Good morning, ladies!! :goodvibes

Girls, I asked my mom a couple of days ago if she would be interested in making this trip with me. She immediately said no, which didn't surprise me in the least. HOWEVER, after talking it up a little more, she said it sounds fun and she MIGHT wanna come! Woo hoo! She has never been to Disneyland without little kids (either us or her grandkids) in tow! Keep your fingers crossed! I even showed her Mel's blinged hot pink tshirt from last year and she admitted it was "cute"... which is pretty incredible coming from her!!!!
Oh, that would be awesome! I hope it works out for her to join us.

HEY! I just thought of something (seeing Rochelle's pix on FB) - I know one off park property trip I'd be VERY interested in doing.... the Disney Soda Fountain and Studio Store in Hollywood! It's still DISNEY, but you don't need a ticket. Thoughts?
I've been there. It's a lot smaller than you think. Just an FYI. But, still a cute place to stop by for ice cream. Food is just meh.

I am a beach girl myself. I've been missing it a lot, so personally I'll probably stick to the beach. I am looking forward to eating out on the pier.
But, I think a couple of ladies were interested like Sarah, and .... I can't remember who else.

After being added to the Facebook group, I GET IT NOW!!!!!:rotfl:
:lmao: :thumbsup2

I am so excited to finally see all the changes to DCA this weekend! That is all.
Have fun!!

LOL! I don't. :snooty:
I tagged you in a post on Facebook....check it out. ;)

Hello Ladies!

I haven't posted in awhile, but reading through it looks like we have a lot of ladies going to DL in October. With the info I gathered on FB plus what I see here, I came up with a list and would like to get dates as well, so even if we don't have an organized meet we can still see who is there that we may know. This is what I have so far, so please post any corrections or additions:

Carol/Lisa 10/13-20 Hojo
Capri ? HoJo
LisaCat 10/19-20 HoJo
Jane 10/18-21
Linda/Cheryl 10/20
Stacie 10/12-15
Karisa 10/14-16
Mel ?
Beth (maybe)
If I go, I'll be there Oct. 18 or 19, through the 21st.

I thought you couldn't go in October cuz Noelle was in a play? Or is that iffy now?

Also, do not forget your trip coming up at the end of this month. :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Carol, I will be at DL the 28th and 29th of this month, staying at Holiday Inn Walnut.
Then going again on the weekend of Oct. 12th-14th, at the DL Hotel. :cool1:

She is. I was doing a solo trip end of Sept. and a family trip mid October.
Basically, we are switching them. I'll go end of Sept and the family will tag along for part of the time. Then, I'll go solo in mid October. Ruben will be here to take her to the play.

Wondering... since i am planning on upgrading to an AP during this trip, if I should go into the park(s) Saturday night (using the first day of my parkhopper to do so) and potentially meet up with some of you (leaving my poor children at the hotel with grandma and grandpa lol) and then upgrade to the AP that night???? So many things to think about.....:confused3
Definitely wait until your last day to upgrade your ticket to an AP. The AP expires 1 year from the day it's purchased or upgraded, so if you upgrade at the beginning of your trip you've just needlessly paid for the rest of the days of your parkhopper :).

Glad to see you got your priorities straight. :thumbsup2

So are we still meeting up on Friday 10/19? Park hours are not up yet but based on the earlier weeks it looks like DL 8am-7pm and DCA 8am to 11pm. I have still not been to Trader Sam's so any volunteers for drinking buddies that night? (Capri owes me :drinking1) And those going the previous weekend (Stacie, Mel, Karisa), how about meeting up for lunch or a snack on 10/14?

LOL

I'm game for whatever. I think the earliest Lisa and Linda could meet up was around 9:30 that morning. Not sure about Cheryl, Capri, etc.
Since I'll be there solo, I can stay out as late as I want. :teeth: I love Trader Sam's. I'll go! Someone can have my drink after I take one sip of it. :lmao: Or, maybe I should just get a clue and order a non-alcoholic version...

