Good morning and Happy New Year's Eve! I am in beautiful and cold Quebec City, Canada! And for all the Canadian Divas - I had some Poutine....and loved it!

Update on the dining reservations -

Wed 2/27 - Storyteller's at 5 pm for 24 (only time for a large group)
Thurs 2/28 Surf's Up at 8:40 am for 6
Fri 3/1 Carthay Circle for 24 at 6 pm - will hear directly from them shortly
Sat 3/2 Plaza Inn for 24 for 8 am - will hear direclty from them shortly
Sat 3/2 Big Thunder BBQ for 24 at 12:30 pm
Sat 3/2 Carnation Cafe for 5 at 6 pm
Sat 3/2 Cafe Orleans for 28 at 6 pm - will have to call in a few days

I am going to post on FB the details for Fantasmic! dessert seating for those interested. If you are not on FB and want to go, please send me a PM.

Well, in just a little bit, I am going to attempt to make cannoli, to bring to a friends house tomorrow. We usually do Dutch olliebollen traditionally cuz DH is Dutch, but now it is time to introduce the Italian side.

I love cannoli, but never had the shell tubes to make them. Finally bought some, so I guess I had better give it a try. I don't usually do the deep fry thing, so I had better watch out.
I'm going to use my family's recipe for the filling. Ricotta cheese, cream, pistachios, maraschino cherries, sugar, almond extract and mini chocolate chips. Also calls for citron peel, but I am not into that stuff. Maybe I will do some orange zest. I will report back on my success or failure at some point. LOL!

Beth, Farley plays his fiddle in FL, usually by the store across from the pin store. He's super nice!!

It's NYE, I'm going out tonight. Thought we were closing early today but it doesn't sound like we are now. I'm thinking I might order pizza for lunch but if everyone wants some they should pitch in so I haven't quite decided just yet. I need to though, it's just about lunch time. I'll post some photos on FB, we are getting dressed up tonight but I'm wearing my boots, was going with the black ones but now I'm thinking of wearing my brown ones.....I'm wearing a red dress and Micah's wearing a red shirt and tie.

Yes, Laurie is in charge of the snack bar again.
We are getting new name tags for the lanyard. I've already been in touch with Callie regarding that and Dan has sweetly, and generously agreed to work on something wonderful for us again.
The phone list was mentioned in that FB post I made today. It will be started, along with the arrival/departure list, in January.

Do we need a snack bar with all the regular food?
With over 50 Divas coming to the M&G the snack table will be groaning.

Oh yes, we need a snack bar. Do not mess with this fat chick's snacks.
Actually, many of the ladies take the snacks and keep them to munch on during the course of the trip. I know last year, I saw a couple ladies eating granola bars while waiting for the princess photo that they had taken from the snack bar. I think it's a tradition many of us enjoy. And, we had about 50 ladies last year at the actual party, and believe it or not there wasn't as much left over as you might think.
Plus, some brought items that were useful, not edible, such as the hand sanitizer, the Kleenex covers and Bernice's fun hand made items. There might have been others things too that I've forgotten...

The BBQ is too close to breakfast for us, we just wouldn't be hungry so soon.Maybe we'll drop by to say hello.

Beth, I sent shirts and sweatshirts to Rose/Astylla, and Kit/raftislander. Roseann/rtfelt ordered a pink and purple shirt, and is supposed to pick them up at the Meet and Greet. All items paid for. So hopefully they still are attending.
