to cancel it. If you or anyone you know could use this week, please pm me.

Don't know when I will be back on, as times are crazy. Thank you all for your kind messages and prayers for my sister. She has gotten through her first chemo treatment and hopefully will be home soon.

Tracey, I am sorry I didn't know that your sister has cancer. I know how that feels. I hope that the chemo helps. If you get back on, what is your sister's name? I will keep her in my prayers.

A big thank you to our meal planning committee! :cheer2:
I know that with such a big group, this will help tremendously!

I know that Beth will probably post this on the front page, but if any of you don't like any of the options, you are not stuck with them. Just eat whatever you want.
No worries! :thumbsup2

Anyways, looking forward to the schedule! :cool1:

11PM and 5AM here, so I truly feel your pain. LOL

And HOORAY for the dining committee!!!!