I am so bummed I'm going to miss seeing Stacie, Mel, and Karisa the weekend before. Although, I'll be seeing Stacie and Mel in September. :cool1:

Even though I go to the parks a lot I just can't bring myself to take a day off from the ladies trip. :)

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards
I spent more time there than in DL this weekend. In fact I only crossed over to see the Billys then right back to CA.
LOL

I had a yummy non-alcoholic drink their, so good and half the price!

Oh Shelby good point... I hadn't thought of that.... but I was planning on getting all the discounts on this trip! Eeeek! We aren't eating every meal in the park but we are doing a character breakfast on Monday first thing... oh darn, one more thing I gotta think about!

No this isn't right. When you upgrade your AP is backdated to the first day of use of your hoppers, not to the date you upgrade. Trust me, I've done this at least 3 times.
For instance, you go the parks with your park hopper on Saturday (because APs are blocked) and you have a 5 day hopper, on Monday you upgrade to an AP so you can get some discounts during your stay, well, your AP is still dated for Saturday because that was the first day you used the hoppers. If you're a CA resident then you can use the purchase price of the hoppers towards your down payment and have smaller monthly payments, if you aren't a CA resident then you have paid about half of your AP price up front so you have less to pay upon upgrading. Of course the numbers depend on what hopper you buy.

Kerri is correct. Usually the only reason to delay upgrading is to use the magic morning that comes with the PH. If you are staying onsite then that doesn't matter.

Unfortunately I am not staying on site so I was going to give up my MM on Tuesday (because there isn't one Sunday due to the CHOC Walk).

I am seriously considering getting an annual pass. Especially if I am going to do the girls trip next year as well. Although, that might be hard, as we won't have any dates decided until after this trip. But with our Christmas trip next year and the 2 girls trips, it would save me $150 to get an AP, not including merchandise and meals. So I am really considering it.

Ah! I was mistaken! Thanks for setting me straight :thumbsup2

I would do it. By the second time you go, the AP has paid for itself!

Good morning, ladies!! Happy Hump Day!!

I hope you are all doing well, and having a good week so far.
I was going to wait and start Halloween sign-ups this weekend, but, I don't think I'm going to wait after all. I need something fun to focus on right now, and this will be a nice distraction. If the stores can already be putting Halloween items out, so can I! Besides, it's only a day earlier than I started sign-ups last year.
So, I'm going to go get that thread up and running! Hopefully we'll get lots of sign-ups this year! :cool1:

TTYL!! :sunny:

Mine is right as far as park dates, although I expect to be in anaheim the evening of the 13th and leave the morning of the 17th. My family will all be with me so I am not sure how patient they will be, but I would LOVE to meet up at least briefly with some of you if possible!

Forgot to add, we will be trying out the Anaheim Plaza Hotel.

I haven't read forward, so forgive me if anyone else has mentioned this. If you are upgrading to the AP, make sure you have used your park hopper ticket for any Magic Morning entries first, as those will not be available after you upgrade!

I want to go just to say I've been. And to get a pin (or two).

I'm cranky today. Tech issues. Gag. Spent all morning on that BS and now I have to go to Mega Walmart and go to Verizon in person with my phone. Shoot me. I'll be back later. Hopefully in a better mood. Maybe I'll get a nice bottle of wine while I'm out....... That will help.

YAY!!!!!! I can't wait to start shopping!! I have so many fun ideas and awesome things I've seen so far!

I like short work weeks, it's already half over and I've only worked 2 days. LOL :)

So I don't think I told you guys, my dance teaching "job" has been extended. I'm still doing Mondays but I was also given Fridays and Sundays, we aren't sure Sundays will stay available but I guess they are happy enough with me that they want more days from me. LOL

That's a pretty awesome signature. Courtesy of Jessica I'm guessing?

Will be watching for that site. Looking forward to signing up. Hope everything is ok with you!
